I hate magnetic Algae Scrubbers. If you have sand you'll scratch the glass so badly. I've made that mistake before and never use them again. Also I found when it suddenly starts to move inside the tank it can really spook the fish. Suggest you just get 4 or 5 bristle nose Plecos with a small ornament for them to hide in. You don't see them in the day but they are amazing and will come out at night and keep your tank clean , since I bought those I've never wiped the inside glass down again!👍🏼
Nice i personally bred betta's and now i've started keeping an Arowana. I have a super red and have had it for half a year now. There's quite a bit of care you'll have to put in haha and i've already removed my driftwood. I keep my tank bare bottom cos it's easier to clean. And you're lucky that your arowana is taking to the prepared shrimp. Mine didn't want any of that and he gets spooked easily too.
yes, he may get hurt on the driftwood. ive removed my driftwood as my arowana keep knocking and its scales keep getting damaged. its very painful to see

Remember, water quality also play a part. Some people think tanning make them change their color.. NO! it actually make the process of the scales color more faster. Thank me later 👌
and... yeah one more thing. DO NOT PEEL OFF the market prawn shells. omg.. that is the secret for it's color. Just cut the head tip will do and cut the body to smaller pieces with a scissors. Don't remove the shells 😭😭

Get a timer for your light , in my opinion it’s good to get your fish use to a day / night cycle , LED lights I’m not sold on them yet , I’d do a H O fluorescence bulb / fixture they are inexpensive don’t get very hot and come in a variety of colors ....: and aren’t unhealthy for you or your arowana ( LED’s might not be good for us , something about they put out excessive amounts of a blue light that messes with our sleep cycles .....) I liked and Sub’d ...fish looks great

An algae scrubber is also a type of filter you grow a thick amount of algae and pump your water on it and it removes the chemicals from the water
