Jeep JK Won't Shift Into Gear Repair

This 2010 Jeep Wrangler had a broken shifter linkage bushing preventing it from shifting. it was fixed with a bushing from Amazon.com

Thanks for the very helpful video. One step to I did to gain access to the cable was removing the 2 bolts that hold that cable bracket to frame. With shifter in Park, the cable dropped down for easy access to insert the bushing thus not having to drop the front drive shaft

If you take the seats and carpet out and the rest of the interior you could make the repair from the top of the transmission. That’s how we do it at the Beefy John Deere shop.

😅 don't forget to remove the ECM and all electrical items and put in a bucket of water
