What baffles me is, the UK is the biggest exporter of legal medical cannabis in the world. 🤯 So it’s legal to sell to other countries but not to our own citizens. Hypocrites the lot of them.
I have a prescription for medical cannabis, I have a Sativa for daytime and an indica for evening/night both 20% THC, I get oil as well. You're correct that Britain exports most of the world's medical cannabis and I agree it's so hypocritical that it's not legal here, I wonder how many of the population know about the legal cannabis business in Britain, probably not a lot as it seems to be kept very quiet.
@youchewb405 Is it wrong for people to smoke it recreationally?
People confuse the weed you buy on the streets with medical cannabis, on the street you don't know what you are getting, medical is processed, and the helpful elements are whats prescribed.
@@BobRichards-zy5ke That’s not true. There’s actually very little difference between the two. Most medical cannabis is cured whereas most illegal cannabis isn’t cured. The biggest difference is in the legal side of things.
You can get a prescription in the UK today and buy medical cannabis that’s exactly the same as you buy from the streets. Obviously the illegal cannabis is mostly grown by some that don’t really know what they’re doing and can contain things you don’t know about.
@youchewb405 Most people that have mental health issues when smoking cannabis have had some sort of mental health issues before they began. You also have the facts that people who start to smoke at a young age are damaging their brain development which can cause mental health issues. This is another reason it should be legalised, it’ll make it harder for youths to get it.
Alcohol also causes these same problems.
Spending on alcohol in the NHS is more then all natural drugs combined. Should we make alcohol illegal?
I’d like to see stats for the amount of people that have had mental health issues without previously had no mental health issues. These figures are not out there and that’s probably because it’s very low. Most smokers here in the Uk use tobacco in their joints and this can also be a factor when having damage to your lungs.
Most people I know smoke cannabis, I’ve had one fried have serious mental health issues, most people I know drink beer, the amount of people I know that have had liver transplant or an alcoholic is well above 20.
Just in my family alone, there are 6 alcoholics and one who’s had a liver transplant. One other is not far off having a transplant, if they survive long enough.
Obviously anything you abuse will have bad effects on your body and brain.
Cannabis helps more people with mental health issues than cause them issues. Don’t believe what you’ve seen in the media over the decades because scientists have been debunking that for a while now.
Yet look at the drinking culture here in the UK. Alcohol is so much worse than weed
Drink corporations and bars would get shut down not something that the government would want
Weed actually ages your brain more than alcohol.

I’m not gonna lie when i was underage 15-17 in the UK, it was easier for me to get my hands on weed than alcohol or tobacco because you needed someone with an ID to purchase such things. At least if it was legalised kid’s wouldn’t get involved with a dealer at a young age who could be selling other drugs aswell as cannabis.
dealers use kids to deal lol
Dealers get advised that it’s ok to sell to you if your underage and you like smoking it, they don’t just sell to anyone, not all are desperate like that.. people make dealers sound worse than they really are and not all dealers sell the hard stuff. I asked my dealer when I was into cocaine had a depressive slip in my life but I stuck to cannabis but he don’t sell nothing apart from the best weed there is in the UK, which is good thing to because I didn’t want to hunt down someone else who would use me and call me to buy it rapidly those are the scum of the world you want to watch out for.
yeah that would happen back when i smoked and when you do a few deals the dealer starts asking if you've done coke or ecstasy and tries to sell you that instead...
@@JDGAF93 Thats true actually, they aren't all dicks but this is me speaking about some of my first dealers who were also just kids aswell.

Supporting the criminalisation of something that others want to do in their own home that doesn't affect you has got to be one of the weirdest human tendencies I've seen.
The behaviours induced by drug consumption extend beyond your household.
@@Lokigh Alcohol is legal, is it not? Alcohol has ruined countless lives of both its users and surrounding people. The same cannot be said about weed, at least not to that extent. Keeping weed illegal makes no sense unless the Government is part of a country that exports medical cannabis more than almost every other country... which is precisely what the UK does. Interesting.
@@zxr250I think the difference is for those who dont agree that weed should be legalised(I do) is more so we already have one drug that is accepted by society why would we allow another one to be normalised?
