All my kids said their schools lunches were terrible, pizza, nuggets etc, all processed foods. Even my lunches weren't that great and I went to school in the 70's and 80's.
My American school barely gives us anything on our trays and most of the time it tastes horrible. People just throw their lunch away and buy snacks everyday.
American school food does NOT look like that.( I wish) American SCHOOL food is nasty bland stale and does not give you that much on a plate. With my experience they also don't give u bottles of water fried chicken or muffins. This vid is a joke.
I remembered that in school this old mean teacher make us do a math fair and when it was lunch time she pulled all the people (including me) out of lunch. The sad part is that we had to do it. Plus I think its illegal for kids to be pulled out of lunch.
We served fried chicken occasionally, it was frozen and we just baked it awhile. Not too bad. We did sloppy joes too, which was ground beef straight from the government commodity program with Manwich brand sauce straight out of #10 cans from Sysco. They were pretty good too, but after the new initiative most of that stuff disappeared.
chris K yes, but I live in America. While I care about other countries and those who inhabit them I'm gonna comment on what I know. But now you got it in my mind and I want to research the Philippines.
I'm singaporean and I call that "school lunch" school food Last time the food tasted better but since they wanted us students to eat healthier food they added more vegetable and the stuff was very standard Also we usually have our recess or eating time in the morning so it's more like breakfast but whatever food you wanna eat u go to dat stall and buy your food
i go to an international school in hong kong and we have various dishes from around the world like caesar salads, teriyaki chicken, soba, salad wraps, curry, etc
welcome to the American lunch program, were everything is prepacked and manufactured! that looks like it was taken out of the crapper and tastes like wood shavings!
Looks like the American school lunches haven't changed much in 35 years. Absolutely appalling rubbish. Hard to believe they can still get away with serving garbage like that. The Asian and European dishes looked great.
Poor kids from Kenya seems to eat healthier than US kids. Sorry about that. In France we are very lucky to have so good cafeterias in school. I never realised that before. Many french kids barely eat and trash everything away. Sometimes girls thinks not eating will help them to remain thin. Or they are just picky with the taste of dish they are not used to eat at home. But french cafeterias try to make kids discover the variety of french cooking and learn them to have a balanced feeding instead of just eating trash food like pizzas and burgers. And kids don't realise how lucky they are compared to americans or other coutries with food problems. Sorry if it seems like I'm braging about french food. France is a good country but far from beeing perfect, so we can delight what is good here. ^^
+Guigui Oh my you have to tell where you live in france cuz girls acting like that aren't common at all. I agree with you thx to our nutritionist to elaborate our food. Of course sometimes we got fries burger or pizza, but most of the times it's mixed with vegetables and fruit and just 1/week
In singapore there is no such thing as a school lunch okay?Instead we have a canteen which has different stalls selling different food(it all depends on what the store owners are selling). So during break or what singapore students call recess we gotta bring our own money and buy our food from the canteen.Basically saying that during recess eating is not compulsary.Students can chose to study in class, play or do anything else.Schools in singapore do not care if u have a balanced meal in school so basically nobody cares if u do not eat friuts or vegetables. So do not be fool because in singapore, there is NO such thing called school lunch
Lee Jolly Waaaay back when I was in elementary school lunch was 45¢. They served homemade hot lunches like meatloaf, chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, homemade rolls and bread, real mashed potatoes etc. Nothing was ever prepackaged or frozen....Those were the days.😀
We have varied lunches in the UK. It can be anything from curry,to a pasta dish, fish and homemade chips to a traditional roast, usually followed by a dessert such as cake and custard, cheese and crackers or even just fruit and yoghurt. Those oriental lunches looked so good.
ויאמר סבבה! sorry you having to deal with that. so wishibg us all future of: healthy affordable food for all, plenty healthy tasty free foods for children, good jobs, freedom, mass-transit subwsys trains etc, fairness, safety, independence, dignity, learning, accomplishments, friendships, DELICIOUS HEALTHY FOOD
In our country (Philippines) when I was in Elementary we dont have school lunches, only canteen that serves soups and other snacks. When I was in Highscool we have cafeteria that serves Pancit, macaroni spaghetti, soup, waffles... But when you reached College it is only time when lunches came in. #ProudPinoy
I brought my own lunch to school as it was the heathier option. A lot of those asian lunches looked really good, though. And italian. Anything with vegetables added is a good lunch option.
