Many years ago I saw these guys for sale at every pet store in my area. I thought, "What cute little babies! I want one." Then I went to the library did research, called the zoos in my area asking about husbandry, talked to the pet shop owners (this was before the internet). After discovering it would need it's own room, a dedicated outside area, special diet, lighting, would become much larger than that cute little tortoise that fit in my palm, not to mention it would outlive me....I decided it was not for me. Still think they're awesome, though!
Keep doing this. It is a fantastic thing that you are doing. I have been noticing that other zoos are doing this video blog engagement with people. It is crucial that people become aware that animals are individuals who have every right to be respected and protected on par with people. This is a wonderful thing that you are doing. I hope in the future we can hear more voices both the keepers and their four legged friends.
"...that animals are individuals who have every right to be respected and protected on par with people." ... that non-human animals .... with human animals. * And they don't have 4 legs. They have 2 rear limbs and 2 front limbs, just every other vertebrate.
Show me any of these animals that has such a nice fulfilling life in the wild. I think modern zoos perform a great service by acting as animal ambassadors. They take good care of their animals and allow the public to come learn about the different species, which in turn makes them care about preserving these animals in the wild.
What a fantastic and fun video ! I love tortoises and have the pleasure to see the giant tortoises in Galapagos in person. These fearless goats are friendly and mischievous. I love to see the interaction of these animals ! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Somebody made a "tortoise scrubber", I saw the photo on CZcams. Stiff floor brushes attached to a little arch, just a LITTLE too small for his tortoise, but it's built that way on purpose, so it "scrubs" the tortoise as they pass through. They love it. Go in, then move back and forth getting scrubbed, or, massaged. Just an idea for your zoo.
Aww how cute lol. I always say that but all the animals are so neat. Ruth has the most prettiest eyes. Love to see everything the zoo shares. Thank you.
I love the look on people’s faces when I tell them tortoises are faster than you think...and they can climb... and move furniture... and they’re pros at hide and seek.
this is a brilliant idea for a series and it is eternally entertaining. every animal they see, every encounter is eternally entertaining. brilliant series.
Tortoises are amazingly fast and quiet. They are stealthy movers, not slow movers. My Sonoran Desert tortoise can disappear in the blink of an eye. I need to put a clapper on her!
“It’s coming right ‘tortoise’”! Genius.
Andrea Sharlene haha bicecpun indeed.
anyone else notice the weird sex joke at 3:37
Andrea Sharlene that's what I thought she said.
Andrea Sharlene ,
That was good!
Slow clap to all my punny friends out there.
The biggest icebreaker was for the goats to be able to stand on the tortoises and for tortoises not to mind. 🐐🐢🐐🐢
😘
Remember the name
They are probably like “whoa! Why is that rock moving!?”
Did anyone else notice that the lead tortoise keeper is named "SHELLEY"?! So fitting!
Look out when she's coming tortoise...
Brianne is actually hilarious with all her little quips! “Oh look, he’s coming right “tortoise”!” 😂
I require more of these goat videos for my survival.
Love this statement
😀
Tortoise: Man, I should not have had that extra serving of salad...
Goat: UBER!!
Best pun of the year: “He’s coming right tortoise!” 😂😂😂
Get away from the Choppa!
@British shorthair! No, it doesn't. Still don't get it.
@@tetsuo964 It does if you pronounce "tortoise" correctly.
@Dominus Providebit lol yes it does. If you pronounce not CORRECTLY it sounds like cimg right tortoise. (TOWARD US). Idiots...

Man, animals are just incredibly gorgeous aren't they?
Sometimes I'm just amazed at how much diverse life we have in this planet.
"OMG! Rocks can move! This changes everything!"
It's like Jurassic Park, but more adorable.
It's Holocene Park...
At First it was "the rock moves! What manner of witchcraft is this!"
became: "moving or not, it's a rock and I MUST stand upon it!"
haha!
I love how curious the tortoises were, one would think they would be uninterested in things, but they seem like they are very engaging critters!
Tortoise aren't slow...their movements are meaningful!👍🤠💟🐢
I love that she described the tortoise’s movement & speed as being *_"meaningful"_* instead of slow!🐢
The tortoises din’t seem to bother at all with the goats. The interaction from the goat’s perspective was entertaining, though.

Thank You🤗💕 Love that take your animals visiting 👍🥰
thank you for sharing these videos. Brings so much joy and smiles!
I won’t lie. I’m obsessed with the Tiny Goats’ adventures!!!❤️
Nice to see the goats interacting with another species. Usually they keep a distance and watch whatever animal they're visiting.
This is education and cuteness rolled in one
This is one of my favorite of this tiny goats meet other animals series. You all have the coolest jobs. Keep 'em coming!
Can you take on another turtle ours is out growing our yard? 🐢
My kitty LOVES watching these videos!
This is turtle-y awesome.
I wondered if the goats would take a little Roomba ride! Too cute!
Meaningful. That is awesome; i love it.
This interaction was a success!
I'm learning more about other animals with each visit. YEAH!
I look forward to their next visit/video
3:37 I think that tortoise is doing more than carrying that other one ;)
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Binge watching these goat meets videos. Hoping others donate to the zoo. This is awesome
Regardless of skill and ability, giving someone named Shelly the lead caregiver position for tortoises has gotta be some kind of joke, right?
Shelly is a good name for a tortoise keeper.
Goat thought process:
Will it eat me? No.
Can I climb on it? Yes!
That is too funny!
Tortoises are magic carpets for goats .
Damn these goats don’t know how good they got it! Very lucky! 🍀
YES!! I love this series. I can't wait to be able to visit them myself.
Every tortoise I've ever met LOVES a good massage.
So damn cute! Love how they enjoy standing on top of things
Hahaha of course! Goats like scaling rocks! How cute! As a tortoise/turtle lover and owner, I highly approve 🥰
This is my favorite channel on CZcams. Thank you!
Can't wait to visit Oregon's Zoo. 🙋
Nature and animals is amazing 💚😘🐢🐐...This is beautiful 🌿

How cute. :3 It was nice seeing the kids getting to peacefully meet the African spurred tortoises. :)
So cute!
They are adorable
Goat #1: "Ahhh! that rock is walking!" Goat #2 "I think I'll stop it by ...ooops! Nope, it's walking again!" :)
One of the cutest encounters😄

I love watching what goes on behind the scenes at the zoos. Please keep it up.
That was so cool, it made me smile the whole time I watched it!
I love the look on people’s faces when I tell them tortoises are faster than you think...and they can climb... and move furniture... and they’re pros at hide and seek.
T'was this day that these goats found out about _taxis._
That is so funny and sweet.
I absolutely love these videos!
Goat: woah, a moving rock
I love this series too...

Ahhhh I thought maple and filbert were the highlight but this is GREAT
Tortoises are amazingly fast and quiet. They are stealthy movers, not slow movers. My Sonoran Desert tortoise can disappear in the blink of an eye. I need to put a clapper on her!
The music at the beginning really fits these little goats personalities!
Goats and tortoises...life is good.
Tortoise are so cool.
We should all be like tortoise more.
Zoo keeper. Do you remember me?
Elephant. I'm a freaking elephant what do you think?
I love it!!
I will be watching this again, and again☺
Nice video. Great work. Cheers. Picocluster.
This might be my fav one so far
Never did I expect to see dwarf goats riding tortoises.
What's even crazier is how well they got along, but they would never interact with each other in the wild due to geography
The tortoises look like an old married couple
best one yet
i love this channel so much it makes me so happy!!
Love this one - I'd also love to see the tiny goats visit the baby mountain goats!

Pygmy goats are so majestic
