      @@verahadden4712 Yeah, I like your arrangement. What I do is, I write down a schematic of what is what and I use a square matrix set up ( as opposed to your circular)., because I have square tray. Bottom left is A1, A2 on top A3 on top of that and then one column to the right B1,B2 B3 , then C shades another column D shades next column over, etc and then on the very right hand side I put Translucent, Cuspal white ,Enamel Light, and below that Enamel Dark, Gingival. .I go A-D left to right , incisal to gingival top to bottom. Any other shade as needed is marked on paper , so I can remember where it is :)). ( I don't colour my powders).

    Hi Vera - love your work and videos. Which country is your lab located in. Would also love to watch some videos for absolute beginners like the basic stuff and the little things like how many total firings, separater liquid, how to transfer a layered unit from model to firing tray etc

      Hi! Yes, it’s my favorite porcelain to use on metal restorations - nice bond, does not crack and shades come out looking natural

    Hi Vera! I have been watching your videos since ive started to learn layering. And cracks occurs after the first firing between the teeth (mesial-distal parts). What can i do for them or is it normal?

    • @verahadden4712
      @verahadden4712  Před rokem +1

      Hi! Yes, cracks are quite normal, especially if the frame is small and you have to build up a lot of porcelain. I work with very good metal frame and zirconia frame designers and they make frames appropriate size with very good inter proximal spaces so it’s easy for me to avoid large cracks. I also pre-dry my bridges on the tray for 15 min or put them on infrared pre drying in the oven, make baking temperature 5-10 degrees higher, hold time 10-15 seconds longer so porcelain can melt well and always set slow cooling cycle to 300C before the oven opens to avoid cracks due to temperature shock. All of that helps me avoid cracks to a degree. But still they happen sometimes… When I see cracks I grind the bridge as usual, do texture and anatomy and then fill in the cracks with small amounts of regular or opaque dentine, glaze and bake on second bake program. After that it usually comes out perfect. I just have to slightly open a polish inter proximal spaces. Hope this is helpful🙌😊🤗

      @@verahadden4712 If you pre-dry your work, do you still use the drying programm part which is mostly part of a baking cycle? Is that part of the cycle not enough? Can it happen that you dry it for too long? Sorry for asking too much, I'm a newbie, but I'm glad that you make these videos.
