I don't really care how people read, I just care if they read.

Fantastic quote
Joseph Clayson amen
I just love the act of turning pages of a real book!!
OMG I thought I was the only one
i agree with you man....
Colette Green u can do that with an ereader too
Maria Scanlan No?
I hate when people ask me what I read, because i know they will NEVER read it. Am I the only one?
+Sylwia Skolarczyk yep. same here
Sylwia Skolarczyk what do you read?
There are a few components to how to play worship guitar. One plan I found that succeeds in merging these is the Worship Fixer Formula (check it out on google) definately the no.1 guide that I have ever seen. look at all the amazing information .
But they want you to read what they read... lol

"Real books we can pet”
*pets book as she says it*
OMG YAS THAT’S SO MEEEEE
_Her face_
When I go to the bookstore, the first thing I say when I enter is "Baby I'm coming for you!!" And then I pet, stroke, kiss and cuddle with books and get judged by the people. But IDC about them Daleks😝

Do I save money for college?
Or do I save money for books?
Both, you need the knowledge and the world of wonderful books
Books
Though if you want a good job, you should probably save for college lol
I accidentally bought 8 hardcover book oops
Go to the library and save for college...
When people ask: "what are you reading;" I'm like, you can read the cover, right.
Haha. Best comment ever.
+LPSlight hahah
Exactly!😄
I just hold the book up and continue reading
+arwen sanders same!
A chemistry book about physics and biology??
What do YOU know? Its a very intelligent literature.
do a video like this but discussing hardbacks vs paperbacks. i'd do it but let's be honest, i'd never pull it off as well as you.
brittanyericaa I love hardcovers WAY more than paperback but the only reason I like paperback because they're cheaper
Amberly Massey SAME
@@rhetoricalproceeds4835 seriously. I wish they were of same price
For some reason it's easier for me to read a hardcover book. Idk why
I feel like I finish a book faster if I have the real book
OMG me too! 👌🏻
Same it's probably because it's so easy to just stop reading and go on youtube😂
+hrd03 haha yeah😂
not if u hv a kindle paperwhite
+Amazing Edits I have that lol
I like this video because it proves that both formats have equal advantages and disadvantages. It depends on the situation you are in for reading. It's nice to have choices! THANKS CHRISTINE!
Finally someone who doesn't absolutely hate ebooks. Bless you.
I love this because in real life I get told fairly often that I am not a "real reader" because I read on my kindle. It's very sad and frustrating
Who the heck says that???? It's the same story as what they are reading but it's cheaper. I personally prefer reading real books but I get them from the library so read on and evil on :)
Ok that's weird I wrote eBook on but it said evil haha
Thalia Parkson Ughh why can't everyone be like you!!!
Halle Adamson that's stupid!! Keep on reading in whatever way you enjoy!! You're a reader as long as you read, no matter how, when, where, what or how!!
+Thalia Parkson you know what else you get from the library? Bacteria.
Obviously real books are way better, with Ebooks your eyes get tired and sleepy.. however the bad thing is that real books are way too expensive, so at the end of the day you just download Wattpad and read all the books you want for free... that's life!
But Wattpad doesn't have real books. And some of their stories are truly woeful.
DeepsPotterGomez It does have books, from Harry Potter to Hush hush, it has all the books!!
Miss Carter Littrell BSB no it does't. They're all made by random people all over the world. If it has anything to do with a real book, it's pretty much always a fanfiction.
real books expensive? check ebay. most expensive book i've bought on ebay was atlas shrugged and it was $8.
DAT $8 is the most expensive i bought. most books are $1-3 and usually free shipping
This is the perfect comparison of ebook vs. real books. I prefer real books all the way 100% I love carrying them around. I love smelling the pages (oh my gosh, that's my favorite). I love hearing the pages crinkle as I turn them. I love being able to cry while reading and know my book will be fine. But most of all I love the gratifying feeling of finishing an amazing book or series and putting it on my shelf like trophies. See I don't do sports, I do reading, and finished books are my trophies. They're proof of the journeys I've gone on and people I've met. I do read ebook samples but I haven't and will probably never buy an ebook.
But to each her own ;)
Also if you want to buy cheaper books go on ebay or amazon! That's where I buy aallll of my books unless they're at a nearby store and don't cost much more.
