You could'nt be more wrong. Envy and Angela had decades in the industry, their connections bring in the big names who are terrified of charlamagne's questions
michealterrific ES is dj aks show you delusional af if u think otherwise I would say 85% of the ppl that click on tht show are watching just for AK which is why you scroll down to the comments & it's filled with Akademic dick riders
having a bunch of dick riders show up doesnt mean it's Ak's show. Just as many people show up just to talk shit about Joe-which is another way of bringing in viewers. At best, i would say it's a 60/40 relationship in favor of Joe.
Everybody gettin on Yee for bringing up Kodak Black but Malcolm got to the heart of the question without a problem so... He didn't have to know who Kodak was to address the deeper issue of racial preference.
Omg he's back!!!!! Breakfast Club is really really stepping it up. Let me run over and listen to his podcasts. I really didn't know it was back. Love you Malcolm, God bless you!!!!!!
As a mom who is usually driving 3 kids i would not stop. im the type of good samaritan that pays it forward. i dont even want anybody to stop and help me on the side of the road.
That's fine if you don't stop and it's logically sound not to stop for strangers for many reasons. I'm curious how would you pay it forward; to another individual in a different situation?
I remember when I was 13 and I had an asthma attack while running with my church. And they had to put me in the car with a random person to go back to the church. My mom was so mad afterwards but also grateful. This podcast just made me remember that.
ADAJ3 My great grandmother was mixed, she used to look white when she was young in old photos, but when I knew her as an old lady she looked just like a black woman. The reverse can happen as well. I knew a kid who looked mixed as a little kid by looked black as he got older. Basically mixed peoples hair texture can change, facial features can change to make them look more mixed or look more like one race over the other with age.
Good morning my African brothers and sisters. I hope you have a great day and stay blessed. keep you head up and stay strong only we can control our destiny.
I am soooo happy to have stumbled on this radio show some years ago. The collection of guests range from the widely eclectic to what's happening in hip hop culture. This conversation introduced me to Malcolm Gladwell and I'm excited to read his book(s) and listen to his podcast... extremely insightful.
Vanessa all of us "manipulate" to a certain degree; through emotional persuasion to achieve goals. It's up to us to decide if we do so for good or evil. Working in Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Entertainment, etc., are all prime examples of this.
Bless Up My point stands. Manipulation is negative, no matter how you attempt to justify it. There's persuasion, coercion, and influence, which can all be executed and applied with the other partys' knowledge whereas, manipulation involves the application of all of the above covertly which is deception at its finest.
Malcolm makes a great point here. Empathy is deepened by our difficult experiences. Its as simple as not wanting someone to experience a pain or difficulty you have known personally. Many of our outcasts are the unknown saviors crucified on the daily. Those sammaritans strong or lucky enough to not let there issues, circumstances and other peoples judgments make them bitter and resentful become wounded healers able to truly empathize with another's plight.I definetly don't think pain is a prerequisite to empathy but I do think it can deepen and cultivate it.
To have the two authors I read back to back talking to each other. Nice. I read Malcolm’s book to understand success and Charlemagne’s for how to create success for myself. I recommend them.
I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. Great discussion. I'm looking at the contents of the room -- fully stocked bar, action figures, rubber mask. These guys must have huge fun together.
So glad he came on the Breakfast Club to tell us about his podcast because, I wouldn't have known at all. We are so over saturated with so many things and there is so little time to explore it all.
I had a situation where I was a couple miles from my car bc the bus stopped running. I was walking and it was ~10pm. A couple saw me and noticed a strange man walking behind and street lights were flickering. they offered me a ride and I took it. I never took a ride from anyone but I'm forever grateful and bc of those ppl I find opportunities to pay it forward. it is hard to trust ppl though..
I'm excited about Gladwell's new book... it makes sense. Uh hello?!?! We are living/transitioning to a sharing economy where we are intentionally and consciously interacting with strangers more frequently. And Charlamagne response to the question about his book: man, he was not expecting such a vulnerable question. It was refreshing to see him trip up like that.....very human. Wish the interview was longer.
The problem is really that Kodak has a preference for non-dark skinned women, the problem is that he associates negativity with dark skinned women. The comments he made were explicitly stating that he viewed dark skinned women as too violent and too hood. It's weird that people who complain about Kodak's comments leave out the most repulsive part of what he said.
dark skin woman all around the world should rejoice that Kodak black doesn't find them attractive lol. he is doing all my beautiful black queens a favor haha
I don't know where y'all live or what school y'all went to but who really is checking for the gremlin. Not I. When a GROWN man says "I hate being black, I hate my dark skin" everything after don't really matter. Why would anyone want to be like or listen to some one or something so hateful. As far as I'm concerned that's one less hateful entity I have checking for me.
Envy: "So can you explain what a podcast is for the people at home who might not know?" Angela yee: "I actually have a podcast too and its called Lip service. Its basically me and my girlfriends being thots!!"
loved the interview. i have read all his books. Gladwell is a true gift. waiting for you guys to interview Eric Thomas, or bring him onto brilliant idiots. that man is the truth.
people on here critical of Angela for bringing up Kodack, but honestly I thought it was a good question to ask Malcolm. His response was really interesting and Malcolm isn't some pretentious academic, he really is a man of the people so he takes questions from all walks of life seriously.
Don't yall forget that CHARLAMAGNE is the one that pulls most of these all-star guests. Respek the plug
Fax
I think thats why out of the 3 Angela aint shit. She doesn't hang around successful people like charlamange or even envy
You could'nt be more wrong. Envy and Angela had decades in the industry, their connections bring in the big names who are terrified of charlamagne's questions
chillhomie7 lol. im shore she knows successful people.
John Watson, Jr. Nigga what ? You're "shore" 😂😂😂😂
If Charlamagne ever leaves the breakfast club is screwed.
Stanley Dunbar Jr. please don't let that ever be
Stanley Dunbar Jr. facts
Johnny Johnson ES is pretty much the JB podcast with structure. He made Rory and Mal decent co-hosts,he could do it again.
michealterrific ES is dj aks show you delusional af if u think otherwise I would say 85% of the ppl that click on tht show are watching just for AK which is why you scroll down to the comments & it's filled with Akademic dick riders