Just because being pissed out of your head is legal doesn't mean it's right just like alcohol being legal doesn't make it right to get high. Both have a horrible effect on society so if anything this argument does nothing but serve the point both should be illegalised.
@@SWAHswah-tm7sn "I think the difference is for those who dont agree that weed should be legalised(I do) is more so we already have one drug that is accepted by society why would we allow another one to be normalised?"
This is an entirely baseless argument. I could similarly say, we already have one sexuality normalized, so why should we normalize homosexuality? I'll tell you why, because it's no one's business what two consenting adults do with each other. Likewise, it's no one's business what anyone decides to do with or to their own body if it doesn't harm anyone.
"Just because being pissed out of your head is legal doesn't mean it's right just like alcohol being legal doesn't make it right to get high"
Huh?
"Both have a horrible effect on society so if anything this argument does nothing but serve the point both should be illegalised"
No, these drugs do not harm society at all. Certain users of said drugs harm society because they lack self control. Some people drive recklessly, should we therefore ban everyone from driving?

The thing about "being easily accessible" is ridiculous. In the UK, weed is insanely easy to find. Currently, it is actually easier for children to get it currently because dealers dont ID. Giving the market to criminals make it completely unregulated. Instead, lets regulate it, tax it and make sure it is clean and safe.
I choose not to break the law when in the UK, i live abroad where it is legal. I live in the UK and have been smoking weed everyday since 1987. I am also stoned right now. Many of my school friends who do not smoke it have passed away from cancer and other diseases, so saying it is bad for your health does net ring a bell to me, just living is bad for your health. No one should ever tell anyone what they can and cannot do to themselves, if you wish to smoke or jump out of a plane with a parachute, that choice should always be yours no matter how dangerous it is.
but its clearly damaging to the brain as youve just demonstrated in your ridiculous correlation between developing cancer and smoking weed
"Everyday we pay the price, we're the living sacrifice" - Bob Marley
And so the real question is, is there actually a war on drugs in this country if people like you and the many others who take drugs are able to do so without being ever being arrested?
Proud of you brother \o/
Yeah man, I'm 62 an go to work, see my daughter and grandkids, go home get stoned, watch something interesting, sleep, repeat. Health wise, backs fucked but nothing fatal. Free the weed.
The thing about weed in the UK is that practically everyone knows someone who smokes it (or does themselves - but then if you do it yourself, you definitely know a lot of people who do too lol). I've seen the good and bad of it, but honestly the bad parts of people smoking weed could easily be curbed by it being legal and people being able to seek help without anything happening to them legally. Portugal is a good case study for this.
What do you think happens if you seek help for cannabis? They don't prosecute or fine you, so what do you think they do to you legally?
@@your_local_reptile6700 Drug rehab. You'd be treated like an addict, not a criminal. As OP said, Portugal is a brillant country to get inspiration from. It's much easier to treat a person for addiction, than to treat somone who as an addiction as a criminal, that will most likely happen is relapse because of the lack of proper help/support.
@@your_local_reptile6700 I think it just being illegal worries people. Of course if you go to a hospital or therapist/psychiatrist etc and admit to using cannabis they have no legal obligation to inform anyone, but it being illegal definitely reduces the amount of people who would be open about it.
I went to Portugal and couldn’t find weed anywhere only hashish and even then it was pretty hard to find and the people were surprised to hear that me and my friends smoke weed
Can tell who has and hasn't been in these settings, in the UK the youth are the ones smoking it the most and selling it anyway. Legalising it would reduce crime, lower alcohol and benzo issues and would in my opinion slow down the street market because the smokers want a cleaner/better produced product
But smoking is less clean than vaping
@@steve00alt70 Not if, you smoke it neat. Vaping leaves fluid in the lungs. I grow totally organic and predominately use a bong.
My chest is fine. My missus vapes. She has a cough, whereas I don't. Not definitive I know but, I figure the fluid from vaping has to go somewhere.
Definitely.
They wouldn’t want to slow the amount of other things taken because they make billions off of them as well. Legalising it will not drop the use of other things because it’s so easy to get hold of now and many smoke it while drinking, legalisation won’t make a difference.