Here in Spain(at least in my school) everyday we got like different things ( for example ,soup ,then fish or meat ,veggies , rice ,some other plates etc some weeks special foods and that) with bread, and then we normally get a fruit (and in some special occasions other desserts like some jelly or ice cream or something) All the food were written down on a paper they gave us every month ,the menu was made specifically so it was healthy . The only thing is that you had to pay for the school lunch ,but it was cheap.
The pictures of the American food... Those must be the best school lunches in the country because everyone I know (including me) thinks school lunch is the most disgusting "food" in the world.
blaknoizee Really? Can you speak for all schools in the United States? Or just the one you've attended. STFU. I've been to many different schools in different state none of them were like some of those. So I can speak from experience. Plus that lunch is outside current guidelines.
Melissa Gomez I've been to 3 high schools and 3 middle schools. Also, it is a govt mandate on what is served. Go to a middle or highschool and ask for a lunch. Be disappointed.
Melissa Gomez since I expect you to ask for unnecessary detail. My middle schools were 2 in KY; Summit View Middle school and Twenholf (if in spelling it right) and Cincinnati's James and Gamble Middle School. High schools were Portsmouth High and Redan High in Atlanta, GA then returning to the revamped highschool of Portsmouth High later on.
My schools food is like japan and I live in the u.s everyone brings there own creative homemade food that our parents take hours making!!! It's pretty nice!
I'm not sure if you're gonna like it... Czech children usually don't. The school lunch often smells funny and tastes boring... But it's really cheap. Trust me, I'm from Czech Republic.
Shockingly accurate depiction of lunches where I went to school in the US, cannot speak to the other countries however most of them appeared to have far better portions of healthier foods. We did use plastic trays in my school most of the time, but all the styrofoam and plastic utensils would end up thrown away, occasionally a tray as well. People mostly ate like shit, or brought their own lunches which were rarely healthier, albeit more appealing to the eye... sometimes. What really gets me is nowadays kids are becoming more restricted in what they can bring for lunches due to other children's food allergies. My cousins, for example, were not allowed to eat their lunches and instead forced to buy school lunches due to some child's peanut allergy. We never had this issue when I was in school, we just wouldn't pass around snacks containing peanuts, kids survived. This is what their epi-pens are for. That shit really bugs me. I hate the idea of catering to the minority like that in such an extreme way. It is one thing to be careful, but when they get older and go out not everyone is going to hide away their foods that could cause an allergic reaction, the world doesn't bend to your whim. Fucking public education man. Also very sad seeing some of the African and other country's meals, small and one dimensional.
I freaking live in California in Fresno and the school lunch are disgusting I hate it! Like they give stale pizza stale hotdogs in a plastic and they give us small carton milks and little tiny juice in a carton and they rarely give us like derserts and if if so it has to be raisin cookies American. School.lunch.are.DISGUSTING
+Samantha Reyes Ewww, raisin cookies? Monsters. They didn't even give us that in school but I sure can survive without raisin cookie. We did get a tiny plastic cup with about 5 grapes in it. Was the best part of lunch and grapes didnt even taste like anything. Pizza was gross, though. It was like eating cold cardboard.
im from Brasil i literally was drooling at the school lunches because usually beans and rice its usually for smaller kids like 4-7 and older ones get traditional pastries like Cochinha and Pastel which is still preety good XD
in Philippines, school lunches here have many hot and home cook meals. it's not just in the picture of pork with gravy. we have different meals other than that. but it's custom here that you bring lunch and if you don't want, you can always buy in canteen
I go to an upscale ivy school, the chefs carefully prepare all the flown in fish and hand picked beef to order. You low class pigs eat out of the trough.
I live in Canada and we get good burritos, burgers, poutine(of course) Chips slushies awesome pizza water Gatorade fries and gravy YASS Italian pasta and our vending machines are like 90% candy and the rest are chips and soda, love my school and if you don't have money sometimes it's free
I would've seriously considered using a comma in your sentence because for a second I thought your school would give you slushies using potato chips and water that is infused with pizza, lol.
+Guigui I'm sure she is aware of the fact nothing is free and we in Finland do know that our whole education system, including the school lunches, is funded by tax money. The point was that the kids don't have to pay for it themselves. This way even the poorer kids who may not be able to pay for the lunch every day get to eat.
In France we have starter main dish, cheese/yoghurt and desert. Nutritionist works to have balanced food so kids will never have too much fat for lunch,
I don't know that much about hallal but did you see the info about slaughterhouse in France? The pb isn't hallal or regular process, it's how we consume meat and how we treat animal. They have bad treatment no matter the ritual use. The fact it's muslim we don't care we are a country who try to praise everyone religion.
