WAI No Comment Episode 167
Great job WAI, another amazing video!
From an outsider (not USA) looking 'in' watching this presentation in full i was amazed at the footprint that SpaceX development has within Boca Chica which in my opinion is "Tiny" given or what appears to be the area of the surrounding landscape!
The aerial view indicates the size of the National Park is in fact MASSIVE........
Just my opinion.
Look on Google maps for Merrit Island Florida, which is also a National Park - and big. You might spot in the north the Kennedy Space Center. Europeans have little idea how massive the USA is.
i like this music - calming and exciting too!
Well done!!!
At: 1:20 ship #30 looks a giant thermos mug. Nice looking finish on the tiles and contrast with the stainless steel.
Still seams so odd to me that the orbital part of the ship is tested on a sub- orbital pad, and the sub-orbital portion is tested on the orbital pad. ?
The safety of the public and the protection of the environment is the FAA first and upmost priority and not a companies personal milestone. Spacex has done a extraordinary job , repairing the orbital launch mount and it's site ,the upgraded water deluge system a magnificent accomplishment in such a short period of time, you have to calculate using more powerful engines into the equation,( here's one of the main catch 22's so to speak) with the FAA and their licensing for the STARSHIP I have studied video's and comments for hours and days. SPACEX stated after the first orbital launch attempt that for a few sec. they (LOST CONTROL)of the STARSHIP we must prove without any doubt that we have (FULL CONTROL) of the vessel. DDM
I always worry about the amount of money and time that SpaceX has invested on Star base. The water table is so high that a hurricane could flood everything. And they are right on the edge of the sea.
Same does the rust on Starhopper.
I hate that they still use scaffolding within the bays...
I'd like to know when they will start the build of the wider diameter ships. 18 meter.
Not anytime soon. Let them first complete the Starship (9m diam.) development first! :)
They need it very much for Starlink V2 mass deployment, which is needed for revenue (to put it into the Earth-Mars project).
After Starships will land regularly (in every launch window) on Mars, perhaps then.
Nice video, doesn't tell me alot ,but nice video
This is stupid no other space company in America can or is launching astronauts too international space station. And faa concerned about safety. What do they know?
Turn volume all the way down only can watch then sorry no like
Space X ought to do something about the wrinkled tanks. They make the place look dilapidated.
It's just an outer cover.... but yeah...
