    I noticed this on ACR as well. Made an account a few years ago and was playing strictly Sit and Go's and there were about 6 or 7 profiles that I had noticed were playing 16+ hours straight for days and days on end across 10+ tables at the same time and playing extremely odd. They would fold 15-20 hands in a row then would all of a sudden call a jam 20-30bb's deep with 72o and won 90% of the time doing this. Very funky behavior and to win at that frequency over the 80ish games I played with these players.....yeah very shady things going on at ACR. Funny thing is, every one of these accounts were from the same country. Not to mention the multiple bank fraud charges that came up from them by depositing funds at ACR.....I could go on for days about them. It's just a shady company all around. Stay away!

    Hi Charlie, thank you for the video.
    I think that there is a big problem in the poker community and media here. I think it should be appreciated and encouraged more by the poker media that they did find and ban bots. Also, that guy that helped finding the bots should find way more appreciation.
    I mean, in some way, even this video which I really like oversimplified is "ACR did something against cheating, don't go to hard on them guys"
    The poker community and media actually gives incentives for sites not to take care about the cheating problems that much. The way it is now, a site does something about it, it is taken for granted and underappreciated, you lose some customers that get aware of bots the first time, you get bad press for not doing sth right or even ridiculed (in this video here that someone has been refunded an amount that he doesn't think is fair). There is no reward for a site taking action. And there is almost no reward for private people doing research. And that is a problem in incentives.
    The question is, how we as a community can reward that guy. How could I ship him $50 as a thank you f.e.? (Or paying him a grand for having a deep look into the games I play on another site)
    What do you think?

      @@CharlieCarrel I'd assume it's very probable rather than improbable that they have some insider stuff going. And yes, it's all just assumptions and not an accusation, maybe i worded it badly. Just look at the past of online poker. And like you said- just a few years ago talking about bots taking tournament guarantees away would've ended you being labeled as a looney or conspiracy theorist but that is a technological reality. Sad thing is that most of the trust in online poker integrity is just blind trust. Some of the stuff can be verified by analyzing data and poker community has been pretty good at that for obvious reasons. But it seems that the more time goes by and more tech advances, the more likely it is that the entire industry is ran by bots and all kinds of stables, big data analysis, RTA etc etc. Sadly, i believe that just like at the early days of online poker when HUD-s came out there was discussion about whether it's ethical to use, due to technical reality of things we might see some of the RTA stuff or something similar being accepted to some extent at some point or another. But who knows. Trusting online is more difficult than ever.

  • @MrJoosebawkz
    @MrJoosebawkz Pƙed 27 dny +1

    i can see why these companies don't reimburse players. It's not like they could ever refund money that cheaters took out of the site. Online poker is not that profitable. So they can only refund what they confiscate which is most likely going to be a fraction of what was lost. Especially in tournaments where sure you might've lost $x in EV to a player, but more than likely most of that money went to a real player (or a bot that already cashed out), it's not like ACR can confiscate prize winnings from a legit player to pay back people that were cheated. So now we're talking fractions of fractions. But ok, we actually have money to return, even if it's a small amount. How do you determine who gets it and how much? You could calculate the EV of chips that were lost to the cheaters, and figure out the EV for every player who lost a pot to the cheater than give them their proportionate fraction of the recovered funds. But how exactly are you going to do that? Does ACR even have the backend capabilities to calculate that? Or a staff member with the necessary statistical understanding to build and calculate a system like that? more than likely the best a site like that can do is just divide the recovered funds equally by anybody who ever paid the cheater. That means most of the people getting funds probably only played one small pot or no pots at all with the cheater. Which is going to disproportionately affect players who lost significant amount of money/ev to the cheater. So now we're talking about fractions of fractions of fractions. There's basically no way to do this that doesn't either a. endanger the cashflow of the site, risking bankrupting it or b. give pittances to the affected players that's most likely more disrespectful than giving them nothing