***** How many black ppl were killed cuz they weren't concider as human? What are you trying to point except bulshit? There is pork in France, just ppl don't have to be forced to eat it it's normal. Muslim never get more privilege than native and it's not how we have to consider ppl. Not about who is nativ or we are all french as long as we have french nationality. The privilege aren't for muslim or jew or something like that. Enjoy marine lepen bullshit i'm done with you
Thank you mom and dad for making my lunch everyday. and when I did have money for school lunches, mcdonalds was close. (and they delivered to us in elementary) But highschool was a shitstorm of rubber burgers
Uh, the UK dinners look nothing like that. The only nice things in my school are the cookies, doughnuts & popcorn chicken (little pieces of breadcrumb chicken in styrofoam cup)
Most kids in the Netherlands and Belgium eat at home for lunch or some eat at school, but they bring there own lunch. When they go to highschool they also bring there own lunch. Here we eat for lunch justed sandwitches and some fruit and for dinner we have a hot meal.
I'm in America and I go to a pretty good school, at lunch there's a salad bar with so many different kinds of dressing and things like chicken or onions that you can put in it, freshly cooked chicken burgers, hand-cut french fries, I think I have it pretty okay for what I have at the school I'm at now. But I really would be amazed if we had school lunches like Japan or France, that would be so cool
+Tessa Zimmer Ik Japan's looked so good to me :D And my school food is so horrible.. I live in the U.S as well. It's not as bad as these photos but it still isn't very nice. Maybe I just need to go to your school haha XD
Holy shit your school is amazing. Mine is walk by and pick up a tray with luke-warm shitty food. One of days is hard brown rice and thats it- like nothing else just the rice and you can pick up milk or crappy choco milk. Fridays they usually just hand out pick up sticks are often luke-warm to cold. just know your school is bomb as F***
Actually Japanese school lunches don't look like that. Usually Japanese school lunches have Miso soup, rice, some kind of side dish (vegetable or fruit), and a big main dish (fish or meat). its really good but the teachers are so strict you have to eat every single bit.
i'm from the philippines, this is exactly how they serve our lunch in our canteen. same plate too 😂 we have to buy using tockens, we buy our beverages/desserts/snacks too, sometimes we don't eat lunch and have junk foods instead
***** No they really don't, I was always hungry and jittery by the end of the day and I'm only a 5'1 small girl, imagine what it's like for the bigger kids, plus they serve the same amount to 5 year olds in kindergarten, as they due to 14-18 year old high schooler. And every year they serve less.
I live in England, in my cafeteria there are 3 sections. The first section is pasta, it comes in a large styrofoam cup and you can choose sauce and meatballs and everything. The second section is the cold section where you can buy amazing pre-packaged wraps and sandwhiches or get a tub for the salad bar. These are well maintained and kept to good standards. Then there's hot foods, normally baked potatoes, curry, Shepard's pie, quiche, baguettes, pasta/lasagne, mashed potatoes, warmed/steamed vegetables, noodles, rice, meats and everything warm. They are mainly healthy but it's £1 (or around €2 for others) to get a plate of chips on a Friday. They are only sold on Fridays and have low salt. I feel bad for American lunch boxes, seems dull and really processed.
In the Middles Schools around my area (like mine) the typical lunch is a burger (cheese, ham, and chicken are the options), fries, apples, and a choice of either oranges or a banana. The drinks you can get are milk, water, or an envy (energy drink)
American school lunches are either greasy and fatty, overly processed pr have no nutritional benefits or they aren't what they say they are (meat, Mash potato. Chicken nugget etc.) but meanwhile other countries who have less resources then us have better food like what
The poorer countries don't have a choice, and the kids are smiling because they know the truth, The us doesn't give a crap and serves crap, and all of us students don't even know a crap about this
Fun fact: In singapore we don't get standard school lunches, most schools have a canteen with various stalls selling different dishes/cuisines(eg. Japanese, western, noodles, mixed rice), and within each stall there are various choices as well
My schools food is so nice it's basically like going to mc Donald's or to a cafe but I bring my own lunch because you have to wait 30 mins to get your food and lunch break is 40 mins long
At least in this sample, you can see the difference between a rather mediocre canteen (the second one, served in plastic ustensiles, looks like the typical bad school restaurant), to an excellent one (the last one). I don't think the last one is very representative, though. The chinese one, with a whole cooked fish, looked rather good to me. But children don't like whole fishes because of the bones. The korean meals looked great to me. American children get terrible meals, I have to say.
En quoi c'est raciste lol. Si t'es dans une école française, les frites sont sevi min 1 fois par mois.... Et pq tu utilises tabernac (j'ai le gros pressentiment que t'es québécois, pas français).