If you can drink booz we should be ok to smoke even getting a permit to grow your own
Love the two women talking about smoking hash. They both brought up skunk, which was the main street weed in the 2000's. Not really been much skunk for the last 10-15 years, as all this cali stuff is the trend now. Fair points from both though, if you didn't want strong weed, there was no option. We need the choice to find the things that work for each individual. Some would just like to relax and find a way to calm themselves down. Other's, like myself, seek the more stimulating strains. I have found that some really enhance my creativity, and the second I smoke, I find myself being much more motivated. However, there are many strains that do the complete opposite, and through the black market, it's nearly impossible to find the stuff that works for each individual.
The thing that baffles me is if it's too strong just use less. Like, you wouldn't drink a pint of vodka if you only wanted to get a little tipsy, so why complain about strong weed? Just make a smaller joint!
@@krytenfivetwothreep2485 I guess it's just that most of these people have had an experience where they use as much as they used to, and then greened out or something.

Skunk was loud, had all the cannabinoids in it and made you laugh at anything, sticky and got a fat bag of it for £20 stinking or oranges or something .
Missed out on the abundance of good hash though because I started in early 2000’s
There is a option if its really strong put less in or have a couple of draws on it and leave it for awhile another benefit of doing that is you dont spend as much money as you would buying weak stuff
Background on me: 34 years old, born and raised in the UK yet spent over 3 years living in America (with experience purchasing cannabis from a recreationally legal State), and currently in the UK settled back. I have been consuming cannabis for the past 17 years, first recreationally and now mostly medically.
I'm for legalisation, obviously, however there are many reasons that most people here fail to understand, that is with legalisation comes the opportunity for educating people about cannabis, rather than relying on the public to follow propaganda such as the 'skunk' argument.
In regards to the propaganda term "Skunk": there was no 'super strain' of weed, there never was. Every cultivar of cannabis has different attributes, from the rounded nugs of a genuine OG Kush lineage, to the long spears on a Neville's Haze to the very effects of the flowers that are smoked/vaped/etc.
The biggest issue is when the Skunk cultivar was popular to growers, for attributes such as natural mould and pest resistance (great breeding stock for that), the effects produced were less than favourable to other people. The people who found the effects less than favourable thought 'oh there is suddenly a new type of weed' that is causing these effects, when in reality there is an almost infinite number of possibilities for variations within Cannabis that we are still finding today, and with a dealer you're usually only offered one or two of them.
This issue is greatly mitigated when you can find a great array of different cultivars/strains to choose from, alongside genuine lab tests to verify varying levels of THC content.
If you're the person who doesn't bode well with a high THC strain, in a legal market there are a multitude of low THC options available. Want a 1:1 THC:CBD strain? Easily found, in fact some dispensaries in the local area may even deliver.
I hope one day people realise that a lot of the issues they have, with Cannabis, come directly as a result of it being illegal. And let's be honest, having them treated like alcohol and/or tobacco makes sense for a very good reason: to protect the youth.
Kids have always been curious about substances, let us be honest here in that the only difference in our attitudes is that them sneaking in a bottle or two of alcohol is 'meant to be considered normal' for a young person. Alcohol kills, cigarettes kill, but cannabis? Cannabis hasn't had one single death attributed to cannabis alone in the entire (over 5,000 years) of recorded history of consumption. I'd be much more comfortable knowing that cannabis is more of an option for their curiosities than something much more dangerous and deadly.
Why write such a long comment? Nobody cares.
thank you for this comment. the skunk argument really annoys me as the cannabis now is no stronger than it ever has been however the quality does tend to be better. cannabis should be legal as the arguments for it far outweigh the arguments against.

It does not allow open markets to freely form from home growers being able to grow and sell cannabis just like tomatoes, it does not allow for people to grow in their homes without being frightened of being raided. I smoked from about the age of 14 to 19. Then one day, in the middle of a session with some "friends" I decided that I didn't like them anymore and told them to leave. I basically never touched it again after that. I did find that I became a lot more productive with my life.
