All Star Railfan Outing in Hudson Highlands. CSX, MN, Amtrak, and plenty of fire engines. 6/3/23

- Railfans and employee/railfans get together twice a year at Mine Dock Park and Metro North Manitou Station. We had a great time as CSX ran a decent number of freights plus the usual Metro North and Amtrak action at Manitou. A bit of Private Car madness and an unexpected barrage of fire trucks arriving from all over. We were trapped at Manitou by this red army of fire engines. All in all, a great time had by all!!!!!!

You know it's a passion when railroad employees still go out Railfanning. These guys are all awesome. Looks like you guys had a fun time. Both Mine Dock Park and Manitou and fantastic spots to hangout at around this time of year.

The Hudson Line videos are great! That was one heck of a combined FD response for sparks and I really enjoyed all the time you spent on that! This revealed how much mutual aid is needed between communities for fire protection these days. Small volunteer towns are short staffed too.

Tim i like the video of you and the flying Yankee and conductor Paul and everyone else had fun at mine dock Park and seeing the joker the Metro North engineer did the conductor Paul called Metro North and another conductor knows downtown if they follow that track and the conductor Paul will called them again

I'm sorry I should have rephrased that question. I did go on a Friday later on and caught "2 1/2" trains. A intermodal a mixed freight and a short local in a 2hr+ timespan. I should have asked if any day along with Friday had about the same frequency or better. Thanks for the quick reply.
Tim, this is one of my favorite videos you have posted in some time! It's good to see the other railroad VIPs with you interacting and providing additional commentary. Hopefully you can make this a regular thing!
Manitou was part of my territory as a signal man out of Poughkeepsie.
Looks like a wonderful day out with buddies. I figured that one railroader with the scanner, would've had a regular 2 way on him.
