Dude, Rob Paulsen is one of the best people on the planet. Not only is he an amazing voice actor, but just such a genuine, kind, insightful person. I had the chance to meet(ish) him once when I was nine years old. He was at a kids' fair at Balboa Park in Los Angeles. I was in line to get an autograph from him and some other voice actors, but I asked him to do about 5 different voices from the picture he signed for me and he was just so patient and so engaged (as much as he could be with the huge line forming) and I was just so thrilled about that experience and every time I see Rob in a video, I just get so happy to see him and remember not only all of my favorite shows that he voiced characters on, but just to see that he loves his job and gives such great advice. For a while, I wanted to be a voice actor because of him. Rob, if you read this, I just want to thank you for all of your work and the smiles you put on peoples' faces every single day.
I agree with Rob. I absolutely love the fact that our childhood wasn't on film. Now a days, the amount of filming is just insane. Also, yes, there are days when you do have to own up for something you do or say, and it's not always easy either.
I am loving these interviews with Rob Paulsen. As someone who's pipe dream is to be a voice actor, I love the insight about the realities of the industry. I did have some idea, as I have been to Hollywood for a class (anime dubbing), but this is like a free lesson to expand on the little bit I had already learned.
