In this series, we will be revisiting the 1998 World Cup in France using the excellent World Cup 98 PS1 game. Will we see France lift the trophy as the did in real life? Will Football Come Home? Can Scotland get out of the Group Stage?!?! Let's find out together!
In this video, we are at the brand new Stade de France in Saint-Denis for the 1998 World Cup Final, where surprise package Romania take on the host nation and overwhelming favourites France. Romania has been extremely solid on their way to the final, finishing second in Group G and only conceded one goal in the entire tournament, whilst France stormed through Group C then winning two penalty shoot-outs to have the chance to become the first host nation to win the World Cup since Argentina in 1978.