People ask me if I play soccer and I say no, basketball, no, volleyball, no, hockey, no, WHAT SPORT DO YOU PLAY THEN??? And I answer back, I read!!!!!!
Thalia Parkson xD Story of my life
I do both XD
I like how u appreciate books, but depends on what book. But. By the purpose of knowledge quantity, money and saving time, I ratter have ebook, and audiobook better yet cus I'm a good listener. But I tottaly see ur point
Nice Stuff Yeah, I can understand that. I get kind of easily distracted so audiobooks aren't the best option for me, but that's why there are so many options, so there's something for everyone :)
Get a Kindle girl, never runs out of battery... well... it does, but it lasts over a week =)
+zeusbark Mine seriously takes over a month. I just set it on auto-off. Im a cheap ass and ebooks are often cheaper. soo yeah
+Marlies Veenstra I just use it a lot... and have the screen light around 12
Nawww. Real books are incomparable
zeusbark always have the light off or on 1. Also i read for about 3 hours a day. You?
true. how can you compare real tech that has loads of features and can have countless readings and light as a feather. to a nasty overweight ink on paper that you can barley carry a single one around?
what they should do is, when you buy a book it will come with a code that you can download onto your kindle and read it on your kindle or in book form. that would be awesome!..
Let's make that a thing!!
It's the best idea ever!!
immy clark, but then you could just look at the code and type it in your kindle without buying the book
Basically sums up my entire feelings on this debate. I love reading on my kindle but I love owning and hugging and passing along the physical copy.
People who argue about physical and Ebooks are as bad as people argue if the dress is black and blue or gold and white ITS JUST A DRESS JUST ENJOY IT! IT'S THE SAME STORY
I know!!!!!!!! Is your picture of Annabeth Chase?
fucking shit don't even start with the dress thing
i am so sick of that dress stuff OMG
Thalia Parkson Luna Lovegood, but they look similar
+Puppy Treat br.fiverr.com/neylton/sell-4-best-ebooks buy eBooks here for only US$ 5,00
Am I the only one that loves to smell books?
Jellio I thought I was the only one!
JellioIsAReader My friend and I are huge readers and we were actually discussing which series has the best smelling paper. We're weird and lame people.
im the second one
I love them both. It's just how it is. My Kindle lets me read whatever I want WHENEVER I want. I can go on Amazon and browse free books, new ebooks, try out samples. Stuff like that. And it also lets me read whatever I wish from my library too via the kindle deal my local one has and as I have asthma AND severe allergies... This actually lets me be capable of taking books out of the library (because my library is while it's awesome it's REALLY not good about replacing books) And when I forget their due... No charge. They just go poof.
But I also have a massive collection of hardback and paperbacks. And I'm still making room for more as I want a big book collection.
What i really like about physical books that ebooks can never have, is that miraculous smell of paper and ink. Its just amaizing :D
JoaniMaster Ever heard of smellovision
I agree with everything she said! I think I prefer the real thing just a little bit more. There's just something amazing about seeing your own physical library filling with more and more books vs viewing images of your ebooks on your iPad.
I like the physical books because I like to line up the books that I've read on my bookshelf and admire my collection. Now I regret buying things like the Beautiful Creatures series on my Kobo because it could have looked so nice on my shelf!
you are so freaking funny. love all the voices.
i would love for a company/bookstore to offer an online download code when you perchase a hard copy through like a membership program, because then you have hard copy? good, need to travel, you can still take it with you.
yeah like they do with the blu ray thats a really good idea !
Good summary of pros and cons of eBooks versus traditional books. However, don't forget there are true eBook readers other than tablets (e.g., iPad). Tablets are NOT the best for reading eBooks: are heavier, have shorter battery lives, displays are not optimized for reading.
You got that right! Tablets are a joke for reading books. Nothing but constant glare. Stay away from Fires and iPads people. Get a REAL eReader with e-ink or you'll never be happy. Heck, the battery last for a month on one charge. Try doing that with an iPad!
I love having actual books, but my book shelf is already overflowing and e-books are cheaper. Plus, it's much easier to carry all of your favorite books on one e-reader than having the physical copies.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who gets hurt right in the feelings everytime she drops the books to the floor on purpose...
