As a fellow watch collector i love these olevs watches it is what it is pete a novelty watch different for sure cheers for this quirky watch review.
C’est vrai mais on s’en fou de la marque tant qu’elle et automatique c’est les plus important et surtout quel tourne encore que celle de Patek Philippe car j’en ai vu une comme ça à Quartz alors que celle ci et entièrement automatique et de qualité je trouve,

beautiful watch its like a planisphere you hold watch above head with 12 o'clock facing north then it shows stars visible not sure if its a acuret star map waiting for watch to be delivered . several years back I got a similar watch from Russia which was a fake version of the Patek Philippe 6102R with automatic movement but the Moon phase was just a 24 hour sun moon during the day the moon appeared to change phase and then at six pm the stars appeared ! unfortunately the crystal fell off and local watch guy reused to repair it ! So have now replaced it with the Olevs which seems to be an improvement ! .

I was thinking about getting one of these but it doesn't seem worth the prices I've seen. Seems they could have tried a little harder to make it more appealing to astronomy buffs and not just random stars and moon phases.
The NSEW is correct if you hold the watch over your head to map the sky. They are trying to mimic a "star wheel" or planisphere but I don't think the star map in the background is quite right. And with a planisphere you set the map according to the day of the year, this thing does a year every month. If there was an real map on there I guess you could work out what day of the month corresponds roughly to the current day of the year.

Thank you for a good review of an unusual watch. It is a watch i could buy got my collection as a dresswatch. I prefer toolwatches they are a bit mord fun. I you hold The watch up to sky and look up on it then it get north and South right. I look like a homage to a Patek Philippe 6102R Celestial. Even how they place north and South. Just a question how long is The power reserv on The movement?

The cardinal directions are to indicate what part of the sky is visible at that time of the month at a certain latitude. Of course, since this is such a sloppy copy of the PP Celestial, that won't work here. Even if it did, looks like they didn't get the starfield correct.
I looked to see what it was trying to homage and guess I never bothered looking at Patek. That would explain it. Thanks.
The way the stars spin with such a jumpy/studded movement is very distracting.
They should make a sky moon 5002p!

Sorry, I am self funded so I have to sell most of my watches so I can buy more, but that makes it impossible for me to do long term reports.
Also, In my review I recommended it as a fun watch to add to a collection, but not as an everyday watch to tell the time.
