- Hard Rock Punta Cana is a huge resort located on Arena Gorda Beach; it opened in 2011 and was recently renovated (they're still doing some renovations, but it's almost complete). We've been wanting to stay at this Punta Cana resort since it opened its door, and we finally did!
In this video, we'll go through our experience at the Hard Rock Punta Cana, from the moment we set foot on the property until we checked out. We won't spare any details about this massive all-inclusive resort.

I was at the resort in August had a terrible experience. AC were not cooling throughout resort and rooms. The food was average and even tipping staff service was not great. Did not seem to motivate them. Room replenishment was not consistent. Toro restaurant was very hot. Not enough staff.
Ari and Jhon - our vacation is July 10th and we are currently reserved for Dreams Macao Beach. I have a small window of time left (until July 5th) where I can switch to either Lopesan or Hard Rock. Did you rank Dreams Macao as high as you ranked the others, or should I switch? We are a family of two adults and 4 kids. Thanks!
Hi, Amber 😀 Luck would have it we went to the Dreams Macao recently. We liked our stay there; it's a great resort in a great location. It's the only hotel on Macao beach, which also means you're out in the middle of nowhere if you're planning to go out of the resort keep that in mind.
We scored it #7 on our list while Lopesan and Hard Rock are tied for #1. If you find the same price for Lopesan or Hard Rock as what you're paying at Dreams Macao then it's definitely worth changing your reservation. The Dreams Macao is a solid hotel so don't feel scared that you chose a bad hotel. I would advise though to upgrade to their preferred rooms since there are two pools off limits to regular guests and you're left with only one pool which is a bummer.

Chicos muy completa la review.. en diciembre iré con mi esposa y mi hija, que me recomiendan para maximizar el tiempo de ingreso a los restaurants? Algún truco para no aburrirse en la espera?
Hola! Para poder encontrar lugares en los restaurantes a la carta recomendamos ir temprano (antes de las 7 que es la hora que la mayoría sale a cenar) y después de las 9 (cuando la mayoría termina de cenar). Si van a esas horas van a recibir su mesa casi inmediatamente, si cenan entre las 7 y las 9 entonces les tocará esperar un poco pero hay muchas cosas qué hacer mientras tanto, por ejemplo ir al Moon Lounge o al café, o simplemente pasear por el main hall que siempre tiene entretenimiento en la noche =) Espero les sea de utilidad la información! =)
No entendí porqué pusieron esas calificaciones al final si durante todo el video tuvieron reviews no tan buenos, ejemplo a los drinks le dieron un C+ y al final le ponen 5/5 eso no concuerda, hablan de que la comida no fue tan buena en el buffet y al final le ponen 5/5, tampoco concuerda... De todos modos, en general, el video es muy bueno. Gracias.
Hola! En el caso de la C+ fue a la piña colada (que a mí me gusta mucho y la pruebo en todos los hoteles) pero cuando tomamos en cuenta las bebidas durante toda la estadía pues se ganó una buena calificación. Lo mismo con la comida, uno de los buffets no fue tan bueno como los otros pero todas las demás comidas fueron muy buenas, especialmente comparadas con los demás hoteles que hemos visitado. Compartimos las cosas buenas y no tan buenas pero la calificación la ponemos con mucho cuidado para reflejar el hotel como un todo y no necesariamente nuestros gustos muy particulares. ¡Gracias por tu comentario! 🙂

Lopesan Casino is tiny. It's not even considered a real casino.
Hola! Ambas opciones son muy buenas, sin embargo para 8 días creo que preferimos al Hard Rock ya que es un hotel bastante grande, con muchas áreas que les permitiría explorar sin aburrirse, además que la comida y las bebidas son ligeramente mejor en el Hard Rock =) Espero te sea útil al info =)

Just got back today from hard rock punta cana had a great time with my man. Stayed 5 days and really enjoyed ourselves. Week days are quiet but weekends are quite busy /party like

The hotel has gone to the dumps! I have been 5 times and the last was in June! By far worst experience ever! They govern the air conditioning in the rooma and hotel. (Hipe youblike hot air because that is what your going to get! No more personable service. They give you a ipad to book dinner(which 9out of 10 dont work) and don5 call the front desk as that is a waste of time! The spa smells moldy and you can actually see the mold. Then they want you to soak in it! All the food options on the beach are gone except 1 food truck with nachos and burgers... the only casino in the world you have to pay for drinks and the servers scream at you for your players card.. even the pit bosses were embarrassed but there was nothing they could do about it! They still bug you everyday to go to a time share meeting. But no1 cared about complaints.. food and service has gone down hill. Which doesn't surprise me because if they treat their guests horrible im sure they treat the staff that way as well! No stocked rooms.. no top shelf liquor. And I was in a Presidential suite. No turndown services anymore.. everything that once was has now been turned into No! That was the constant answer we got for everything! As a time share member i am praying this is not happening at the other Hard rocks! Save your money and stay somewhere else! Its like they were owned by 2 brothers that got into a nasty fight and divorced and Hard arock punta Canna got the EXTREMELY cheep brother! They ruined what once was my heaven! I shed alot of tears on my vacation due to this nasty place! Also hope you like roaches because you will find them in the halls and your room... disappointment would be a understatement!
Totally agree, every drink there tastes watered down and they try to sell you shit every chance they get. The only thing that was good was their service when I went. Even their sodas tasted off.
I really wanted to go there for another time, I did go there one time... 2019 I remember. So now is that terrible. So sad to read that. My first experience was incredible... is there any place like Hard Rock that you recommend nowadays to travel?
My first visit at Hard rock we enjoyed it before Covid therefore we booked last September for the second visit. Absolutely, awful experience. There was construction going on in the lobby. The food was terrible from the buffet to the restaurants 🤮🤮 not much options in the buffet nor the restaurants. Complete WASTE OF MONEY
That's disappointing to hear. I'm going there in early June. Hopefully they stepped it up
