    Bought mine in Jan 2023. Malfunctioned and stopped working September 2023. Warranty from Anker only 90 days so that was $130 I lost. Worked great when it did though. I’ll go with my others that cost less and I’ve had for YEARS!

    My Anker 737 will not give an output of anything remotely close to over 100 watts. In fact, when plugged into my 15-inch MacBook Air, the output is 55w max. With my 12.9 iPad pro, the output is 37w max. Both were just using single port charging. I'm actually currently in contact with Anker's tech support to try to resolve this issue. I've sent them a video of the issue and now I'm just waiting on their response. I'm glad to know that yours works without issues.

    Hi, great review, thanks very much. I note the reservations about loss of efficiency charging smaller devices but my priority as a thru-hiker, is to get recharged as fast as possible and also, ofcourse, weight. Is there anything which can compete with this power bank?

    • @ChargedGear-yb4nn
      @ChargedGear-yb4nn  Před rokem +3

      If you're planning to charge your phone while hiking, keep in mind that the phone's maximum charge speed will likely be much slower than the 140W this device can provide. So, using this particular charger won't necessarily speed things up. There are lighter, smaller, and more affordable options that will likly get you the same results. Though I don't have personal hiking experience, this device seems a bit heavy to carry around. You might want to consider alternatives like the Xiaomi 20,000 mAh 3 Pro or the Baseus 20,000 mAh 65W instead

    • @MrBarneymcgrew
      @MrBarneymcgrew Před rokem +1

      @ChargedGear-yb4nn thanks so much for getting back to me - much appreciated. I'm not too worried about how long it takes to charge my devices as I have all day, it's recharging the battery itself which is important as this may need to be done in a brief pitstop as I pass an occasional power outlet. I can't find anything else at this capacity that will charge in under an hour. The weight of the battery plus the wallcharger is a concern. This is a significant component in a load of perhaps 8-9 kilos but the weight has to be balanced against the extra facility. Ultimately I think I would be happy to take the weight on.

    • @ChargedGear-yb4nn
      @ChargedGear-yb4nn  Před rokem +2

      I have not tested it yet, but Anker has a new 20,000mAh version with even faster charge speeds I believe it is the Anker Prime 20000 200W - A1336. It could be much of what you need but in a lighter weight package.

      @peterfarkas8471 Před rokem

      The Sharge gets great reviews because it looks good. The only problem is that their support and warranty is severely lacking. Which I could probably live with, but the power bank is extremely fragile. For example, nothing protects the screen, and Sharge will not sell you a replacement LCD. Speaking from experience here - they told me to buy a new power bank.

    • @chriswilcox8977
      @chriswilcox8977 Před rokem

      Charge power will depend on the battery level of the device being charged. Empty battery in the device will charge faster than if the device battery is closer to being full. Might be this.

      @franciscoorantes675 Před rokem +2

      @chriswilcox8977 yeah, I tried with a lower battery and managed to get between 25-27w. I'm wondering if I need to charge it from an even lower % to do super fast charging or if it's not compatible.

    • @franciscoorantes675
      @franciscoorantes675 Před rokem

      @noahani10 I was able to get between 25-27w with my s22 ultra while charging from about 10%. I'm wondering if I need to be below that to pull closer to 45w or if it's a lack of compatibility. Anyways, the capacity seems to check out from what I've seen so I'm satisfied overall. Though I wish I had something that could pull 140w so I could see how it compares to what other people have gotten.
