Hi Julia, About a year ago, I don’t know why, just put my painting supplies in a box and said, “forget it! I can’t do this!”
Just pulled just a few things out as to not get overwhelmed. This video popped up when I started watching videos and i love it. You are such a great instructor and you are so real with your thought process. I love that your mother kept texting you!
And don’t listen to anyone’s negative comments. People who write anything bad are nothing but mean. You are a master at your art and I love your subject matter.
Thank you Kim - comments like these are what give me that extra motivation to keep going!
I truly. Enjoy watching you do trees as I’m a new beginner in watercolours and do struggle with trees
Im so glad!
Another Christmas season is coming very close, I would love to see Christmas related topics during this time. The weather is cold and enjoying your painting is the best thing.
There are a few more upcoming Christmas related tutorials :)
Love your channel and THE WAY you teach us how to do watercolor as well as demonstrate what NOT to do (in real time). I've learned a lot from you and appreciate all your help. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!.
Thank you so much! Merry Christmas!
Thank you for your detail in teaching us novices. I appreciate your “imperfections “ as it helps me see mistakes can be made but you can still make something so beautiful. You’re a great teacher. Merry Christmas!
That is so nice of you to say, thank you Sandi!
Really love this! Definitely going to try this today 😊 Happy Holiday!
Merry Christmas!
The way you did the background is what drew me to this painting. I like how you blended the black right into the red, beautiful! Making this, thank you!
So happy you like it! Yes the background definitely brings out the colors
Very cute!
Thank you! 😊
18:20 Lisa, I loved the video especially the parts where you are so real! Your conversation felt like two friends sitting across from each other chatting about their experiences. It was so refreshing. Thank you and hope you have a good Christmas.
I love comments like these because I've never thought of my chatter that way - it's such a nice compliment!
@@JuliaLisArt sorry, I mush Julia and Lis together and came up with Lisa 😳
This came in handy for a last minute Christmas Card. THANK YOU, Julia. Low stress, save for a cat sat in my lap while doing some of it. I'm not on any social media so the only way you can see it is if you check my Flickr.
Im glad to hear the video came in handy, thanks for watching!
delightful and relatively easy to do... nice card feature 😊❤
You did such a beautiful job on this painting! Thank you for your clear instructions. Happy holidays!
Merry Christmas!
Lovely darling!!! ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching Lesa!
I used your gorgeous idea and made multiple Christmas gifts this year watercoloring for friends and family. The response has been wonderful. Thanks for your inspiration. ❤❤❤
very nice..thanks for the tips.
No problem!
did a version this morning..love how it turned out...would love to know what you think..is it possible to send it to you some how?@@JuliaLisArt
thank you very much, it is very beautiful
I'm glad you like it
You make total sense :) Love this video. It is a nice addition to your pdf tutorial I just got from Etsy.
So glad it was helpful and thank you for your support!!
Have you ever used masking medium - it peels off afterwards - to mask an area like the ornament? It's come in handy for me when I paint a subject in water.
I'm heard of it but if I really need to cover an area, I'll use tape. Thanks for the suggestion though!
I love this, it turned out beautifully and I love the arrangement too. This will be easy for me (I hope) thanks to your workshop booklet I’m all about my branches and needles….now if I could only put them on a whole tree 😂 thanks again for another wonderful tutorial 😊💜
You can do it! Thanks for watching Tamy! Ps please leave a review of the booklet on etsy if you can :)
❄❄🌲🌲🤍🤍❤❤
:)
There is no shame in starting over. Awesome job tho. 👏
Thanks!
Difficult following a tutorial when you lead with what you’ve done wrong, and what you “should” have done, and now just “making do”.
Everyone seems to have an opinion on this - most people love that I share mistakes and how I fix them. Anyways I advise everyone to watch a tutorial before attempting it
Are you a beginner ?
I wouldn't say so but if you think so then that's humbling haha!