Ironically, I have noticed over the last 2 or 3 years I've replaced that addiction with my phone instead. So take from that what you will.
I do think if it was legalised and regulated that we would have a healthier relationship with weed as a country though, there wouldn't be gangs taking over houses to turn them into farms, the tax money could go back into local services and we would probably (hopefully) be happier and less violent on a night out.
I think the benefits of legalised weed will outshine the risk.

Yeah the government will profit extortionately but overall I think the people who need it most will be willing to pay the unreasonable tax for their health/sleep/anxiety/wellbeing/life.
Idk but I feel legalisation is the first step… hopefully a fairer market/prices will follow
That's good for you bro but a lot of people will and do experience the complete opposite. I smoke from time to time and don't think it should ever be legal in the UK, especially how the country's going right now it would be the worst thing they could do lol. The way it ages your brain is dangerous and the research is still inconclusive despite people believing there are no harms that come with it.
It does the opposite for me. I get crazy anxiety and paranoia from just a few tokes.. Guess everyone's different..
@@chrissmith841 Initial paranoia and anxiety is extremely common when smoking weed, I often get it but I find it only lasts between 20-40 minutes before I get the benefits.
i think a perspective that most people haven’t heard is that because purchasing weed is currently illegal, it’s very common that most dealers have other more harmful drugs because weed isn’t good for profit margins so they usually sell coke on the side and since they’ve already broken the law to get a harmless drug they’re more likely to try actual dangerous and addictive drugs on the side and the buyer doesn’t see a problem since they’ve already crossed that line. decriminalisation is a minimum at this point in time.
Everyone seems to focus on whether smoking weed is good or bad for an individual. But that’s not the question, the question is ‘should it be legal?’ and when you look at the effects of prohibition the answer is ‘definitely not, prohibition makes everything worse’
For example the girl who said legalising it would make it easier for kids to obtain, is completely wrong and got it backwards. A 13yo can get weed far more easily than alcohol, because they can just go out n buy weed anytime they want from some lil roadman. But if a 13yo wants alcohol they either have to steal it or get an irresponsible adult to buy it for them.
Prohibition makes it easier for kids to obtain, it puts millions of pounds in to the hands of criminal organisations, wastes police time and resources…. The list goes on!
BANG ON !!

I have mixed opinions on this.
On the one hand...
- Police recourses wouldn't be wasted on it.
- Regulations would allow people to fully know the ingredients of their joints
- It does have certain medicinal benefits.
On the other hand...
- It can have a negative impact on mental health
- Smoking is just bad for your lungs
- It fucking stinks
Overall the benefits outweigh the negatives, but there are negatives.
So on the negatives, the mental health impact is high risk for young people, and almost negligible for those with fully developed brains. Legalisation would mean regulation that helps prevent young people from obtaining it.
The lung health impact is valid, but there are other ways to consume it, tobacco is worse, and what other people put in their lungs is their choice to make.
The smell is not a good justification for prohibition, fags smell worse, spilled beer that's gone stale smells worse, burst sewer pipes smell worse, there's always going to be something that smells bad, I'll take weed smoke over stale beer any day.
There are positives that it seems you're unaware of.
Great video Arnaud!
I'm curious though, everyone who says it shouldn't be legal, mention smoking the herb.
What about vaporization or oils? I noticed that no one mentioned that - and we all know smoking anything jsut isn't good for our lungs.
Especially when it's an unfiltered, super-heated plant matter inhaled directly into the lungs... given that cannabis burns at a higher temperature than tobacco due to the tri-chomes covering the wonder-plant.
I'm FOR legalization, but also for Education!