Malcolm had a good flow going and here come Angela asking about fucking Kodak Black smh... 🤦🏿♂️
Charles Culler you don't shake your head you goofy
Charles Culler she doesn't know how to pose a question. She always asks them awkwardly
She's trash
I think she was high. Yeah I thought that question was out the blue.
Yeah smh
y'all really do need to listen to malcolm's new podcast, it's amazing.
He low-key a funny guy. His podcast are very informative. A true Revisionist.
Totally agree!! Good point
What platform are Malcolm’s podcasts on?
Gretchen Morris ITunes, SoundCloud
Clearly Chalamagne is the only one who’s read Gladwell’s books
Wrong...
Bingo ... Charlemagne is beginning to respect his craft
Marc Edmond shameproject.com/profile/malcolm-gladwell-2/
this is why Hot 97 can't compete w/ breakfast club they do interviews that are informative
BTSdivision And no Ebro
I love the diverse content the Breakfast Club offers. Keep it going! :)
Everybody gettin on Yee for bringing up Kodak Black but Malcolm got to the heart of the question without a problem so... He didn't have to know who Kodak was to address the deeper issue of racial preference.
ChrisJ Fox Exactly. People on here just hate Angela because she's a smart, successful woman. She's very necessary to the BC. They all are. 🙏🏽
Omg he's back!!!!! Breakfast Club is really really stepping it up. Let me run over and listen to his podcasts. I really didn't know it was back. Love you Malcolm, God bless you!!!!!!
"I didn't want to be the one to teach her to not trust the world." This man is extremely wise, thank you breakfast club for this guest.
Michael S Shout out to that girl who picked him up. Reminds me of the book When God Winks by Squire Rushnell. It's a quick read...
As a mom who is usually driving 3 kids i would not stop. im the type of good samaritan that pays it forward. i dont even want anybody to stop and help me on the side of the road.
I'll check that out this summer. THanks Hamza.

This is how Logic will look in 40 years!
Anton Lane Logic doesn't have course hair and he's lighter than Malcolm.
ADAJ3

Love you Malcolm Gladwell! Always true to your blackness!!
I am soooo happy to have stumbled on this radio show some years ago. The collection of guests range from the widely eclectic to what's happening in hip hop culture. This conversation introduced me to Malcolm Gladwell and I'm excited to read his book(s) and listen to his podcast... extremely insightful.
Why would you discuss Kodack with an intellectual?
Chauntrell Wright huh durrr..
SFREEMUSIC1 I think for the dummies' who listen. They need another perspective.
SFREEMUSIC1 its almost an insult to his intellect
I don't even know who that is.
Why not
*2017* "What if Lebron goes to the Lakers?" Malcolm is a genius
hitting ya up from JAMAICA RIGHT NOW! love THE TBC
I could listen to this conversation all day. Excellent.
If y'all haven't, DEFINITELY check out the Tipping Point. It came out some time ago, nonetheless it's a GREAT book!
Bless Up It definitely had an impact on Hip Hop since The Roots named an early album after the book was released.
Hamza Davis for sure. It definitely impacted me a great deal as well!
Bless Up It's just a book teaching people how to be manipulative.
Vanessa all of us "manipulate" to a certain degree; through emotional persuasion to achieve goals. It's up to us to decide if we do so for good or evil. Working in Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Entertainment, etc., are all prime examples of this.

Great guest. Great convo! Keep up the great work BC!
Interviews back to back...ok Breakfast Club
I ran into Malcolm Gladwell in Brooklyn not too long ago. Such a humble guy! He's brilliant and one of the most inspiring thinkers of our time.
I read some of his essays back in college. He left a lasting impression on me
YES!!! Back again!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Malcolm make 🇨🇦 look good. So reserved and professional. Peace King 👑!

Good interview. Its many reason ppl don't trust strangers being taking advantage of is one the main reasons.

I used to frequent U of T in 1985-86. I love you Malcolm.
So glad he came on the Breakfast Club to tell us about his podcast because, I wouldn't have known at all. We are so over saturated with so many things and there is so little time to explore it all.

Malcolm Gladwell pure genius and knowledge for all 😊☺
I'm excited about Gladwell's new book... it makes sense. Uh hello?!?! We are living/transitioning to a sharing economy where we are intentionally and consciously interacting with strangers more frequently.

DJ Envy: For those who don't know tell us what a golf course is.
There's nothing wrong w/ having a preference but using that preference to belittle women of a darker complexion is a big fucking no no.
John Berry no one cares obviously obvious white dude
Especially when YOURE as BLACK as the woman you're talking about!
“Use your instincts only in things that you have experience in”
Love his voice
Was a good interview. Good perspective. Lol @ "i'm Canadian"
The breakfast club been having some amazing guests lately , learning so much from these interviews
