@@coffeereactionYoko actually attended their live performance of this at one of their concerts last year and Forestella got to meet her backstage afterwards and were charmed by the fact that she was so youthful at the age of 60. They also did this in an episode of the Phantom Singer All Stars performance in 2021 and they included dancers they’d hired for the performance…a different dynamic again!
I almost missed watching Inner Universe's stage video on CZcams.
The company told me to delete it.
Then, the composer who saw this video liked it, so I was able to watch it.
He posted it on the composer's Instagram, came to the Forestella concert in person, watched it, and even sent a special gift.

I understand how you feel about Inner Universe because I felt the same way about Mama (by EXO) at first. I loved the original so much that I wasn’t sure of how much I liked them changing it up. But of course, after a few listens I love both versions ❤

How nice that you love the original and appreciate FORESTELLA's incredible achievement. YOKO KANNO herself is also fascinated by this version, attended one of FORESTELLA's concerts and expressly praised their performance. Of course the original sounds completely different. In the original electro sound is in the foreground (along with "Origa's" outstanding vocals), while in FORESTELLA's version the voices themselves create this fascinating sound. Through these uniquely intense vocals, the theme of the song is expressed particularly haunting, unlike the original. This rendition completely blew me away and is actually one of my favorite songs of theirs. (Btw, they actually sing in Russian - "Origa", also lived in Japan, but was actually Russian.)

I agree, these two performances one after the other... it's super odd ! "Inner" is probably the performance I hate the most out of everything Forestella has done in their entire career, and "Scarborough" my absolute favorite ever. How did they know ? And why did they do this to me ?
