"This is such an intimate gathering" - Beste Zangers is a Dutch show where every year 7 established singers from all ages, walks of life and genres are invited to Ibiza, where every week one of them is in the spotlight and the others sing one of their songs or a song important to them. The final episode of any season, where this recording is from, is duets. Floor asked Henk to do this duet with her, seeing as how she's been a near life-long fan of his. He was the original Dutch phantom back in the day and it's said ALW considered him one of the best phantoms.

About an hourâŠ..Floor singing the national hymn of the Netherlands on the Grand Prix in Zandvoort. I am curieus. Go Floor
She was beautiful. But i heard her say in her pre-race interview that she would be doing it twices in case our Max would win, but unfortunately that didn't happen, (the song) i mean, I also liked it that there was a tiny' bit of 'Floorstyle' in the music. I was actually hoping for a little bit more on her Floor's. Maar we kunnen niet alles willen en hebben he! lol.

Floor had many awesome performances on this show in several genres.
The version that almost everyone loves. Fast, exciting and excellent singing.
Floor is the present that keeps on giving, constantly amazing, and you think yeah she is great but she can't.........then she does, over and over. She loves vocal challenges and is constantly honing her voice. She is 41 and never been more powerful and versatile than right now, until tomorrow.
i am just returned from Floors Solo Show in Hertme, NL. The front row was only two man-lengths away from her (or less, from my position it was just over 4 meters and I was not quite in front because of two little ladies) and our group could clearly hear her voice not only over the speakers ... an indescribable experience. And yes, Henk Poort was there too ... last they sang this song .... believe me .... live, from a distance ... that was closer than the artists on the couch in this recording ..... you know this video and think you know what to expect ... no, you don't... it just blows you away ... and they have sung this song together so many times by now ... they've gotten even better, but it has the same magic between the two of them and Henk totally freaks out at the end every time ... and he really knows this song ^^
Always get goose bumps when she sing she has that effect on people keep rocking

Great reaction!! Love Floor and Henk, and glad that i could go finally almost more then a year later to her concert last year that would have been in october 2020 but changed multiple times and finally it went to september 1st 2021!

Funfact: Phantom of the opera is a French novel from 1909/10. This is from the musical of Andrew Lloyd Webber from 1986. The first film adaptation was already in 1915, which was followed by numerous others.

Henk Poort is a Dutch singer born in 1956. Poort's major roles include Erik (the Phantom) in the Dutch version of The Phantom of the Opera and Jean Valjean in the first staging of the Dutch version of Les Misérables in the late 1990s. He also sang as one of the "17 Valjeans" at Les Misérables: The Dream Cast in Concert.

If you haven't heard it you may want to check out the Nightwish version of this song from End of an Era concert with original singer Tarja Turunen. It's considered the best iteration of the song. Even Andrew Lloyd Webber has said its his favorite version.

You should check how Nightwish performed Phantom of the Opera (End of An Era) with their first lead singer Tarja. I've seen so many versions of this and to me Marco (bass player) is the best Phantom ever. All the other guys, like Henk, are so serious and oh so boring.
Phantom at the End of an Era concert in 2005 is the first song I ever heard Nightwish perform. It is why I listened to more from the band. The big hoopla comparing Floor and Tarja is frustrating. So many opera pros and vocal coaches are there to react to the ladies and when Marko starts to sing, watching their jaws drop never ceases to amuse me!!
@@randymarple9830 One heckuva way to introduce to the band đ I'm from Finland so it was impossible to miss them in the late 90s. Totally agree about hoopla, it's so stupid. It really annoys a lot when newer fans diss Tarja.