American school lunches are disgusting and devoid of nutrition. They are meant to be cheap, not wholesome. I think that's because we are not a very poverty stricken country. Kids are supposed to get better nutrition at home. It's just meant to tide them over. It's sad because some kids are really poor and school food is sometimes all they get. I wish our lunches were more like Korea or Japan. plentiful and highly nutritious.
When I complained to a teacher about the school lunch, he just told me I didn't like healthy food. I argued back by saying I liked healthy food, But I don't like cheap food which is what they serve.
when you live in a small town in the U.S, there typically aren't a lot of options. they don't put enough vegetables in the salad bar, (you don't get any unless you are one of the fist 10 or 15 people) the lettuce is often on the verge of rotten, there are two sides for food and one tends to be something that has made kids sick before and the other slightly better, from time to time all the milk expires (just two years ago we got the option for a water bottle.) Its just bad.
1:26 For UK, that is one meal out of the other probably 3 options. Most people in my school have hot main meals and that is not it, it normally has rice, big ass wraps, Shepard's pie and lasagna. No one takes the jacket potato option unless they are probably last in the lunch line and all the food is gone.
There is no school lunch here in Norway :( The ones from south Korea and Taiwan look so delicious, I wonder how long it takes to prepare those small dishes and what they are. c:
Actually in Singapore. (I live here) we can choose what we want to eat in sch. There is different stalls to choose and we just have to queue and buy our own food(yes,we buy. It's not free) but I love the food in our schs cause there are so many different cuisines like my sch has Korean,Japanese,Chinese,Local food, and Malay cuisine and there's a drink and snacks stall too:) so u can just buy any snacks if ur feeling hungry like cupcakes, pizza, pau(type of a bread with fillings in it),egg tart and many more! And the drink stalls sells potato chips and some good stuff👏🏻🙌🏻what I mostly eat Korean or Japanese food and some lychee drink(Pink Dolphin) anyone heard of it before? and i just realise how lucky we are💓
At first the High School I went to followed what the first lady said we should go by. couple years later we went back to what was normal. a lot of the students actually didnt get enough to eat.
Here in New York City our school lunch is awesome. Sometimes like once a week we have some Tender Burgers and fries, on Fridays we get pizza too. Some times we get Italian meals like some fresh ravioli or some fresh Italian spaghetti. We have a huge salad and fruit bar too, we get fruit and salad as side meals. Such as fresh oranges, red juicy apples, green sour apples and yellow bananas. For drinks we get some fresh Apple juice, orange juice, or fruit punch. We can also choose water. For breakfast we have fresh pancakes or some waffles with butter. Our drinks are Milk, Orange Juics, or Orange juice. As side meals we also get cake or bread at breakfast. I'm so lucky I live in New York
At my school our lunch is leftover pizza and rotting corn. But they do that because we have a snack bar with chips and good stuff buy we have to pay for them
the school in the philippines doesn't serve lunches, we have canteen where we can buy then from or outside the school there are cafeterias , sometimes we have our own lunchbox from home or we just go home to eat our lunch.
I'm from Brazil and in my school, or any other school I've been before, we don't have that lunch. that's the kinda thing we all eat at home, but not at school.
when i was still in school there was no such thing as school lunches. we just had to bring our own food and the school didn't really care what/if everyone was eating
there is no school lunch in the Philippines. we have cafeterias/canteen where we get to choose what we eat for lunch. the school canteen cooks, yes, but they have a variety of food to choose from and sometimes, we can even choose to buy from fastfood stalls.
In my school (USA) we have pizza, chicken noodle soup, grilled chesse, tomato soup, hamburgers, french fries, rice, subs, chicken breast, or chicken nuggets for the main item, a vegetable such as corn or carrots, and a fruit. It's not the most yummy meal in the world, but it doesn't taste bad.
I bring my lunch to school because it's too nasty.
-US
Kodie Sarkodie no school food is good at my school don't speak for everyone
❄Solar_Blossoms❄
I was just speaking for myself
Kodie Sarkodie how were u speaking for yourself by saying "US"
❄Solar_Blossoms❄
I was just stating where I was from, I was talking about my school, not all US schools.
+Kodie Sarkodie Thats what I thought, it seemed like you said you were from US lol Idk why someone might not get it.
I feel bad for USA school kids 😭
It's not that bad atleast where I live but trust me we don't eat that
oh its bad, the only thing you can really eat that doesn't taste like cardboard is junk food
yes it fucking sucks, i found a gosh dang maggot in one of my usa school lunches
fucking shit is disgusting.
me to
My high school gives us 1 piece of nasty pizza or 5 chicken nuggets. Do they think 5 friggen chicken nuggets is going to fill up 14-18 year olds?
