Thank you Tim for this trip back in time. I regret that I did not have the chance to see the Kodak Hula Show personally even though I am a lifelong resident.
I was at the show late eighties early nineties was staying in hotel quite close to the show and Waikiki beach it was the best show I had ever seen on holidays. Hawaii is a magical place and staying in Honolulu is a good idea as you are close to other attractions the most spine tingling being Pearl Harbour OMG the navy take you out to the Arizona Memorial very moving, also Punchbowl National . Dole factory he International Market Place I loved as they had hand made objects and jewellery, bought quite a few pieces it’s great in there and a must see. Would love to go back one day tha hula show was great too.
I saw this show a couple of times during our visits to Hawai'i. "BEST" show ever. Too bad they don't do it anymore. Most of the shows there now are getting too theatrical and showy. Bring back the simple and homey. They're so much more enjoyable.
