Carolina REALLY needs to retain Guentzel. They finally went all in, and gave up really good prospects to the Pens. Also Pesce and Skjei need to be retained also. They are a dynamic defensive pairing. Orlov will be off the books after next season, so long term it will work. If they have to move Necas, but can bring back the rest of the core, like Teravainan also, they can replace Necas in the lineup. Having Kuznetsov all season, would easily make up for that! Having Brind' Amour in the room, will keep Evgeny motivated.
3 1st round pick to move up from 12 to 4 is ridiculous. That’s career suicide for a GM if that pick doesn’t become a Superstar
If Askarov doesn't get much NHL exposure in the next 2 seasons (and rumors are, the Preds are looking for a veteran backup), then he'll want to be traded. Saros' 8 year contract, will eat into the majority of Askarov's 20's, which leads one to wonder why they drafted him, if they were going to keep Saros long term.
How come everyone ignores what Tanev wants? It's clearly Vancouver.
If he does, he needs to give them a big home town discount because they can't afford him.
I want to see these guys wrestle.
