I think it's a start, something has to be done. When addicts don't seek help, they commit crimes for their next fix and society pays and suffers.

Get the drug dealers and cartel hauling in the damn drugs. Then weed out the mentally ill from the addicts. Give them proper treatment, meaning not some sterile bare bones lockdown place, expecting addicts to become sober in a bunk bed clinical setting.

Some are already eligible for care and a monitored treatment however being assigned a caregiver to assist them can't happen the social workers say unless they have housing first.
It is a losing battle without proper resources and support. Most cannot even take care of themselves or do the paperwork.
Newsome said this will take time to implement the staff and programs????
I really hope it can help.
    We shall see.

January 2024, it's going to be open season on the homeless. Once their done with the homeless, who's next. Could it be those who don't agree with them??? Those who speak out ????

Hope they don’t use this law to declare parents and or Christians mentally disabled, because of going against any California law..

"Clinical evaluation" needed. Don't worry. Your religion, as backward as it is, is safe.
