I mean it's mindblowing, don't get me wrong but this is essentially just a lot of copy and paste on a stencil. Playing Nandgame made both appreciate electronics more but also reduce the "magic" factor.

AMD found a new path tracing method, basically "we had to rewrite the code from scratch because the old code didn't work."
Honestly props to them, that takes some serious time and money.
Edit- I made a mistake, forgive my sins. It's work path not path tracing.
It's not a new path tracing method, it's just an optimization for Mesh Shaders, which are a completely different thing from any ray tracing techique

The only case where I don't understand over 100% is a chance to proc percentage in games. 100% chance = every time, 200% chance = ???

Psvr2 developing to be used with PC could be a game changer for Sony. The headset is quite well designed for what it costs, maybe we will see Sony becoming a hardware provider one day in the future for vr?
They said that they are aiming for late 2024 for PC support. Also they are not stopping production entirely, but pausing until current stock is gone
I was really disappointed when it didn't support pc at launch it is a great screen for the cost. Can't wait to pick up one used now for pc lol

When it becomes pc compatible I'll almost certainly buy psvr2. Best way they could do it is by releasing wireless adapter working through wifi (like quest 3). This way Sony can sell it to existing psvr users while also supporting pc vr with just steam link vr driver. For max of 200$ for adapter it would still be acceptable.
@@Mervinion I didn't even think of that. I'm not sure if they're willing to put more r&d money into it at this point though. I could see that coming later if the adoption is good. Don't get me wrong I'd love for that to come out now.
Fact is a niche product like a VR headset can’t be restricted to a gaming platform AND sell if they’d released the PSVR and just made it a headset that supported Xbox and PC as well it would be bloody moving units
Xbox doesn't really have a way to support VR, it only has one HDMI port and USB 3.0. Modern VR usually requires higher bandwidth than that.

@@IndyMiraaga Usb 3.2 is more than enough for sensor data. HTC vive works with a seperate hdmi and usb to PC. Playstation 5 usb c port works in display alt mode with usb 3.2. The vr headset is nothing but a screen with sensors as input.
Although it wont be convenient like having a single usb c like ps5, the specs can do VR no doubt.
The fact AMD isn't even bothering to make a high-end gpu for their next gpu line up is a little concerning.
I'm happy to see 50 series be such a mass8ve leap in performance, but for AMD to realize they can't even come close to competing and just not even trying means nvidia owns the high end market and that is not going to be good

On the AMD making games better, I really hope us RX 6000 users get a boost in performance.
I still have hope that AFMF will come to 5000 series but most likely will buy RDNA5 if its going to be MCM or Nvidia depends who release MCM gaming gpu earlier and for better price just a little nerd and want to have MCM CPU and GPU

@@RAM_845 they already did with 7900XTX. but what people really want is for AMD to make at the very minimum 2GCD to work together. i don't think ANY gpu maker able to make this one work yet.

I'm really exited about the changes to the 7900XTX, given I had exactly 2000$ to spend on a computer (although I may have spent some of that on an unnecessary EK AIO) I ended up with only a 7600x for a cpu and have been really wanting to upgrade to a 7800x3d, hopefully with this update to the XTX, I can compensate for some of my poor spending decisions without spending any money.
Why is the sign the wrong way?
More people need to find out about cold brew, it is sooo much better than drip, or espresso, and as strong as espresso. I have two 24oz Masson jars I fill up with ground coffee (Same amount you would use for trip) and water I keep in the fridge, and have instant coffee anytime all week long. I use a metal loose leaf tea strainer to pour it out. Works great and very fast. One cup (8oz) of cold brew is the same as two cups of drip.

Hope your son gets well soon man. It's times like that when it's good be with your kids when they need you. Thankfully we have mobile hardware like smartphones and laptops these days that allow us to work or pass the time while away from home in situations like that.

When it's being reported that the top AI engineers are telling anyone trying to snipe them they wont move unless the company offering has 10k nvidia cards running it's probably a safe bet to buy the stock.

nah. nvidia gaming made 2.9 billion last quarter. in comparison data center alone made 18.4 billion. this is not nvidia of the past where 70% of company's revenue coming from gaming division. if anything data center now can fund nvidia gaming chip development if they want to. the thing that ruining "gaming" GPU price is not all this new AI chip development but it's vast capability beyond gaming. the semi pro crowd that did not want to buy true pro GPU from nvidia (and AMD) end up ruining the price for gaming GPU for gamers.
@@arenzricodexd4409If they're focusing on AI because that's their primary income source, then they're going to up the price of gaming gpus because they'll be both making less of them because that silicone can go to AI cards and it's not a primary income source. The only reason for nvidia to make consumer gpus is to impress board members and the public, that's why MSI has $1300 motherboards, basically nobody buys them but it looks good in a meeting.
@@dragonproductions236 all nvidia chips are AI chips. including those inside geforce. so when they make chip for AI that's mean they also make chips for gaming card. AD102 for example used in 4090, A6000 and L40S. the last one is specifically configured for AI compute use only. so nvidia does not have to worry about "wasting the silicon for non AI product". they just need to allocate between gaming/professional visual/AI accordingly. and looking at JPR latest report on consumer discrete GPU shipment numbers nvidia have increase the production of their Geforce over the last year.
I feel like people tend to forget amd is only their for those who cant afford the highest end gpu, including Intel thats joining the gaming market, Think of it as like a class status, yeah yeah your better because you can afford the most expensive GPU money can buy, but all seriousness, im fine with my rx 6700 xt, it doing it job quite well.

I wish Amazon could update there hdr video streaming. I swear Amazon just doesn’t have 4k they just want to say you don’t have equipment requirement for it. Still can’t get hdr set up on my 4k monitor and after paying for Microsoft’s hdr software
It’s that almost everyone refuses to stream 4K/ HDR to PC. Even Netflix that’s the only company that will do it, isn’t helping any because now a lot of times they don’t even have the 4K copy at all. It sucks.

supposedly AMD has a major hardware flaw that prevents real Ai work from being done. which is why they can only get 7% market share right now.
i don't think AMD had issues with hardware. in fact from time to time they have even superior hardware than nvidia.
