I've never seen hand-speed like that... truly amazing!
Thank you so much man i wasn’t sure how to remove the hard cement. Liked
A good practice is to first keep your tools clean as you work with them. Don't be lazy at the end of the day to clean them.
Thank you for this helpful video🎉😊
This does work ! I didn't have a scraper handy but I still got it pretty clean. I used 'PB Blaster' which is what auto mechanics use to loosen tight screws , instead of WD40 , thanks !
PB Blaster is hot stuff given time to work it will!
So cement plaster sticks to steel?
How do I get mortar off a wall? Someone rebuilt an adjoining wall between my house and next door. It's rock solid and looks bloody awful. They didn't attempt to finish my side off at all.
Paint stripping style disc on a grinder has them looking like brand new.
Thanks
Spoiling us aren't u Danny, 😏😉 nice one my Friend
hydrochloric acid dissolves concrete easy in minutes. Concentrated vinegar as well. These are the chemicals used in the typical rust remover etc
and what if the item from which you need to remove the hardened cement is an item that cannot be immersed e.g. a power tool, what do you suggest then?
Firstly how did u get it on there 🤣 and it's going to be a painful process of using an abrasive to remove the concrete 👍🏻
@@DoItAllDan it got on there as the workmen didn't clean the tools after completing the work. The chisels .. no issue, immerse in phosphoric acid. Re: power tools, painful process it is then :(. Thx .. and keep up the good work.
Ah that's a nightmare when others do not take care of tools 😩 yeah unfortunately long process for you. Thanks for the support 👍🏻
Hi Danny..what about cement residue on garden flags..
I would leave to soak but you may find this difficult
Do It All Dan okay thanks
Nooice!
I clean my plastering trowel with Bi-Carb Soda
Get a giant flexi tub and fill with water and add a pot of bi-carb and stir
Place all plastering tools, hawk etc in the tub in the solution and leave over night
Remove the next day and wipe off and rinse - amazing results
Honest I didn’t realize how much this stuff actually works
I’m sure it will also clean other tools as well
Nice one Tommy!! I might pick some up and give it a go. I don't do allot of plastering to be fair but worth a try next time I do.
Thanks for the comment
This'll work with jointers too right?
Be gentle
Just use concrete disolver solution. It's cheap and cheerful and does the job in only a few.minutes with no need for wearing out ya energy and muscles.
Is this WF 40 thingy available in Pakistan?
Wd40 I'm not sure, any penetrating lubricant will be ok
@@DoItAllDan will it do on my iron wok? He used it for cement mixing, and its completely ruined...😥
I wouldn't recommend it 👍🏻
Yeah Danny boy firsly my trowls I use for points and filling in flue voids are mucky as hell. But when I do get around to cleaning them. I use my Bosch orbital sander. They come out really well. Within a couple of minutes. No wd40 or anything like that. Sometimes you can get away rubbing your trowl against a slab or brick. Does the job right😜
Hahaha, yeah most of the time a good whack does the job nicely. Most of the time that's all I use my set for but I couldn't resist buying this lot for 10p each hahaha! Thanks ghost 👌🏻💪🏻
@@DoItAllDan yeah you can't get a punch in the face for 10p these days. 10p is dirt cheap you could lob it in the bin or leave it behind on a job with no worries. Or you could chuck at an enemy and run 😂
😂😂😂😂😂💪🏻
Thanks for teaching 😃
Thanks for watching 😃👍🏻
Hi mate 😀
I saw you have an all steel hammer. Now it is about x 4 more expensive than the fiberglass handle with steel head I currently have. But I have a question. Im a little concerned that since there is a joint inside the head... That it might come apart. Is it true? Or it shouldn't happen. Because in steel hammers you also have a handle which is a second part. So it might come out as well right? What is your opinion
Hi, I have an array of hammers in my collection from steel, fibreglass, hickory and specials.
Ive never experienced any issues with my steel or fibreglass hammers, I have however with hickory but relatively easy to repair either by adding a glued wedge or replacing the handle.
I personally prefer hickory, but steel is the way to go for performance. Hope this helps
@@DoItAllDan yea to be fair it was like 2.5 dollars in the store. Super cheap. Looks ctually like a branded unit... But to be honest it already took a tv unit. A sofa. And a washing machine apart. And no wobble once whoever. I believe its pretty tough after all 😄
Thanks for the help mate
How you can clean hard cement from backyard tiles ?
You know I tend to use white vinegar and a soft sponge works a treat on tiles 👍🏻
@@DoItAllDan even the correct is old ?
You can also get a soft acid if needs be
Brick and Patio Cleaner (9% HCl)
Mortar Stain Remover (18% HCl)
10p i can tell dan your a bargain hunter like myself😁
Hahaha gotta look out for them man 😂💪🏻
a sulfamic acid soak overnight wouldve done the trick.
I don't really get it. I just quickly spray them with water during a long job or wash them off properly at the end of a short job. Cement's only difficult to remove when dry. It's the same with cement mixers. Just cos it's a messy job doesn't mean it has to get all clogged up. Just spray the rim and blades after every mix. Use the small amount of water in the mixer for the next mix After the job, don't be lazy, get in there with a hand brush and clean all around the hard to reach parts of the blade with water. It's just getting the methodology right, it doesn't take a long time and mixes mix better with clean blades.
Oh.... you're a desk warrior... you don't work a blue collar job, so you don't know how retarded you sound... bless your heart
Normally clean right away in water 👌🏻
"Normally" is the key word here. The only time I've had to clean dried cement from tools is when I have lent those tools to a friend or a family member. Then, their lending privileges are over.
Let the novice level people to be safe, trowel edges are knife sharp
Y r u so adorable!!!!!❤❤❤
🤷🏻♂️
We want to know how to clean REAL hard cement from a huge excavator's bucket.
Buy a new bucket 🤣
Hammer
Dynamite
Empty Beer Cans
SlurryDestroyer. Non corrosive and safe. Softens concrete for easy cleaning.
Wd40 - dry off - wire wheel - Wd40 - dry off - buffing wheel - wd40
Amen to that starly 💪🏻👌🏻✌🏻
@@DoItAllDan I should add if it's a chrome finish adding a bit of collgate toothpaste or silver polish brings those up gleaming.
Nice tips starly thanks for letting me know 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Starly .......Buffing wheel....it's not a diamond ring your cleaning , it's a fooking trowel......😀
@@yensabiI'm referring to tools in general. Trowels in an ideal world should be cleaned at the end of the day with a stiff brush and bucket of water. When your tools make you money it's best to take good care of them.
If you clean your trowels after use like I do , there's no need to do any of this......it only takes a minute......😳
Exactly, people do not seem to take care of them nowadays. I see it all the time, trowels caked in cement drives me mad.
Luckily these were a bargain at 10p each from the bootsale
U are adorable!!!!!!
Thank ... U 😂
