Unkillable SS Panther Tank - Normandy 1944

In July 1944, during the Battle of Normandy, a controversial tank action took place outside the town of Saint Lo. Did a single Panther tank commanded by noted tank ace Ernst Barkmann take on and defeat a US armoured column containing 15 Sherman tanks?