I love how it's all the people who haven't smoked it are the ones who say it's dangerous. They honestly haven't got a clue 😂
as a somewhat "young" 26 year old guy from sheffield who has been perscribed medical cannabis i find some of these views odd, especially coming from the younger uni students etc. i personally have been able to get medical candabis products prescribed to me through the various private clinics around the UK, but as one person mentioned in the video it is so very expencive to fill these perscriptions and pay the fees for monthly appointments with the perscribing doctors,so i decided to get mine from elsewhere making it cheaper and giving me the ability to continue using medicainally, using a vaporisor as outlined in the medical cannabis regulations. i do agree with the sentiment that legalising could put more youth as risk of abbuse but i think this can be highly reduced by proper regulation, as someone in the comments said, it was always easier to get weed from a dealer when you where young but much harder to get tobacco or alcohol from a normal shop as it required ID. i do believe it should be legalised but with proper regulation which hopefully will not cause the price to rise too much and still allow people with less income to access it
Love to see people giving solid opinions on things they haven't a clue about! "It will put strain on the NHS" absolute load of rubbish
Who do you think fills out the mental health wards? Weed smokers, that's who. £650 a day per patient. And Schizophrenia lasts for life. Well, most don't live past 50.

It's been legal in UK since 2018 you can pay for a prescription with Lyphe clinic or sapphire medical or couple other suppliers
I've been reading the comments wondering how people still dont realize this 🤦♂️
Mainly listened to this while I worked. Looked up at minute 7 and realized the whole video was filmed in my city, even my old uni! Good Video and I hope you liked Sheffield Arnaud. And I believe weed should be legal yes. I agree with a lot of the comments on the current strength of weed, also with weed being a bioaccumulator, government regulation and distribution would protect current and future smokers from high strength THC weed and the growth chemicals/pesticides accumulated
I think it's bad if it's legal because the youth will be able to get hold of it 😅 😂
Not many braincells went into that one, does she think they're gonna sell it to kids?

It's already legal, you just have to get a prescription from a private doctor. Prices per gram are similar ounce prices per gram
You're acting like most dopey potheads want it for medicinal reasons. Who are you kidding?
Get the Canada stuff £2.50 a gram
legalising it means we can get better quality , it'll create tons of new business owners , i stopped buying from illegal sources and only buy HHC/CBD strains which are surprisingly good , not as strong but strong enough to get all the good effects , great vid showing different views
The great part of legalization is the selection, if somebody wants something less strong they can opt for a CBD dominant strain with low or no THC, or some 30%+ strength THC flower from the same shop with all of the percentages listed on the menu.
Why don't the police focus on real criminals like murderers and rapists not someone that wants to help them selves medically
There is no big incentive for the police to catch a murderer or a rapist.
the police are to busy protecting the carbon protester on the motor ways and retards with rainbow flags that's way mate
Because there would be no police left.
If you need it for medical reasons you can already see your doctor for this…….so the reason to legalise?
@@Mr_Ashley coz not everyone wants to go see a doctor so it would be easier to just buy it if it was legalised
Somebody get that lady a z of Lebanese hash 😂
As someone who has smoked it, given up, smoked it and given up again a month ago i stand by - i have never met anyone who has been better off as a stoner. People use things as an excuse and an escape and i get that seriously ill people just want to forget their pain/issues but i dont see thst legalization is thr answer. Booze is shit, cigs are shit, get your lives together, dont normalise being fucked up, all they will do is tax the fuck out of it and probably make it more shit by regulating the shit out of it
The older people in this video speak sense.
I used to smoke it morning to night everyday, and I still held down jobs fine.
The old resin (hash) was great in the 80's and even early 90's but it started to become really bad, and was mixed with all sorts of crap. It was called soap bar in the end, all the same and all shit.
Back in the 80's if you just wanted a relaxing and mild feeling, then slate (Lebanese) was ideal, a nice fruity flavoured, light head buzz. It came in very thin bars (hence the slate name), and fluffed up when it was put to a flame. Thai sticks were similar, they looked like dog chews, and fluffed up, with a fruity and mild buzz.
For something a but stronger, party gear, maybe rocky (Morrocan) which was slightly harsher taste, and heavier buzz. This crumbled like sand when burned.
The heaviest was Gold Seal, which was a squidgy black, very soft, very oily, and the smoke was thick. This was a shut your eyes type buzz.
The oldies in this video are correct, the strong weed now just renders you useless, and it's too much for people who just want an enjoyable mild buzz.
Yeah, slate, leb, gold seal, red seal, Nepalese, pollen.
