In an episode of the Badie show that Sadie and Bethany do on dwts channel, Bethany says that Derek will randomly grab the seam of her shirt and rub it between his fingers. So apparently he still does it!
It's kind of funky throughout the whole thing. He was born in America, moved to England, and his parents are American and British. So I guess that confused his accent a bit--lots of people who move back and forth between the two places have strange accents.
