  • Brief overview of the Bobcat Toolcat UW56 with snowblower attachment, wanted to make this video because when my dad purchased it there was no videos online and we didn’t have much information on the machine before buying it. Hopefully this video helps anyone that is looking to purchase. I plan to make more videos of it snow blowing and ploughing snow when we get more snow.

    Our town utilities purchased one of these 5 years ago. (We upgrade every year). This is the most versatile machine I have ever operated. The money we saved in 3 years of snow plowing almost paid for this machine. 2 pickups and drivers took 10 hours versus 4.5 hours with one tool cat. The best money we ever sent. We plow snow, broom snow, clean up down trees and debris. 4-wheel steering is the best thing going. We will never be without one in the future.

    I remember back in 2005-6 when this was just a prototype. Only one was made( before production) and was at one of the companies for a photo-op. One of the 2nd shift fork lift operators wanted to see what it could do and the keys back in the day fit all bobcats. Well, when it came back in the frame was twisted/racked and the CV joint was on the ground. As you can imagine they were pretty pissed off when they seen what happened. The fork lift operator was fired and the supervisor was demoted to dayshift fork lift operator. Other then that, don't know anything more. Memories, lol

    I think these are under rated... I really think they are super useful and versatile..... If I had a farm or large property I would def use one

  • @countrycaretakerpropertyse7981

    I liked their comfort changes that they made which is all nice and good but in terms of performance, they missed the ball. All previous owners asked for a bit more power and a bit more strength. I do like that they added the fenders for the back. Hopefully they changed the steel providers as those machines used to rot through in like a year or two. Very nice versatile machine though. We have the same blower on our S76 and love it. The aggressive auger is very nice.

    On your case drain line, the hose in the middle to power your blower, on the hose from the machine on the flat face coupler is the word flow with a arrow pointing to the blower on that coupler? I’m trying to figure out if someone put the wrong coupler on my blower. Any one else have this on theirs? Thanks.

    We also have this machine and would love to shut off the back up beeper. Was it difficult to do?

    • @BigBodyPresence
      @BigBodyPresence  Před rokem +1

      Yeah it was quite difficult to get at the connector for the back up beeper and then when we did it do it, it put up an error code on our screen which was annoying. Bobcat technician was over looking at something else and we told him about this and he was simply able to turn off the back up alarm via software which removed the error code.

    Should mention how the front fender driving lights suck. They are nice and bright, but sit down so low that any attachment on the front blocks them. I wish they were just mounted up by the work lights.

    • @BigBodyPresence
      @BigBodyPresence  Před rokem

      Im just speculating but I imagine driving headlights probably can't be up that high or else they will blind other drivers on the road when your driving on a public road. Probably illegal to drive on a public road with the work lights on too. The lights work but you just have to remember to just lift the implement up high enough so its just off the ground

    good video. why did you choose the UW56 model over the UW53? I know the UW56 has a hydraulic dump box but what's it good for? I haven't seen any videos of it being used beyond carrying some shovels. Seems not very useful to me, I'd probably go with the UW53.

      With all the options I wanted (no attachments) the MSRP was $84,000.
      I ordered, and paid for what the Toolcat 5610 was quoted to me at. $76,000 (less my trade in).
      About a month after I ordered the 5610... before it was built- Bobcat retooled and released the UW series and that technically superceded the Toolcat.

    • @BigBodyPresence
      @BigBodyPresence  Před rokem

      Never owned a skid steer before but I can tell you the toolcat will be more comfortable getting in and out of. Toolcat is probably easier for maintenance because you can see the entire engine bay when lifting the box up. If you ever need to take a passenger obviously you can only do that in the toolcat. Sometimes I just run up to the corner store in the toolcat cause it’s just like driving a car. I imagine skid steer will be more maneuverable in tight areas and would be more construction site focused. Both have there advantages and disadvantages. You can use the same implements on both machines.
