  • After fishing out of Tavernier for the last 3 days I was a little stressed out about catching bait the next morning out of Islamorada for my charter. So I decided to head out the day before to seal the deal on a well full of bait and get them into a pen for the next day. We hit it big! Thanks for watching!

Man, Guiding ain’t easy, inexpensive, easy on the body, easy on the boat, without all kinds of risks or a simple Walk in the Park….ever!
Appreciate and highly respect every Guide.
    Be well.

I’ve only just heard the beginning, and I already wish you GL, I know chartering can be hard especially when your being paid to try your best to keep people entertained and on the fish!

Love the bait vids. Bait is definitely stressful sometimes, everything else is easy when the wells are loaded.

Hey Capt. Have you tried chumming with Purina Tropical Fish food? When I come down there to the keys that is what I use and that is what we primarily use in Tampa Bay. Good job on the videos!

    •  Před 3 lety

I haven’t tried it yet. I’ve heard of doing that before I’ll have to finally try it. I’ve heard good reports

Charles, we are from Texas and will be towing a brand new Hewes Redfisher 21 that has never been in the water down to Angler house Marine on the 15th of January. What we are looking for is someone to show us the back country, (I’m not asking for your super secret spots.) something we can catch some dinner and also do fly fishing. If things work out we can book you once a month one we come down. Please respond back if you are interested in spending two days with us on our boat. It will be my Wife and myself. Let us know and I’ll send you my email or cell number. Roy

is 1 1/4"" too big for pilchards?

    •  Před 2 lety

1/4 - 3/8" is a pilchard net. Anything larger will gill them unless you are catching monsters.

Super cool video dude. One question, you mentioned being in the national park. Is it ok to bait fish in the Everglades? I was under the impression you couldn't but I haven't really looked in it.

    •  Před 2 lety

You can baitfish in the National park. Commercial bait fisherman can not

Don’t take this the wrong way, but you know what would be amazing? If you show more of the surroundings, the equipment, the boat, the water, the fishing... and less of your face directly talking to us fishermen. I don’t think you’re the only one doing that though, it’s starting to become a trend... where youtuber fishermen spend half (or more) of the video just showing their faces. There’s no real reason why you guys should be talking all day directly to the camera, unless you wanna be known, popular, dunno... maybe you love yourself and you love seeing your face on cam. There’s also a trend of guys trying to be stand-up comedians??? That one is sad. It’s like catching fish isn’t good enough... or they scream and shout and act like absolute morons on camera... don’t they know we’re all fisherman watching you? And none of us who love the sport behave like that??? Imagine you go out to fish with an old captain, or you are fishing among old experienced fishermen... you would lose all respect in a heartbeat.
Sorry man that rant at the end wasn’t for you, it’s just frustrating for the fishermen who wants to find a sober channel where they focus solely on fishing and less on telling their personal issues, and telling about their lives and whatnots... and don’t get me started on female channels where the cover of the video it’s herself in bikini having her ass occupying half of the cover, and on the background maybe a fish? So disrespectful to the sport, but I’m gonna stop right here.

    •  Před 3 lety +3

Lol don’t worry. I didn’t take any of that the wrong way. What a great comment and spot on . I’ll def try to start doing some more further away shots. I’m only working with a handheld right now so it’s a little difficult. Slowly getting better at this. Great comment to use as reference for future videos. I’ll get better as I go! Thanks for watching !!
