- In this hands-on workshop I show step by step how to record a guitar with the Roland SP-404MKII to create your own guitar sample.
By adding self-made bass and drum samples, I create a complete patter.
Songwriting has never been easier and you won't need any unreliable band mates anymore;-)
During the breaks in playing, a slight hiss can be heard. This is because I used the compressor of the Roland SP-404MKII, switched off the noise gate to avoid choppy guitar tones and missed to turn up the master volume a bit. With the correct settings, you can reduce the hissing in the periods you are not playing/ recording, which of course can no longer be heard in the finished song. Since I first have to get used to this super extensive device, I've already made this mistake for you so that you don't have to make it yourself ;-)

So good
Best guitar calculator I've ever seen. Sounds great too. Great playing brother
Thank you very much 😄 It´s true, it looks like a calculator. And it has the same size as my cassette recorder, from the 80s. But it records way better than the old recorder.
Sick video! Love to see guitar-based SP content
So you can use an SP to create "band style" music? Awesome
Surprisingly sound quality is pristine i recon sound cleaner and more dynamic than the akai mpc latest product one plus and live although they have big display but cost way more