KiwiStuff the chicken nuggets are gross, but its not that. its the quantity
Take food with you from home.
They have such great lunches, WTF IS THE STUFF THEY SERVE US?
Whoosh Blaugh death
Ikr my little brother gets the same amount as a high schooler. I'm 12 and I could eat 10 nuggets from McDonald's much less 5 when I'm in 11th grade
Chinese lunch looks good. Yummy.
And wow, they serve artichoke for lunch and France. Impressive.
All my kids said their schools lunches were terrible, pizza, nuggets etc, all processed foods. Even my lunches weren't that great and I went to school in the 70's and 80's.
Artichokes are gross I would only eat the orange, bread, yogurt and French fries 🍟 but no pie artichoke or clams
the french one is a joke guys, impossible to find artichoke like that 😂😂
I'm french and I had artichoke and mussels at school but it's a bit rare espacially the artichoke.
My American school barely gives us anything on our trays and most of the time it tastes horrible. People just throw their lunch away and buy snacks everyday.
Anuradha Veerabadran i love my food
New●Jersey Good for you :D
+Anuradha Veerabadran ikr
We get nothing on our trays... In Norway we usually eat a loaf of bread with cheese or ham, and we have to bring it from home
And that is why childhood obesity is a big thing. Kids just go to a nearby deli buy chips or something and eat
the portion size for the poorer countries are heartbreaking
Ahmed H yes😢💔😥
i think it’s the west that are used to big portion sizes.
American school food does NOT look like that.( I wish)
American SCHOOL food is nasty bland stale and does not give you that much on a plate.
With my experience they also don't give u bottles of water fried chicken or muffins.
This vid is a joke.
It is not a joke
That's exactly how my school lunch looks like.
eric j My school doesn't even get sloppy joes. That's elementary school where I live.
I remembered that in school this old mean teacher make us do a math fair and when it was lunch time she pulled all the people (including me) out of lunch. The sad part is that we had to do it. Plus I think its illegal for kids to be pulled out of lunch.

All the asian ones were awesome. Only in Asia could you get a whole fish intact served to kids! France was great too.
Finally a video that accurately depicts American school lunch
Nightwing hey American lunch wasn't bad compare at Philippines and few other countries
chris K yes, but I live in America. While I care about other countries and those who inhabit them I'm gonna comment on what I know. But now you got it in my mind and I want to research the Philippines.
school food in the us is garbage, absolute garbage!!!!! especially at the elementary level
Yes it is especially pizza
i think its litteraly garbage, not even joking
Ditto
Ikr! And there "turkey" and rice is not real meat. Can't be 😕
I hate school food
I'm singaporean and I call that "school lunch" school food
Last time the food tasted better but since they wanted us students to eat healthier food they added more vegetable and the stuff was very standard
Also we usually have our recess or eating time in the morning so it's more like breakfast but whatever food you wanna eat u go to dat stall and buy your food
That second picture of American food is ridiculous
Who do I have to bribe to get some salt and pepper?
That food they showed from USA looks amazing compared to what most lunches here in the USA actually look like.
Wow, and I thought our food was crap.
i go to an international school in hong kong and we have various dishes from around the world like caesar salads, teriyaki chicken, soba, salad wraps, curry, etc
welcome to the American lunch program, were everything is prepacked and manufactured! that looks like it was taken out of the crapper and tastes like wood shavings!
Charles Gremory 😢💔😥
In The Netherlands you don't even get lunch at school. You will always have to bring your own food and drinks.
Amelys i am sorry to/for you and the hungry kids!😢💔😥😢
Looks like the American school lunches haven't changed much in 35 years. Absolutely appalling rubbish. Hard to believe they can still get away with serving garbage like that. The Asian and European dishes looked great.
Lol the irony of your last name is McDonald
+Anna Rose there is no irony smart aleck

same in the Philippines
same in my school in nz
Same Iraq
Same here in my school in Phillippines
Tsubaki Lee wow thank you for sharing real story in singapore
Looking at all the delicious lunches from around the world leaves me totally disappointed with how our American lunches consist of tasteless crap.
Cheap tasteless food that isn't made freshly and ovened and microwaved. I hated American school lunch, I ate them because I was hungry only lol.
+Lee Jolly I know I want to try those lunch plate from Korea, looks fresh and hot.
