I really like the top and skirt idea a lot more than just having a full dress. That way you can wear it so many different ways that it's getting worn a lot more often than a full puffy strawberry dress I believe.

I made a bustier top yesterday, you gave me the confidence to start making clothes! My lovely neighbour gifted me a vintage singer machine that belonged to her mum and I love it so much, it only has one stitch and one stitch type but it's perfect for what I want it for. I just learned about the strawberry dress after watching Rachel Maksy make a halloween version out of bat fabric. Not quite sure what all the hype is about, but it is a cute dress and you and Julia absolutely nailed it, as usual!

You did a great job, and I love the 2 piece idea. It’s so much more versatile in a wardrobe. I must admit to not really caring for the longer sleeves, but to each her own.

Here is an unsolicited idea for a video I would love to watch. You could revist the diys you've worn the most and show us little things you would change, like a bit of stitching that is uncomfortable or stuff like that. Or tell us if something is still perfect now!

This made me think of my very first independent (post-Homec) sewing project -- a pink bubble skirt. With all the pink thread, it looked like a unicorn had thrown up all over my machine!
