- The Lord of the Rings trilogy marked the beginning of Orlando Bloom's career. Orlando formed a close bond with many of his co-stars, such as Liv Tyler and Sean Bean, with Bean hilariously calling Bloom "Southern Softy" and Bloom referring to Bean as "Northern Bastard"!
Sean Bean being called a northern bastard by Bloom is absolute class

I met him at a comic con once. Super, super nice guy. I called a friend while I was there, who is a huge Sean Bean fan, and he took a minute to say hello. My only regret is that I haven't been able to meet him again. :)

He was also in blackhawk down, but not a lot of screen time. This film definitely put him on the map

To be fair is not that he said a lot in the movies so with all love and respect being a handsome/perfect looking Legolas is most of what he did, and being a beast slayer ninja what made his character the coolest but Orlando didn't do that himself😆@@quinncy.
Lord of the rings was not Orlando's first ever role it was his first movie role. I saw an interview where he spoke about playing theatre roles to pay his rent begore he got cast in Lord of the rings.

King in the North
I grew up on the LOTR trilogy. Yet it took me multiple rewatches until I caught on to the scene where everyone is traversing through the deep snow and Legolas is casually walking on top of it. This is obviously due to elves body weight being very light compared to the other races.
Their feet are light
I did learn that from the lego Video game of lotr as they have implemented that as a Feature of legolas there. After that i then saw it also being in the movie😅
You can also tell when he mounts his horse or climbs the oliphaunt.
They don’t simply weigh less, it’s more like they are in control of their weight… They can be very light or very heavy at will. Elf magic stuff

@@overforest1195 In England or the US? I can’t speak to England but here in the US there still is a marked difference though it’s fading as a ton of people are moving from Blue States to Red States and that is changing the cultural as well as political landscape.
@@Whitpusmc North-South divide in England is insane, the south tends to be richer with a large amount of finance and high tech industries, very middle class towns and the government focuses on this region the most whereas the north (like Wales and Scotland also did) suffered from the collapse of manufacturing industry heavily in the 80's and 90's.
The general stereotype is that northerners are more working class compared to the middle class south.

That's a massive oversimplification, but the vibes of the south being where the centre of economy, industry and upper class dickheads and the north less well off and generally more friendly to your neighbour

The LOTR trilogy is being shown at Regal for one day each movie. Tomorrow June 10th, 2024 is the last film, Return Of The King. There is absolutely nothing like seeing it on the big screen. Wood’s looks are so cinematically perfect for the part of Frodo. With his large , strikingly beautiful eyes and cherubic face he lights up the screen. And of course Viggo is also perfect as Aragon. Some people complained that he wasn’t right for the part but he had the scruffy intensity that was just perfect. Apparently after the first actor Stuart Townsend was dismissed the call went to Viggo, and he jumped on a plane at LAX and flew to New Zealand immediately. Actually, the whole ensemble cast was incredible. And as I watched the long scroll of hundreds of people who worked on the film, it was truly mind boggling. The trilogy is a cinematic masterpiece.

The title of this video is a bit misleading. Legolas wasn’t Orlando Bloom’s first role, just his first major film role. His first role was Peter Drinkwater on _Midsomer Murders_ - got murdered with a pitchfork and all!
I came to enjoy watching all three movies. I only saw the third installment (The Return of the King) in the cinema, the other first two films I saw on DVD. I became a child again with the magical world that J. R. R. Tolkien created, brought to the big screen by Peter Jackson and the entire cast of actors, musicians, specialists, etc... I cannot but thank all those who participated in the creation of This great work of art, which even today, continues to move me when I see it, and its great soundtrack. Thanks!!

Dyslexia can affect spatial reasoning, making it more easy to confuse left and right is an example, but also problems navigating both from maps and observable locations and sometimes even difficulty correlating speed and distances are known symptoms. It isn't just an "can't read letters properly" condition, there's a bit more to it