+Donna Gilhousen Wow, lucky you and you're ancient. 😆
+Lee Jolly I'm not that old. I can still keep up with my teenage girls. For now anyways.😀😴😜
singapore doesnt have lunches. we have a canteen and different stalls so we buy whatever we would like to eat. they dont serve lunches fyi.
same in indonesia
But how much of that is burgers and pizza ?
Yeah we have that too, but we still call it "serving lunch". To serve doesn't mean to give away, so the video is accurate.
i would like japanese and chinese school lunches
Idisagree with u but do u know what I shoul try that luch!!???
DNinjafly me too
We have varied lunches in the UK. It can be anything from curry,to a pasta dish, fish and homemade chips to a traditional roast, usually followed by a dessert such as cake and custard, cheese and crackers or even just fruit and yoghurt. Those oriental lunches looked so good.
Damn..Asians know how to feed their children.
Us school lunch is nothing but burnt fries and half done pizza. These other lunches look better. :/
My school lunch is HORRIBLE. A lot of the students get sick from that crap.(I live in Connecticut)
We have no school lunch... lol
Lunch in USA my opinion: I just bring lunch from home
Most of these look really great.
In Israel we just take our own sandwiches to school, and that's it.
We never grew the "cafeteria" concept here.
Yup. Almost every school in Israel.

In our country (Philippines) when I was in Elementary we dont have school lunches, only canteen that serves soups and other snacks. When I was in Highscool we have cafeteria that serves Pancit, macaroni spaghetti, soup, waffles... But when you reached College it is only time when lunches came in. #ProudPinoy
*The lunch shown in the vid is "not" a school lunch, it was just an ordinary lunch for a whole fam.
Dam I wish my country gave out school lunches like some of these mentioned
I brought my own lunch to school as it was the heathier option.
A lot of those asian lunches looked really good, though. And italian.
Anything with vegetables added is a good lunch option.
Screw it I'm moving somewhere else I don't want some crappy school lunch in America
in vietnam, we eat lunch at at home. and go back to school at 1h30
ruby Trần i am sorry
Here in Spain(at least in my school) everyday we got like different things ( for example ,soup ,then fish or meat ,veggies , rice ,some other plates etc some weeks special foods and that) with bread, and then we normally get a fruit (and in some special occasions other desserts like some jelly or ice cream or something) All the food were written down on a paper they gave us every month ,the menu was made specifically so it was healthy . The only thing is that you had to pay for the school lunch ,but it was cheap.
The Chinese, Japanese and Korean meals look nice - and the 3rd picture for France :)
The pictures of the American food... Those must be the best school lunches in the country because everyone I know (including me) thinks school lunch is the most disgusting "food" in the world.
trust me our food in the usa dont feed us much so....
The USA lunch food is not current at all.
Those lunches looked exactly like my old school, and I live in the U.S.
Yes it is
blaknoizee Really?
Czech Republic food seems great, I'd love to try it
I'm not sure if you're gonna like it...
+LUVAKAT EXACTLY
Samantha Reyes At least you got some nasty hotdogs, we always got nasty pizza, EVERY day. Who eats same thing every day?
+LUVAKAT I know I hate it
+Samantha Reyes Reasons why Never vote DEMOCRAT!!!!
im from Brasil i literally was drooling at the school lunches because usually beans and rice its usually for smaller kids like 4-7 and older ones get traditional pastries like Cochinha and Pastel which is still preety good XD
cochinha and pastel are amazing l0l
in Philippines, school lunches here have many hot and home cook meals. it's not just in the picture of pork with gravy. we have different meals other than that. but it's custom here that you bring lunch and if you don't want, you can always buy in canteen
I go to an upscale ivy school, the chefs carefully prepare all the flown in fish and hand picked beef to order. You low class pigs eat out of the trough.
TROLL ALERT!
LOL THIS TROLL IS TRYING TO ACT LIKE ITS RICH
Whats the name of this school you go too? Oh right IT DOESN'T EXIST
You're only rich cause your online... You look ratchet as f on your profile. 😂😂😂
I live in Canada and we get good burritos, burgers, poutine(of course)
Chips slushies awesome pizza water Gatorade fries and gravy YASS Italian pasta and our vending machines are like 90% candy and the rest are chips and soda, love my school and if you don't have money sometimes it's free
And we can could out of school grounds to go the pizza place that sells one slice of pizza for 50. Cents and were right beside 7/11
Schools in Vancouver are amazing!
Ikr
I would've seriously considered using a comma in your sentence because for a second I thought your school would give you slushies using potato chips and water that is infused with pizza, lol.
anna Matik Please tell you don't think burritos and chips are Mexican food, please.
