    START WITH AN ORANGE BASE
A combination of red and yellow is in nearly all of the skin tone mixtures so it’s extremely helpful to premix orange.
    LIGHT SIDE:
    WHITE + ORANGE
Adding white to your orange will produce a creamy warm light color. I find it useful to keep 2 mixture in this area. One can be used for general warm flesh, and the lighter one for highlights.
    SHADOW SIDE:
    BLACK + ORANGE
Adding black to your orange will produce a very warm brown. You can subtly cool this down by adding a small amount of your warm creamy flesh color to this mixture.
    MID TONES:
    CREAMY COLOR + BROWN
For a warm mid tone, that will be very useful for the lighter parts of the shadows, mix your brown together with your warm creamy flesh color from the light side.
    BLUE + ORANGE
Adding apelles blue and orange will produce a very useful gray color which can be used to neutralize anything.
    EASY HUE SHIFT
Because Orange is the foundation of your skin colors and orange is made up of yellow and red, you can easily shift into a more yellow or red color by simply adding them to these mixtures.