I often buy the real book and then torrent the ebook...real books are better but the convenience of the ebook is great for when youre not at home.
i mostly read on ebooks cause im broke af lol but bookshelf goals is still what i want
haha yesss, frr 😂
ahh, but i sooo wish i was able to buy the books in book form - its just nicer to have and look at
You forgot that e-reader can just get broken and then you have to wait forever for a new one to arrive but I completely agree with you :)
Couldn't have said it better myself!
My favorite xtinemay video out of all of them.
Haha. I related to this in so many ways, and loved this soooo much.
Love it!
There is nothing that compares to the feel and smell of a real book. However, ebooks are eco friendly (think of all the trees!!), they save on space if you have no room to keep and store books. You can carry thousands of books around with you. The ereaders these days have battery life of upto two months. Ereaders are light and portable.
In my personal opinion the "experience" of a real book is amazing but the lack of eco friendlyness and ease of use and portability etc give it more cons than pros. An ereader is excellent in those terms, definitely more pros than cons for me but the reading experience just does not compare to a real book.
chem book about physics and biology ... interesting ....!!
I respect that some people prefer reading on eBooks than real book. My personal thought I prefer real books and I have never read on eBooks. I find reading on eBooks danger for my own health for my brain and eyes. I know real books are expensive, but I always find a way to save up some money to buy it or ask my parents to buy it for me (I'm 12) :) I fully respect that some people prefer eBooks :)
I totally agree. I tried several times to read ebooks but I just really hate that light from my screen and I've to read all the time. At one point my eyes kind of start to hurt. that's why I don't really like it. There's a reason why real books are more expensive. Idk I just hate it to read something from a screen all the time.
btw, here in the netherlands you can borrow books (with a special card which I think you've to first buy) from the library. and it's endless, so you can borrow whenever you want! isn't that also like that where you live? I can read books without even purchasing it. Although buying it would also be nice...
I believe both have their benefits (although I much prefer paper and will continue buying physical books for as long as possible), but what truly matters is the story. Not the medium with which we receive it. People forget that.
The whole E-books versus printed books is like: cake Vs. more cake. Both sides of the argument have some really good points, it just depends on what you want. Besides, just enjoy with what you have, there's no need to bash someone else's preference. This whole debate is pointless.
Wow, you had excellent points! I have a classmate who likes to ask me, "Why not get the ebook?" or another one who doesn't understand how I can manage an ebook (she hates ebooks). I can do both! If I love it, I love to feel it in my hands and turning the pages. If I want to go back or forward, it's easy to go -with an ebook, I have to wait for the pages to turn. However, if I feel that I won't like the novel enough to buy a physical copy, ask to borrow it from a friend and then wait for that friend give it to me, or wait or look for it in the library, I choose ebooks. Sometimes, if I like it enough when I read it as an ebook, I will eventually buy the physical copy. I would have no reason to get it as an ebook if I already have it physically though. Sometimes, it irritates me when I'm reminded that my device is almost out of battery but I love the book so much that I don't want to leave it...
I love reading in general and yes there are a lot of pros if using a kindle or an ebook or something but I just really like to see all my books on my bookshelf in my room and I like the feel of them and stuff I do have some books on my iPad but I like physical books more
I can't believe I've been watching your videos for over 3 years now. I remember watching this one and LOSING IT laughing.
Here I have 50 books (iPad), here I got one book (real book), it's bigger than the 50. hahahahaha
I love physical books! They are fun to read, they get my attention with pretty covers, and then when I'm done I add it to my bookshelf. All the different pops of color from the books on the shelf make for both a lovely decoration (doesn't it always look real nice to see a bookshelf in a persons home... gives a sense of sophistication), help spark conversations for those who come over, and yeah.
"I'm reading a chemistry book, it's about physics and biology" 😂😂😂
Gosh! l love this video! your so enthusiastic when you make your videos.
2:25 This.
I love how energetic and passionate you are about books and all their forms.
Is this even an arguement? REAL BOOKS ALL THE WAY
You are hilarious! I don't think I have seen more personality then you from other book tubers. Sometimes I stop and wonder how many different personalities you may have. I love the Book Shower Idea!
