#Spiderhead #Ending #Explained - Krátké a kreslené filmy
The whole concept of this movie kinda feel like some of the episodes of Black Mirror
Definitely had Black Mirror vibes!
Personally, I enjoyed it, although it ended flatly and I feel a better ending would’ve been an extra twist; that Steve was actually a prisoner also and that he had a position of power simply because he was the son of his fathers company, Abnesti Pharma.
Wouldn’t that make more sense to why Steve hated being called Mr. Abnesti all the time? I think it would’ve rounded the story off better.
Yeah, I can agree with that. It's actually surprising he named his company that.
@@TheNerdDoc I don't think he was hiding it from anyone but the prisoners. He's a narcissist so he would name it after himself
@@Melanie-zf3wb But he hates his dad, and presumably that's his father's name too
@@TheNerdDoc He still chose to name it that. I just meant he wanted the prisoners to think he had people higher up controlling things, so he could be more relatable and trustworthy to him, pretending none of the directives were coming from him
@@Melanie-zf3wb Yep, agree 100%
I thought the movie was amazing like really good but the ending kinda ruined it. The whole fight/jailbreak scene killed the momentum of the movie. There was a lot they could have done with the ending.
The ending could've been better. Even the book ending would've been better than what the movie did with it, but I think they could've improved on both
I loved this movie. It reminded me of the short stories that are read in middle school and high school. The story is set up to where you can fill in the gaps using your own imagination from your own interpretations.
Bro what movie did you watch . You mean it was so bad you wanted to make the rest up about half way this wasn't the island of Dr morou or of mice and men try watching some films from the 80s and 90s man pull yourself together .
Although I've never read the story, "Escape from Spiderhead", I just saw this movie yesterday and I love it! Although I would love to see the original story's ending I feel like it wouldn't have been as action packed as the movie's ending. I do recommend! 10/10!
Definitely less action in the original story, which is probably one of the reasons for the change. Would've been interesting to see both played out though 🙃
@@TheNerdDoc I definitely agree!
Great premise, and the film is genuinely thought-provoking.
And possibly also prescient: If drugs like Obediex, Verbulace and Darkenfloxx (and the others) don't already exist in some form, they might very well sometime soon.
Very true, they're definitely on the path to this kind of stuff. Maybe not with such immediate results anytime soon, but significant effect for sure
I think that was the purpose of this movie..”Be warned.”
@@monetpetals86 same, predictive programming
There are very similar parallels in modern pharmacology.
Verbulace would probably be a stimulant, like amphetamine.
The one that causes everything to be beautiful is most similar to MDMA.
Darkenfloxx is extremely similar in effect to the chemical weapon BZ.
G47 is most similar to many synthetic cannabinoids or Dronabinol.
You are very good at what you do!! Thank you!
Oh wow, thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the video
Great review. The messages in this movie went way over most people's heads.
Thanks! Yeah there was a bit to unpack here, and I actually like how they changed it up from the source material (the good and the bad changes)
I will never understand how Jeff never got any injuries from that car accident what so ever. Reminds me of wolverines daughter and amica cream advocate Amber Heard.
I think the permanent scars on his face were from the accident. And I've known people who were saved from serious injury by being thrown from the car
@@Melanie-zf3wb even after landing like that on impact?
@@cellyszn20 yea, he also rolled, if he broke anything it'd be healed by the movie timeline
This was actually a really good flick and it’s pretty short too :)
I think they could've pushed the concept a bit further, but it was definitely better than I expected it to be.
Miles Teller gave me John Cusack vibes. Would have liked to see them expand a bit on choice since none had agreed to B-6 but overall i thought it was fine.
I would have to look at it again to determine if escort/guards were prisoners as well since they seem to disappear at some point.
Miles Teller was 100% giving off a John Cusack vibe. Good call there
I think they never needed the inmates to acknowledge, but they asked them for permission to test if B-6 was working.
Love and obedience
It was alright. The ending was what made it bad to me.
Oh dip!! I'm first!!! Great movie!!!
Loved the movie, gave me hardcore Black Mirorr vibes
Very Black Mirror!
Came cuz I thought he was in love with Jeff 🤣
I mean... I mean... probably not too far from the truth lol
@kyle yes, i'm thinking the same. That is why i remember steve's line sometimes in the movie(after he asked Jeff if he ever fell in love) saying people are lucky to feel love because not all people can. Including him I suppose..
@kyle He had some sociopathic tendencies, but I also feel as though he wasn't like that his entire life. His comments about beautiful people getting away with things, how poorly he treated Mark, things like that make it seem as though he was more "normal" at some point, possibly before he dove into his work
What drug is Steve taking alone in his room? Is it N-40, and if so, why alone?
Yeah it was N-40. He's a lonely guy and just wanted to relax and be happy. It would actually be pretty cool if you could take a pill that made you happy for a few hours. I guess we kind of have something like that already, but you know what I mean lol
@@TheNerdDoc it's called Oxycodone lol
If you need this film explained to you you need drug's .
Wow you cleared up a lot. The movie wasn’t clear at all. Poor dialogue
Yeah, it wasn't clear lol. Glad I could help!
Tonally this movie was all over the place. I didn't like it.
Quite possibly the worst use of an evening after work in my 42 years on this earth. Pure shit.
Yeah I'm sure you've seen worst movies stop being so dramatic
the only reason I did not click the like button is because it has 69 likes
I understand and respect that decision 😂
I have an explanation. This movie is trash.
Ok
This was a very very bad movie
Ok
terrible movie - waste of time - pretentious at every level.
The movie could've been better, but if this movie was terrible, what do you think of movies like Matrix: Resurrection? 😅
@@TheNerdDoc never saw it but heard it was disappointing....
There’s always that one person
@@silashurd3597 says the "one person" with the fake photo that subscribes to the Dead Meat channel....
Cry
I’m surprised that I like this movie as much as I do😃👍
Definitely on my favorite Netflix exclusives
Not perfect but still good to me🫡
(I even changed my pfp to A photo of Steve Abnesti, Hemsworth’s character)
I was surprised it was as good as it was. Netflix movies can be really hit or miss sometimes
@@TheNerdDoc they can👍
