  • We're on a path to build a useful, error-corrected quantum computer within the decade. This will accelerate solutions for some of the world’s most pressing problems, like sustainable energy, and unlock new scientific discoveries, like more helpful AI. It begins at our new Quantum AI campus in Santa Barbara.

    Obviously Google is lagging behind IBM, IBM team announced their 127 qubits QC few days ago and it seems Google is not yet there, that's funny how Google has far more resources and talent access over IBM and like many of their projects they are struggling here too.

    Quantum computer, if I understand correctly: at all times, it manages to be both "zero / off" and "one / on". So, any password of the current technology and even blockchain data, are already the past (bank account passwords etc etc ...)

    • @SahilP2648
      @SahilP2648 Před 2 lety +2

      Yes correct. If you have encrypted anything with, say AES-256 which is the standard for data encryption right now, a quantum computer should be able to find the key in significantly less amount of time than a normal computer. How much gain is possible that I don't know. But you also need to understand that finding the actual encrypted data is hard to begin with, and companies such as Google can't do stuff like this because of the repercussions it will face if found out that they are decrypting data from other companies. Also creating a quantum computer is not a small feat by any stretch of the imagination, so any hacker group can't just create it in their basement. So overall, rest assured.

    since military research is about 50 years ahead of civilian research, how does a commercial (defense/civilian) company motivate their engineers and researchers when they realise that everything they will ever discover and/or invent has alreade been done in military research many decades before.

    It makes me very nervous when private tyrannies (aka: corporations) say they're going to do something "for the good of humanity"

      WRONG !!! WE FLAT EARTHERS MAY NOT BE THAT SMART AND WE MAY NOT ALL HAVE OUR GRADE 10 BUT THE EARTH IS FLAT BECAUSE WE HAVE MEETINGS AND EVERYTHING AND THIS AND THAT AND SO ON!!!! WE TEXT EACH OTHER AND HAVE PROOF AND WHAT HAVE YOU AND WHAT NOT !!! ITS FLAT ! SYSTEMATIC DECELERATIONAL ENROLLMENT DECAPITATES GRAVITATIONAL ADJUSTMENT ! THE SPIN ON IT,S AXIS ISNT REFORMATIVE TO SUNSETS ! THEREFORE CONTRARY TO SPACE-TIME REALITIES ! CONSEQUENTIAL REFERENDUM MORALITIES INGEST UPON THE FLAT EARTH !!
      IF THE EARTH WAS SPINNING AT 1.000 MPH YOU COULDNT GO OUTSIDE WITHOUT HOLDING ONTO A HEAVY OBJECT OR TYING YOUR SELF TO A TREE OR MAIL TRUCK OF SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND WHAT NOT AND SO FORTH AND THE LIKES BECAUSE OF SPINTRIFICAL FORCE AND THIS AND THAT AND WHAT HAVE YOU,, !! !! !!!! AND WE CAN PROVE THAT THE MOON IS ONLY 40 MILES AWAY...WE HAVE GADGETS AND SUCH TO PREDICT DISTANCE AND THIS AND THAT THERE IS A DOME OVER THE EARTH BECAUSE WE CAN PROVE IT WITH SPECIAL DEVICES AND SO ON AND THIS AND THAT AND WHAT HAVE YOU !!!!!!!!! SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND WHAT HAVE YOU
