I'm an architect and this movie portrays the discipline and the architect is such.. different light. There is so much more to architecture than dressing hipster and talking quotes and making flashy buildings. I hope we all soon get a movie that more closer to reality.

As a developer-builder who's worked with lots of architects, (and as a magazine writer who writes about architects), I found this movie to be HILARIOUS and spot-on! All the greatest lines are actual quotes from famous architects - especially Charles Deaton and his "Sculptured House". Add this to your list of favorite home building movies like "Money Pit", "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House", 1931s "Too Many Cooks" and Buster Keaton's 1920 silent classic "One Week".

It is just a story - a very satirical fiction! admittedly, not too far off our daily life as an architect! well, i assume the house was meant to be crap! You telling others what is bullshit or not comes pretty close to the architect's attitude in the film...

As an architect, this trailer makes me want to see the movie. From what I saw, it looks like a satire of how ordinary clients view architects, exaggerating our quirky faults and manors. If they made a movie about real architects it would be boring to most people. A recommended architect movie: Housesitter. Steve Martin plays a good architect.
If I were to hire an architect...& watched this movie plus I am a type of person who doesn't appreciate "art"... I would step back. I hope these would give a brighter and a more positive impact on architectural industry rather than what the story portrayed.

I dont know if anyone can tell, but apart from making fun of the architec, in a very stereotypical way, its also making fun of SANTIAGO CALATRAVA, im also an architec and i dont feel enthusiastic about this movie, we already have trouble getting to people, they dont need to be more afraid of us
I don't think the movie is LITERALLY about architects in general, but is about the supposedly "architect" guy in the movie, who ruins the couple's relationship. I really think it was a great movie with its concept, quite spicy.

are you or are you done ?. It is not an architectural documentary nor is it going to be exhibited at a biennial. I see that it is about the ideal of architecture taken to the extreme, it speaks of certain things but also of things pulled by the hair. after all, the architect is human and each mind is a world. It makes you think at least I found it entertaining.

i just watched the movie and i'm an architecture student and i can say that it has nothing to do with architects it's just offending them and the whole story is a bunch of non-sense architects don't think that way they don't act that way it's just so wrong...