This was FANTASICAL
Yeah, I read the 50 Shades book on my Nook. I couldn't bring myself to buy those at a store or read them where anyone would see what they were, haha. I have a friend that lives about 2 hours away from the closest bookstore and she relies on her ereader pretty heavily. She orders books that she really wants to have a copy of but it isn't practical all the time. I also find that reading a 1000 pg book is a little easier on an ereader. I love my physical books and will buy the ones that I just "have to have" but I download the ones that won't necessarily be cherished favorites. :)
I read Mocking Jay on the iPad, I didn't like it. I liked the book, but I couldn't really concentrate. I prefer real books, but some good arguments, though! ;D
It would hurt your eyes reading on the iPad. eBooks are frontlit so you don't get a glare.
You should try kindle. iPad is not an ebook reader.
Kindle paperwhite, kobo aura, Sony tsr3, are ereaders. An apple iPad is a tablet. Here is a easy tip to tell the difference, if you have to recharge your device everyday instead of once every month it's not a ereader.
Darren N no hate but she is technically talking about the ebooks themselves, not necessarily the device
This video made me crack up! I don't personally read on an ebook, but I really enjoyed this!
"Excuse me miss, what do you happen to be reading there?"
"I'm reading a chemistry book, it's about physics and biology, and it's very intelligent literature."
"Oh really, maybe I should pick that one up."
*Evil laughing*
Oh my gosh you have come so far with your videos! This is still great but you seem more confident after 2 years! That's crazy! Haha.
I prefer E-Books I love nature !!!!!!!!
your hair is a work of art, truly beautiful presentation.
Her lips are perfect
I like both paper books and ebooks. Ebooks are GREAT for textbooks, especially for a college student since they're so much cheaper than the hardcover or paperback versions. Most other books are cheaper in ebook form too, which is nice. It can take a little getting used too, though, since most people probably prefer the feel of paper books and actually turning the pages and everything. Also, I think ebooks are good for when you want to borrow a book through Amazon or another service, or if you see a book that catches your eye and you want to try it out. Or if you just can't wait to go to the store to get a certain book. :) If I really love a book that I'm reading on my Kindle, I'll buy a physical copy too, or I'll buy the next book in a bookstore if it's in a series.
I have a kindle and I don't like it very much. My parents always want me to get it on the kindle because the books are cheaper, but they just aren't as majestic that way. I like collecting books and putting them on the shelf; they make me feel proud and happy when I walk by. Real books also have that smell; I don't know why, but the print on books just smells good and feel relaxing. I like turning pages better than tapping the screen. Ebooks kind of suck.
BEST VIDEO OF ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS! I love you!
I prefer books I just hate not being able to see a nice book on a shelf instead of a digital one.
I love your energy!!! You are so much fun to watch! I prefer my Kindle all day long :-)
When I ask someone what he or she is reading, I actually wanna know as am a avid reader too. Some of the comments here are so rude. If I had met these rude people in real life , I probably would have given them a tight slap.
I was thinking the same thing!
+Katie Christenson Thank you :)
This is one of the best things I have ever seen!
I don't even fucking care... I'm not getting an Ereader until they literally stop printing the books I love on paper. I NEED PAGES OKAY?
Does anyone else hate it when people ask how many pages is that or can I see that like NO YOU CAN'T and then they think your rude.
$10 for an ebook. theres lots of websites that you can download books for free (and no i don't mean illegal download)
$20 for a physical book. I don't think i've ever paid more than $5 for a book except atlas shrugged was like $8.
anyways though, I'll take real book over ebook everytime. i hate reading on a screen
I love both. Just got a Kindle for Christmas and I'm so excited. Will use my kindle more than physical books because I don't have any more room in my small bedroom for more books. Plus ebooks are cheaper.
are you me
They have kindles with built in lights now. Also they are coming out with plastic screen kindles in the near future. So if you drop them they won't break. Once they make it waterproof what will you have left to complain about? Your really missing out by not having a real ereader. Enjoy recharging your iPad everyday. I enjoy recharging my kindle once a month.
i cannot believe this video has dislikes :O
btw you're awesome girl!! just discovered you're youtube channel, and girl,.
YOU ARE AMAAZAYN!!