Kids will find it more accessible 😂😂 its a phone call away along with other every other drug you can think of. I can get a drop off faster than i can get a delivery of just eat like everyone else can
“Skunk stuff” is the most common thing someone says when they know nothing about the weed today. Absolutely clueless.
🤣 defo up there with "whacky backy"
Yeah but that was the generic name for hydro grown weed for ages. That generation mainly stopped smoking before it became available and were told horror stories about skunk
@@MrDanga yup. They’re completely clueless.

I don’t smoke it anymore but I still want it to be legalised. Nowadays I just drink alcohol once a week and occasionally dabble in psychedelics or mdma once every 3 months
If Jesus turned tobacco in weed, they would turn wine illegal. 😂
Just think on the tax money that could be pumped back into the NHS
Good job brother 🎉
It’s way easier to get (illegal) weed for a teenager in my opinion. As an adult I never really find myself being around weed. For people who smoke as adults and want to get good, safe, well sourced/grown weed I think it should be legal. It’s legal everywhere else may as well open some jobs up and make some money for the economy.
Medicine stimulants or drugs depending on how you look at it is only allowed if it doesn't threaten the security of the state. The main concern about legalising weed is that somehow everyone may suddenly turn into free thinking anarchists which is why booze is such a great drug as most people sober up and cant remember anything whereas weed opens your mind a bit.
no one is going to turn into a free thinking anarchist because they get stoned sometimes, weed is just as good at shutting the poor people up as alcohol
This is why psychs are illegal
@@basedgod6016 Cant agree with that at all. The buzz is completely different, Weed is much more clean, you have interesting thoughts and as OP said, it opens your mind.
Not to mention that stoned people arent going to fight or cause issues, like drunk people do.
That is absolutely not the reason why it isn't legal. The "main concern" is that it makes people dumber, less productive, and smell like shit. Not to mention the suite of health issues that come from smoking anything and holding the smoke deep within your lungs. A nation of stinking, wheezing junkies is not one that anyone wants.
Most of the illegal drug trade in the UK is weed so if it was legalized it would lower the crime rate, help the economy by allowing dispensaries to open up and create a whole new industry of employment and also offer more wide spread medical treatment alternatives for a wide range of health conditions
only if priced right or the dealers will just carry on.
Your average person dosent mind paying more to do so the legal way, otherwise netflix would have lost to competition from piracy sites long ago@@rotenstonew3845
I can't stand regular smokers and vapers blowing it in my face as I walk past. I don't want weed being blown in my face to. Do what you want in private but not in public.
Legalisation of weed just makes it a harder to access the plant. It means large big pharma agencies from the US can start sister companies in the UK, have tory lords and politicians sit as investors on the board of directors, and run a cannabis monopoly in the UK. It does not allow open markets to freely form from home growers being able to grow and sell cannabis just like tomatoes, it does not allow for people to grow in their homes without being frightened of being raided. wow I cant believe you found that many people in the uk who disagreed with it. I think the main reason to legalise it is that being illegal is just no barrier to getting it. everyone knows someone who can get weed if they want it
should be decriminalized, i think people getting arrested for smoking it recreationally is silly. in my opinion its no different to getting home and having a few beers
the weed in UK is not real weed though. Its the most shittiest and the most harmful version of weed one can find.

BS... 😂
But there's not just one version of weed in the uk.
The argument of "oh, if weed was legal then lots of kids would go round smoking it" is so f*cking dumb 😂😂 . First of all, lots of kids are already smoking it. And secondly, the reason why they are smoking it is because alot of smaller dealers see younger people as great customers because they can charge more on the bud, and probably under weigh them as well, so overall they make more profit. If weed was legal, it would make no difference whatsoever to kids being able to access it.

Except for when they get Schizophrenia and their life is in the bin. That's what difference it makes. By the way 17 years working on psychiatric wards with thousands of tormented weed smokers.
