- On a special Holiday edition of S&P, we welcome the Celebrini boys, Macklin and Aiden, back to the program.
The Boston Terrier bros discuss what it's like to play college hockey together, growing up as Canucks fans in Vancouver, living the college life, and being a part of the up-and-coming talent coming out of the Lower Mainland. Macklin chats about the upcoming World Junior tournament in which he'll lace up for Team Canada as a 17-year-old, playing NCAA hockey in his draft-eligible season, being a top draft prospect, as well as his fellow North Vancouver buddy Connor Bedard; Aiden discusses the role of being an older brother, being drafted by the Canucks, and what it's like having a younger brother who's expected to go first overall in the 2024 NHL Draft. Plus, we hear about youngest brother RJ, who's lighting it up in minor hockey, as well as father Rick, who worked for the Canucks as the director of rehabilitation before joining the Golden State Warriors as the director of sports medicine and performance.

Most incredible young men!!! Not only amazing hockey players, but amazing human beings!
And to think RJ could 100% be right here with his bro’s in a few years LETS GOOOOO ALL 3 Celebrini’s
they make us proud here in BC.. all the BC boys do
I think the best answer from Macklin about the hit that took him out should have been with a straight face..."what hit ? sorry I don't remember any hit"
OMG the scouts would have been panicking ! 😂
Awesome interview Blake and Matt!

Hope to see some home grown talent here in Vancouver and BC on our team in the future.
it rarely has worked out for the canucks case in point Virtanen. But like you I am very concerned this team is all Americans and we know that they are good players but still you wanna see some top canadian talent and best of all some top BC talent on the team
Wait for your rights to expire after college and sign with Van.

Hopefully he goes somewhere other than Chicago 😅
God I'm still unhappy with that. The harshness they dealt with Ottawa and Chicago got nothing like losing a pick, for a much more serious even criminal infraction. The NHL comes across as corrupt and overflowing with nepotism when stuff like this happens and the contrast in punishments are so obvious. The Canucks vs NJ and the whole Luongo contract thing comes to mind as well. NJ did the same thing Vancouver did to ease Luongo's contract and we got punished but the devils didn't we had to pay 1 million plus for years against the cap the devils had no consequences ( and never mind the fact they punished us retroactively for not breaking any rules at the time. The NHL is a weird organization for sure
He’s coming to Chicago like it or not .. Stop faking like you really give a damn about Kyle beach
@Chosen1Crown Nobdy said anything when they drafted Korchinski and Nazar, and that's the draft it should've happened! Lol
Look at what's happened to McDavid in Edmonton and Bedard Chicago guys. Don't waste your time. Pull a Lindros and be done with it. Nobody would think less of you for refusing to report to Arizona. What's the point of living and playing in some random American city with zero sentimental connection to you anyway ? Don't bother.
Arizona isn’t drafting 1st overall
@@U_r_hopeless It was just an example
My Blackhawks suck with only Bedard, we need Celebrini with Bedard together !!
Celebrini.and.bedard.together.blackhawks.big.deal.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Pull a Lindross or play your 4 years at BU and come join Connor in a Nuck uni.
If all the top young Vancouver-area prospects/players found ways to sign here you can bet the NHL would close off those avenues.
