- Join me on this adventure as I tackle the task of crafting music for commercials, even before a single image is captured or a voiceover recorded. From decoding the brief to selecting the perfect instruments, capturing the desired emotion, and nailing those pivotal moments, come along as we navigate the creative process that might just persuade the bigwigs to choose my tune over the competition.

That ending was 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
Stayed until the end for the commercial and it did NOT disappoint 😂 whatever you are selling me with that commercial, I’m buying
Ha! Thanks for making it to the end!
There is such a noticeable change in your videos lately JM. You are so much more relaxed and the fun just translates to the viewer. It really helps the message ‘stick’. Great stuff mate.
amazing work Jon! very inspiring
One of your best videos yet. At least for me, someone new to this 'game' and wanting to learn as much as I can from the seasoned pros! Thanks Jon! :)
Nahhh this was tooo good!! That end was wholesome 🎉
Sounds like something I’m working on with a publisher that we both have in common 😊
THE VOICEOVER montage! Perfection. 😎
Love your videos! I always learn something when watching your stuff:)
Awesome! Thank you!
Your educational storytelling inspires me. I want to listen to you! Inspiring!
Great Tutorial.Well done!
Thank you! Cheers!
Bro! Whatever you’re selling I want it for $19.99 😂 thanks for your channel, man! It’s really inspiring and I appreciate your non judgmental but professional approach to helping us understand music production 💛
I really gained a deeper sense of your process, super cool 💎 Thanks again.
love your videos :)
here once again for the color grade
A hint of blue/teal in the shadows. A little orange in the highlights. I use the Utopia Phantom Correction LUT to get me from LOG to rec709. It does most of the heavy lifting.
@@JonMeyer good ol´ Teal & Orange
The “hypothetical” customer sounded like they need music for a Funeral Cover/Policy commercial. I guess giving them a version of Comfortably Numb wouldn’t be apt 😂 (sorry).
Great advice and great to see your interpretation of what works. Very inspiring.
I was feeling dark and mouldy at the start but by the end was wholesome and new 😮
Excellent as always, Jon! 🎉
Great work Jon. I am inspired to try my own hand at writing short pieces. Being as I've got so many half-finished tracks in the DAW waiting for a "b section" inspiration (which I seem to be pretty bad at), maybe forcing myself to a 30s length would be an interesting experiment. Thanks.
🙏🏾
This was super insightful, thanks!
Love your content! Very well done!
Ha, loved the Ts and Cs ending
Thanks Jon.This is very helpful.
I am looking to up my production skills and get into sync licensing some music and was hoping someone can recommend any reasonablly prices courses, other CZcams channels, or other resources that would help me on my way.

Hi, amazing work Jon. I'm new to the process of this kind of music writing and wonder about the length of the song. Commercials are usually 30 sec long, how long should my original work be? 30 seconds, 3 minutes?
LOL. You couldn't have ended that better!
i would like to learn from you
What's that mandolin? it sound great
