Soban is one of the most acclaimed Korean restaurants in Los Angeles. It has been on LA Times 101 list for multiple years, been visited by Korean celebrities such as the cast of Parasite, and was even visited by Mark Wiens for his food channel during his Korean food tour in Los Angeles.
This restaurant is known for their raw marinated crab called ganjang gejang, as well as the braised beef short ribs (galbi jimm), braised black cod (eun daegu jorim), and many other dishes. The restaurant also has a great selection of housemade side dishes (banchan), which makes this a great eating experience.

I prefer "yang nyeom geJang " Raw crab in spicy paste . Here in Korea, most of people are crazy for marinated raw crab. But it costs very expensive !😓

I never got to Koreatown.... a major failing on my part. I have deep respect for the Koreans. Koreatown just has to be your destination. I guess I could chalk it up to this--- the trael book about LA titled "LA... all the places you'lll never get to".
