Impressive lemon growing. My lemon plant has been grown from seed and in 12 months it is about 14 inches tall with 12 leaves. I have been feeding it orange water and onion water which is water boiled and cooled containing orange peels. Also the same process for onion water. The orange water is rich in natural citrus fertilizer which is quite expensive from shops. The onion water is supposed to be very good for the roots . I used potting mix mixed with sand, gravel, crushed egg shells/dry banana peel and garden soil and keep it by the window.

Never boil fruit or vegetable peels to make compost tea, this kills all the benifitial enzymes. just chop them fine and put into water for 10 days.

You’ve taken a load off my mind with your detailed video. I’m growing my lemon plants from seed and as you said, it’s taking quite a long while to grow. With your ideas, I’ll purchase kagzi nimbu plant which has some lemons growing on it . I’ve also noted down the fact that the plant needs cow manure, vermicompost, rock phosphates (for I am a vegetarian and don’t believe in adding eggs etc). I’ll also add sea weed manure. The problem I have is that not many butterflies or honeybees visit my garden. Can you suggest any manner in which I can encourage them? I’ll be checking your video and hope to get a positive response from you

Very cool. Reminds me of my old orange plant. I grew from a seed for many years. It grew to a height of 3 feet maybe. Grew well. Then every year the swallowtail butterflies would lay eggs on it and I became obsessed with helping the caterpillars to grow into beautiful common Mormons. :) So no leaves by the time they would go into cocoon stage. Later my cat peed in the pot and the plant slowly died. Not been able to replicate the success again. Maybe one day, I'll have 2 plants - one for fruit and the other for butterflies. 😁
Thanks for sharing your experience. Hope you enjoy mine. 🙏🏾

Soooo sad dear. Anyway, aap poonya kamaye by helping caterpillars to grow into beautiful Mormons. Don’t get disheartened dear “try try till you succeed” Your harden effort will not go waste instead your tree will be bloomed with seeet oranges. I have even grown tangerines from seeds n through the Grace of God growing well. Lemon n tangerines, both are grown in the pot from seeds since last year. Stay safe, God Bless...