@@limpethead and you think that those people only smoked weed and did nothing else? My self and multiple other people in my friend group have been smoking weed since 12-14 years of age and we are all fine. No schizophrenia, no "life down the bin", were all doing great with our lives. I got 3 A's, 4 B's and the rest C's in my GCSES all whilst being completely stoned and I have a great job. But you completely disregarded the entire point of my argument. I'm saying that legalising cannabis will make no difference to kids being able to access it because it won't, it is already easily accessible to kids, the legalization part makes no difference to that matter. I'm not saying "oh it's fine for kids to smoke weed" re-read my original comment. 😂🤦
@@limpethead and it also means that the cannabis will be much more regulated so everyone knows exactly what they are smoking and putting into their bodies, because with weed being illegal, no one knows what is being given to the plants and ultimately inhaled into people's lungs. It will make cannabis consumption alot lot safer. And it also means that people like myself who enjoy cannabis, won't have to be constantly harassed and bullied by police. It's just absolutely ludicrous that cannabis is considered a class B drug, in the same class as speed, ketamine, spice and other amphetamines.
@mr.f_dnb glad to hear it. I'm no angel either. Now your experience might be lucky. But if you walked into my world in 2 minutes flat you would change your mind. Its always weed. A big surprise for all the family. " how can it be weed! We all smoke it!". Well it is, and it always is.
the guy in the cap and glasses at the beginning of the movie is a legend
I find it interesting that all who said they think it shouldn’t be legalised focused mostly on the stigma’s around it for their reasonings and yet not a single one of them has ever tried it in their life and yet there were a mix of people who had and hadn’t tried it/actively use it or not and while they didn’t deny the stigmatised claims that have been drastically over exaggerated in media they also brought up the benefits of it
I have smoked high potency weed every day for 28 years. My life is awesome 😊
It’s legalized in my state
really? Which state are you from?
I love your content
Thank you! 😄
I have been smoking weed since I started uni in 2018. People claim that weed has adverse or negative effects on mental health/mental function.... I am now a synthetic chemist in the research field doing a phd. Weed doesn't make you dumber. It doesn't make you less able. It DOES, however, make you less productive, so it needs to be consumed in moderation, just like anything else. Legalise it.
People that go on about kids doing it well they still do but have to go to a criminal to get it which can be dangerous for several reasons so legalising it would make it a safer drug as no contamination and not dealing with the criminal themselves that also might try ti get you on to other drugs
The cannabis trade in the USA is worth nearly a trillion dollars now….
That’s complete and utter bullshit. The cannabis trade in the USA is worth nowhere near a trillion. Where did you pluck that number from?
It’s estimated to be worth around $16bn and will be worth around $40bn by 2030. The global illegal drug trade is only worth about $700bn a year.
I'm a Kandahar Black purist myself, nothing else will do!
Medical cannabis my friend not religious cannabis
Whenever the political situation gets dodgy in this country this conversation gomes up. I am old enough to remember the Wooton (?)report.
The only reason I don’t think it should be legal is because of how terrible it smells. Absolutely stinks for a 30m radius around anyone who smokes it. I went to New York and the whole city stank of it, and I just really do not want that for the UK.
Tobacco's legal and smells substantially worse. Beer's legal, and makes a place unbearable when someone spills it and it dries up and goes stale. No matter what, there's always gonna be stuff in the country that people don't like the smell of. Grow a fucking spine.
The lack of common knowledge from the public is just embarrassing 🤦🏼
Girl at the end.. its already so easy for the youth to get hold of weed anyway so why not just legalise it and let everyone do there own fing
aye, dispensaries would id ppl, most dealers don't give a shit about age.
U can make so many things with hemp itself if u look up a list of what can be made of hemp.. then u have the medicinal side aswell look at the list there aswell..on how it can help multiple illnessess
One of the reasons why it's illegal. Why on earth people who already own and profit from companies that import or export materials used in the manufacturing process would step on their own profits by letting competitive businesses in?
FYI medical cannabis in the UK is available for people with depression, anxiety, ptsd and many other common conditions.
You have to get prescribed from a private clinic. Many people think only people with epilepsy or MS can get medical cannabis but thats just the NHS. Through private clinics its easy for most people with common conditions to get prescriptions.