When I was in Elementary School, in Japan, I had a bowl of rice at every meal, vegetables, and meat. I ate, using my chop stix. The food was FABULOUS.
Those kids in Dijibouti are very grateful that they even get food!
USA do you call that food? Finland has very similar lunch as Estonia and Sweden. Also our lunch at schools is free :)
***** I'm sorry but how are muffins and tacos and fries any good food
we in the us do have free food too
Nothing's free. Your taxes go the governement who pays school food and other services.
Nutritionist works to have balanced food so kids will never have too much fat for lunch,
***** Not a school, but we have hallal and casher shop what is wrong with that?
Enjoy marine lepen bullshit i'm done with you
sailorecume we FRENCH are the best at cuisine duh
nero11 where do you come from, just wondering.
My school lol lunch was just a halfway frozen microwaved burrito with warm water in a bag with they called "5 star"
Mine did to, but with "soy protein" instead of meat. :P
Thank you mom and dad for making my lunch everyday.
and when I did have money for school lunches, mcdonalds was close. (and they delivered to us in elementary)
But highschool was a shitstorm of rubber burgers
I want the french one
Uh, the UK dinners look nothing like that. The only nice things in my school are the cookies, doughnuts & popcorn chicken (little pieces of breadcrumb chicken in styrofoam cup)
Most kids in the Netherlands and Belgium eat at home for lunch or some eat at school, but they bring there own lunch. When they go to highschool they also bring there own lunch. Here we eat for lunch justed sandwitches and some fruit and for dinner we have a hot meal.
I'm in America and I go to a pretty good school,
at lunch there's a salad bar with so many different kinds of dressing and things like chicken or onions that you can put in it, freshly cooked chicken burgers, hand-cut french fries, I think I have it pretty okay for what I have at the school I'm at now.
Im curious what school you go to and what state
Holy shit your school is amazing.
Tessaaa best to you
This is why I will pack my children's lunches and not let them buy. American School Lunches are disgusting.
The worst is from the US :(
i'm from the philippines, this is exactly how they serve our lunch in our canteen. same plate too 😂 we have to buy using tockens, we buy our beverages/desserts/snacks too, sometimes we don't eat lunch and have junk foods instead
They looks so neat
Guys, this is all not really good examples of lunches in different countries. He just got these off of Google Images xD
Annie Love what do they really eat?
in america luch is shity espically where i live in beverly hills i bring my own lunch
Melissa Gomez Thats only your school. My school gives us these large portions that fills the whole plate, almost everybody cant finish the whole meal.
yu weng Every school I've been to, and it's been quite few, in Florida and Ohio has been like that, your school is the exception not the rule.
Melissa Gomez Yea I live in New York Brooklyn
your lunch is shitty you shitty shitty head with the most shittiest of the shit shit.
Chicken nugget etc.) but meanwhile other countries who have less resources then us have better food like what
The poorer countries don't have a choice, and the kids are smiling because they know the truth,
The us doesn't give a crap and serves crap, and all of us students don't even know a crap about this
LOL WHAT SINGAPORE?!? I LIVE IN SINGAPORE AND WE BUY OUR FOOD SEPARATELY INSTEAD OF BEING PROVIDED NASI LEMAK
Kirigaya Kazuto I live in Singapore too
In Slovakia I remember having a soup on a bowl, and than some rice meat and salad. also served with tea.
In Finland we have amazing School lunches!, I love it! 😃
High five neighbour! ~from Sweden
luminoustarisma We will win in Hockey i bet 😂
France was the best
Usa is so unhelthy tacos and cupcakes everyday.
The USA school food is inaccurate on here, it's supposed to look like shit, and it tastes like shit
Usa is no unhealthy, just because u saw a video that shows what some people eat ( Which is not true) dosent mean that everyone eats the same thing
Sassygamergal yeah, but we still get shit food compared to almost everywhere else on this list...
Paul Miner have you seen africa stop complaining
Paul Miner yea
at my school our lunches are absolutely AWESOME
lucky
I get a bowl of crap with a side of mix veggies
Do you go to a private school?
Here we eat that guy who we will catch.
Fun fact: In singapore we don't get standard school lunches, most schools have a canteen with various stalls selling different dishes/cuisines(eg. Japanese, western, noodles, mixed rice), and within each stall there are various choices as well
Why does every video like this forget about the Netherlands?
We are one of the exceptional countries that don't have a warm meal during lunch.
