I can see how people get confused. I just started semaglutide (.25) but 6 years ago I did multiple rounds of IVF and we had classes, videos and nurses which would show us each cycle how much to draw up and how to manage mixing and injections.
I felt super confident about injecting myself.
My only problem is each day I have the urge to inject! 😅 you get so used to the cycle schedule of daily shots it is weird to only do it once a week!
This vid is great. I watched many like these during my IVF journey and it really helps and gives people confidence.
At 0.25mg does that literally mean you’re only going to 2.5 units?

I did not have an instruction card for dosing, just a video on how to do the injection. I am still nervous to start even though it probably won't hurt.

When you say “5 units” does that mean 0.5mg? I just want to make sure. I keep reading that the dosages are 0.25mg,0.5mg,1mg and 2mg. If 0.5mg=5 units, then 0.25mg=2.5 units obviously?

I was watching this and recognised your name lol, I could drawn most of it out but it would have been over 50 units or 0.5mL and the prescription is 0.5mL
Mine just came and it’s my first dose and it says 0.5 and I only put it to the 5so I’m glad that I think after watching this video I think I did the right dose with the syringe

You don’t open it. There’s a little top soft spot that you put the needle into, flip the bottle and draw it out.
I had a red plastic top that u pop off & I’ve seen ppl w other color tops u should be able to pop it off w ur thumbs & then the part u put syringe in is there

Ok. My dosage is 0.5 mg. How much is that in a syringe that goes up to 50 units on one side where as and other side shows cc/mm and full draw back would be 0. 5 on that side which is a full syringe. Thanks

the ozmpic comes with a pre dosage needle I have the blue pen it was orded from my doctor, I too the .05 today didn't get sick thank god, I'm glad your friends husband is doing better please be careful, but why are people using a syringe?.
We are using a syringe because our doctors prescribe it in a tiny bottle that we have to pull the medicine out of it to inject. We don't get "pens', From what I understand, the syringes are less expensive for the patient.

On my syringe it’s 5 units. I started with 2 units to microdose. Better than go less than more.

Compounded meds usually don’t come in a pen, just in a vial to draw from

What does 8 units of 10 mg look like. My dr changed from 5mg 5 units to 10 mg 8 units starting next Tuesday. I think I have been screwing up. No side effects but stuck at 187 lbs from 223 in month 5.