He should have educated some of these people and people thinking it would be easier for young people to get it if it was legal is ridiculous
it would be as easy as it it is to get alcohol is now
@gregprocter765 yeah and that isn't as easy as buying illegal drugs underage
The 'skunk' propaganda again, hash tends to be far stronger than bud and is less natural as bud is literally just the plants flower where as hash needs to be extracted through different steps.
do you know how hash is made? let me enlighten you, first you pluck a mature flower then place it between your two palms and roll it back and forth, the resin from the flower will stick to your hands and after doing this many times it will build up to a thick coating, you then scrape that from your hands and it is pressed into blocks, it is very labor intensive. the strength of the hash is directly proportional to the strength of the plant you started with. If you are extracting the oil that is a process of many steps, the key step is to heat it before extraction this breaks the molecules so it becomes able to attach itself to the receptors in your brain, this is important if you intend to ingest it.
@@chrisharris1522 you are not 'enlightening' anyone genius, that is one way of making hash or (temple balls as the method you described.)
Enlighten yourself and do a little research into the thc content in hash compared with flower. I have been growing bud and making hash for years and certainly don't do it the temple ball method, also I been smoking since the 90's I was in amsterdam when you were probably in your dad's ball sack.
Yes it should and the government should tax it and help the economy. It’s already legal medicinally and I believe they should go down the Spanish and Portuguese root of legalisation. It’s very good for pain and insomnia.
“I’m stoned right now”😂
Yes it is a harmless drug.I smoke it and wouldnt function without it.
If you can't function without then you my friend are mentally addicted to it I say mentally because weed is not physically addictive you won't rattle without it like you would with hard drugs
Alcohol, cig, vapes are legal but weed is where they draw the line. Its stupid
I am suprised that also nobody mentions or thinks that it would be good to counter the black market behind it
No one mentioned the multi multi multi million £ the economy would benefit from the taxing of it, i’d gladly pay 20% on top.
It seems strange that something so common, so safe and so praised for its medicinal use would be illegal. Legalising marijuana would be of so much help to so many people, including lightening the load on the police who wouldn’t have to waste their time with weed-related crime. US states like Colorado had an enormous boost in tax revenue. The only problem would be people smoking it all the time in public places, but we might be able to introduce spot fines for that.
Ultimately the only case against legalising it is that it’s always been illegal, which is a pretty bad case.
It needs to be legalised so we can choose the strength and effects that we want. I want some good quality hash, but can only get strong skunk. It's like I want to have a beer, but forced to drink vodka.
Watching this while smoking a joint on my lunch break 😂
Watch out this guys solid🥱🥱
wouldn't mind if it was legalised, it smells lovely
"she has an autocratic hip" way to go bro. I have an autocratic hip me self!
I find it funny that people can be against it as it will be "more accessible"
It is easily accessible now and even more so for teenagers than if it were legal. Alcohol is legal but I dont walk round drunk 24/7. If someone wants to be constantly high they will do it regardless of legality
Love your accent bro
Thanks really appreciate it!
I'd be interested to know how legalisation, with a minimum age requirement obviously, would actually affect recreational use in younger audiences. Currently any dealer can sell to any age because it's just blanket illegal, no matter your age. Sure, some dealers have morals and wouldn't sell to children but they're also not trained on how to identify someone pretending to be older than they are and they can't use the law to back them up since supply of cannabis is a crime. I think personally that the consumption in children and teens would go down, but maybe I'm not considering other important factors.
Dont have a clue the resin the the trichomes (crystal) which is very potent.
As my cousin often says if you had a room with 100 drunk people there’s going to be fights and people arguing
If you get 100 stoned people in a room they’ll watch the big lez show and have fun without fights or aggression
If alcohol and tobacco is legal then weed should be legal
Hash/resin/black is still available in a few places, but most of it is horrible and referred to as lung dung, at least you know what's in a plant. Recreational use should be legal in your own home and certain permitted premises
Whats insane is we are one of the world top growers on medical grade cannabis, but it makes GSK more money to export it than it would to push for legalisation within the UK. Last push in the house of commons for just the discussion about legalisation was quashed by the then PM Teresa May who's husband just happens to be on the board of directs for GSK. The tax revenue alone the Government to make from legalisation would dwarf what they make on alcohol and could cover a few chancellors "forgetting" to pay their taxes.