Ja was dat maar zo
Yenna ♥ joints and marihuana muffins dont count as a lunch
samuraifrot Did you really have to? We actually have bread for lunch.
samuraifrot awh thats sucks lmao
I hate people that forget about the netherlands
Wtf was that pine cone looking thing on the French lunch?
Jargas101 Artichoke
+Jargas101 lmao
+Jargas101 lol are you serious?
It's an artichoke
Witch I'm highly allergic to
I miss school lunches :'( 😭
in australia we have foods like sandwhiches, sausage rolls, pies, chips though not served like any of these are.
France and Italy beat em' all :)
***** It can't be worst than the lunch at my school... that's impossible O__O
school lunch in italy is so not like that!!!
thisis michela what is it really like?
I actually enjoy school lunches in my school, they taste nice :)
My schools food is so nice it's basically like going to mc Donald's or to a cafe but I bring my own lunch because you have to wait 30 mins to get your food and lunch break is 40 mins long
hey I'm French and I don't eat fries all the time c'est raciste tabarnac lol 😁😁😁😁😁😆😆😆😆
Oùi
At least in this sample, you can see the difference between a rather mediocre canteen (the second one, served in plastic ustensiles, looks like the typical bad school restaurant), to an excellent one (the last one). I don't think the last one is very representative, though.
The chinese one, with a whole cooked fish, looked rather good to me. But children don't like whole fishes because of the bones.
The korean meals looked great to me.
American children get terrible meals, I have to say.
Dominique Pilon mdr pourquoi tu commence ta phrase en anglais et tu la termine en français 😂😂
Dominique Pilon they never said if your French you eat fries all the time, stupid.
I argued back by saying I liked healthy food, But I don't like cheap food which is what they serve.
do you need to pay of food in america?
+no moi it depends on many factors one is school district and another if family income. For me, I had to either pay for my lunch or pack it.
im american and i love my school food
when you live in a small town in the U.S, there typically aren't a lot of options. they don't put enough vegetables in the salad bar, (you don't get any unless you are one of the fist 10 or 15 people) the lettuce is often on the verge of rotten, there are two sides for food and one tends to be something that has made kids sick before and the other slightly better, from time to time all the milk expires (just two years ago we got the option for a water bottle.) Its just bad.
1:26
For UK, that is one meal out of the other probably 3 options. Most people in my school have hot main meals and that is not it, it normally has rice, big ass wraps, Shepard's pie and lasagna. No one takes the jacket potato option unless they are probably last in the lunch line and all the food is gone.
I live in Singapore and most schools have canteens where we choose from about 8(?) different stores to buy food and drinks or snacks
why does USA have disgusting lunches WHYYYYYTY U DO THIS TO US
+wolfie _the_salad Because America is run by CORPORATIONS who don't care about us.
You know that you can take food with you from home???
Jakop Flatekval ya but i dont have food at home im broke......
+wolfie _the_salad try dumbster diving! A lot of good food get thrown away. Behind supermarkeds late at night. Take a friend with you, and headlight.
+Jakop Flatekval :0 thats a good idea
US FOOD IS NUMMY :D
Not school food, ITS POISON
milking cows then why am I alive after 14 years of eating it?
Christian Herrera Witchcraft
milking cows Oh no... you've discovered me.
Christian Herrera 😆
I need to eat lunch like Korea, Japan and Taiwan. Those looked so tasty!!!
the uk one looks good !
Lol @ France: I would never have imagined serving a plate of fries, a grapefruit half, and a whole artichoke to a kid.
But they do that because we have a snack bar with chips and good stuff buy we have to pay for them
Oh we also have frozen milk.
Sounds bad :( here the food is free and payed by the New York City Department of education.
Whaaaat? What part of NYC? Cuz I live in NYC and all my life, the kids hated the school lunch. I'm currently in high school.
That sounds really unhealthy. In Denmark we get food like sweden or bring lunchbags.
We in Switzerland eat at home during school hours. In the morning, at noon and in the evening. In any case, the most Swiss.
the school in the philippines doesn't serve lunches, we have canteen where we can buy then from or outside the school there are cafeterias , sometimes we have our own lunchbox from home or we just go home to eat our lunch.
I'm from Brazil and in my school, or any other school I've been before, we don't have that lunch. that's the kinda thing we all eat at home, but not at school.
when i was still in school there was no such thing as school lunches. we just had to bring our own food and the school didn't really care what/if everyone was eating
I love when they have grilled cheese and chili or taco salad!
there is no school lunch in the Philippines. we have cafeterias/canteen where we get to choose what we eat for lunch. the school canteen cooks, yes, but they have a variety of food to choose from and sometimes, we can even choose to buy from fastfood stalls.
