I’m going to be getting a pair of these skis but I can’t decide whether to get the 3 pin or universal bindings. Can someone way in on the pros and cons?
If this will be a replacement for snowshoes...the universal is likely what you want and it's no issue to switch to 75mm or BC if you wanted to try them,...in a quiver of actual skis...3 pin all day long...or BC magnum...if that's the type of boot you prefer,... I use 75mm Alpina Alaskas and 75mm Scott Excursions with 145cm Hoks, Fischer 78, 98 and 112, all with Voile Mountaineer and Voile 3 pin cable and Altai heelpieces...there are softer 75mm boots, but if that's what you desire you'd be better off with a BC boot as they come in greater range of comfort...Fischer makes an excellent BC line...

three pin has way more downhill capability and works just as well for touring
