- I’m so excited to share with you my recent purchase from Louis Vuitton! I purchased the Louis Vuitton Alma BB in Damier Ebene as a present from me to me for my birthday this year.
In this video, I’ll share with you my first impressions of the Alma BB, why I decided to purchase it and why I chose it in the Damier Ebene canvas, what to look out for when purchasing the Alma BB (whether you decide to buy it brand new or preloved), and also my overall thoughts and whether or not I still think it’s worth it even after the most recent Louis Vuitton price increase.

Congrats! I recently got the same bag and couldn’t be happier with it. I also ordered online and the first one they sent was made in US, had a snag in the red fabric, and weird rippling in the side leather tag. Thankfully they exchanged it for a perfect made in France piece!

I so love my Alma BB. I named her Lui and she's 4 yrs old now but still looking brand new even if I used her a lot (even when it's raining). For me, it's a lot more versatile than the speedy and neverful and not very common. When I cluttered, I sold my other LV (Speedy and noe) and just retained the Alma BB along with the key cles in mono and and mini pochette in d.e. :)

I have been using my alma bb over 5 years so many times. It still looks almost brand new. All the hardwares are stil bright and shinny. So pretty bag and fit deceivingly a lot. There are rarely bags that have feet nowadays in LV bags and alma bb has little feets so cute. Enjoy.

I love my alma bb (in epi leather), but it’s actually easy to get scratches than canvas. I feel so elegant every time I use it although it doesn’t fit as much as i would like. I now bought a neverfull in canvas which is so easy to use!
Oh wow, I thought epi leather would be quite durable and not show scratches as much given it’s textured nature. The Neverfull is such a great and carefree bag! ☺️
I also have the epi and find that it’s also more rigid compared to my DE Alma

Congrats it is beautiful! I saw someone else that has the wrinkling of the leather. LV says it is a natural variation of the cowhide that sometimes doesn’t show up until later. They will replace all the wrinkled leather!

Newer LV bags are microchips now..I’ve just purchased On the Go MM LV bag at first I was thinking it was fake because no date inside but I bought it in the LV Store In Edinburgh so no way they’re selling fake bags there. But me & my friends investigated & it’s all microchips now and I feel relieved after all & I’m loving my new bag❤️❤️❤️

I have the speedy b 25 in damier ebene and my crossbody strap has the same wrinkling. Not initially but I think its from it being bent while in use.
Thanks for sharing! I think what troubled me was it was a brand new bag. I think some wrinkling over time is okay - the straps in my Neverfull also have some wrinkling but I’ve had that bag for years 😆

It’s a stunning bag 😍 it is a bit of con that the strap isn’t adjustable but I think it’s still worth it for the price 👌🏻 and it’s a good thing it’s detachable so you can at least attach a different strap to it ☺️

Hi there! Actually the zipper playing and you feel relaxed is called ASMR if I am not wrong. Zipper ASMR from LV Alma bags are nice! There are many so zipper asmr videos on CZcams.
At the same time, if you kept playing with the zippers, it actually helps to make it run smoother overtime (seasoned). No need to use candle wax.

They’re both beautiful and classic bags 💕 if you carry a lot with you on a daily basis, then the speedy b is the way to go. But if you’re quite minimal and want a versatile bag that can be worn during the day and evenings, then the Alma bb is perfect. I honestly think there’s a spot for both in your collection 😜

I have this bag before the increase two years ago it was 1300 but I don't even wear it because it's not that easy to open or close you need to put it down and use two hands and it's not fit to be a crossbody because it protrudes off the body so much but it does fit the essentials

This issue with the base is strange. My ebene one is lined all the way down and has no sagging. I just got it in leather and it had the hollow area you describe. I returned it. My SA looked into it and said it should be no more than a few milimetres gap as it’s not necessary. She checked a few in store and it was mixed. Management got back to her admitting that some of the craftsmen find it hard to get the lining right into the base and corners. They are told to say it’s meant to be like that to help sell them. If if doesn’t bother you it’s fine but I didn’t like the bouncy feel or loss of space and my SA pointed out that a key or pen could poke through.
Oh wow, that’s so interesting! Thank you so much for sharing. The base doesn’t bounce too much on mine so I don’t mind it. I’d rather having that extra space to ensure it doesn’t sag down the track ☺️
I am dwelling to get an Alma BB or Croisette😭 I think I will get the Alma BB now cause it looks so classy and timeless🤎
The Alma is definitely one of LV’s classic bags. It’s also more structure compared to the Croisette so it will stay looking new longer imo ☺️

I recently purchased this same Alma BB demier Ebene bag online and received a made in USA, which is the only reason why I returned it. I would have kept it if it was made in France. With the recent price increase, all made in USA bags will be returned
It’s always good to inspect the bag anyway, no matter where it’s made. I’ve heard of some Made in France bags that don’t quite meet the mark in terms of quality. I’m happy with wherever it’s made, so long it’s made well ☺️
Does your bag have a date code, just got mine which I bought on the website and it didn’t come with a date code and I’m kinda worried
Hi there! Mine doesn’t have a date code either. The newer LV bags no longer come with one. The stores have a device that can scan the bag and tell you when it was made - I think to stop counterfeits. So I wouldn’t stress 😊

I just got mine today and there are two red dots from the stitching. I just came here to see if anyone has it. I still have 30 days to return it but I'll speak to an advisor online first. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Of course! I’ve seen lots of people not attach it. It’s personal preference. I like the look of it with the clochette, but you could attach your own charm or chain to give it a unique look 😊

Hello 🤗 I don’t own the croisette. It’s a beautiful bag, especially in the Damier azur print but I think it would be quite fiddly getting in and out of it due to the clasp opening. I would still choose the Alma bb - there’s just something so elegant and classic about it and I love the zipper closure ☺️

REALLY contemplating this ... I've heard a few people call them tacky or cheap looking / plane jane, maybe because there's so many fakes around? I'm really torn as I'm worried I might fall out of love with this bag:/ , can anybody share their opinions?
I think it’s a beautiful bag! The silhouette will never go out of style. As for tacky/fakes, I haven’t noticed as many out there compared to other LV bags such as the Neverfull. But regardless, if you love it, rock it 🤗

I don't worry about what others are wearing or sayi g as long as I have mine and I enjoy it. Everyone is at a different stage in life.
Since March or April 2020 they stopped date codes. I bought it right at April and got so confused I thought it was fake but I asked my SA and he said theres no more date codes. Sucks cause I wish they had both. Nevertheless this bag is so cute and amazing ! Love using it ! Only thing I don't like is putting long items like long wallets or paper letters.

My Alma is old and the date code is stamped into the lip of the pocket, not on a leather tab.