As an AP student, with soooo many textbooks and notebooks to carry around school all day, ebooks are my personal preference. Plus, they tend to be cheaper than physical books, which is definitely a leg up for an incoming college student like myself. Textbooks are expensive. I have never regretted buying my Kindle. Love it!!!
this will sound silly to most of you reading it- but i HAD to go to the used bookstore to buy my copy of 'city of lost souls' because i wanted the old cover {the one christine used in this video} not the new one. i don't hate the new one , i just like the old one with jace and clary better! good thing they had a copy! xD
"S.Z. Love is a promising new author. He spins a tale in Sienna: and the Bushido School for Princes and Princesses of fantasy and suspense.
The book transforms the reader to an oriental world full of Elves and Halflings, magic and intrigue
. The story follows Sienna, a young girl as she refines her skills in martial arts, and as she meets friends and enemies.
danger pursues her at ever turn as she fights to find her purpose in life.
Sienna is a wonderful story for readers of all ages, and I am eager to find out what will happen in the next installment of S.Z. Love's epic story"
I love your book talks and videos! You are the best you tuber😍
that evil laugh at 1:45 XD
1:44 a solid evil laugh good work. But i seriously love your videos :D
After all these years, this is still extremely funny and entertaining to me.
that montage of positions of reading real books is my life
I do that with music too. If I love the songs/al um, I buy the physical copy AND on ITunes because both are beautiful
This video is a CLASSIC
Another good thing about real books is that you can get them signed by the author. I personally don't want to have signatures on the screen if my kindle
love real books! can't stand to read them on my kindle , something about holding the book and having it on your self and re-reading ! idk glad you agree with me :)
I live in Mexico and its a TORTURE getting great books in English here! I am not a big fan of ebooks because I like having a display on my shelves and I love the smell of real ones, but lately it has really been more about convenience and price. There was even this one time though that I was reorganizing my shelves, and I might have cried just a little because parts of my series and books with really nice covers were on my Kindle or borrowed... I might have issues...
You're right, they're both amazing!
I prefer eBooks but on the e-ink screen Kindle from Amazon. It looks really similar to paper so you don't have that glare. I love that books are cheaper and you can adjust the fonts, size, and spacing and that the battery lasts like a month and I can download new books from anywhere cause it has 3G internet for FREE. I also love that amazon recommends books cause most of the time I really enjoy the recommendations. I would recommend a Kindle to anyone who loves to read.
the description of trying to read in different positions, while eating, etc, is EXACTLY like me :D i always end up with the spaghetti holding down my page. youre awesome!
Thank you, yes!! There are pros and cons to real books AND ebooks!!! I hate when people judge fellow booklions for reading on a kindle, ipad, etc, as if it doesn't count! Books are books. Why can't we all just read and fangirl together??
omg. in the half hour i have discovered you, i have added at LEAST 10-25 books to my reading list. in my world, its UNHEARD OF.
you should get a Kindle Paperwhite it has a battery that is good for weeks
Absolutely love this!
I read both too, like the ebooks because light to hold and carry but the physical books are better for promoting with pictures of them on my blog and in videos. I never read in the bath tub or shower, that's a new one for me!
I so love reading and I love the real (physical) books however they're more expensive than Ebooks that's why I use Ebooks, but whatever you prefer as long as you're happy and comfortable then JUST DO IT 😊
I love both ebook and real book. Now that I have a kindle, I read more books on there but I always get the PJO, HoO, TMI, TID, and now the Miss Peregrine books in physical form!
I love the scent of a book, the feel of the pages, etc. I'll use a kindle if I cannot find the book in store...but I always head back to my paperback. ^_^
I like to read books about military history. I like hardcovers, so I prefer them over e-books. I think it gives me more fun to read, and gives the book more character. I like to collect the books also, and it looks so good in my bookshelf!
Totally agree with you! You made some great points.
I just finished that series! I loved it
i would say both: you can travel and carry a ton of books with you everywhere in a small device and if you like to have the physical copy you can collect them at home, too. i think that it's just a matter of preference, really.
I like reading on my Nexus tablet mostly due to the fact that it is more convenient and I don't have to wait 3 weeks to get my hands on a copy. But I do prefer real physical books. I like the feel of a book in my hands and I love looking at beautiful book covers!
