Big Boar at 2022 Iowa State Fair

Pee-Wee, the 6-year-old Hereford owned by Marv Rietema and Owen Sandbulte of Sioux Center, won first place in the Big Boar Contest judged Thursday, Aug. 11, at the 2022 Iowa State Fair. He tipped the scales at 1,300 pounds.
Purdy Boy, the 6-year-old Chester crossbreed shown by the Purdy Boy Partnership of Pleasant Hill, earned second place. He weighed in at 1,156 pounds.
