Why Petting Your Dog Isn’t Always Good

All dogs are different.
Some dogs don’t really like physical contact, and that is OKEY!
Find something else to do with your dog to show love. Playing? Dogwalk, food, water.
By just letting your dog be a dog and respecting that you are showing love.
We can’t force our physical love upon dogs. That will lead to problem. Rather, we should respect them for wanting some privacy sometimes, and learn how we can interact in the best way with that dog instead of physical affection.
It’s a misconception that you have to pet dogs all the time.
Of course, you should be able to touch the dog to for instance cut the claws or shower the dog. But you don’t need to pet the dog all the time.
