Surya (Devanagari: सूर्य Sūrya, "the Supreme Light";[2], Kannada: ಸೂರ್ಯ, Burmese: သူရိယ, [θùɹḭja̰]; Malay: Suria; Tamil: சூரியன்; Telugu: సూర్యుడు; Thai: พระอาทิตย์) Suraya or Phra Athit is the chief solar deity in Hinduism, one of the Adityas, son of Kasyapa and one of his wives, Aditi;[3] of Indra; or of Dyaus Pitar (depending by the version). In Hindu religious literature, Surya is notably mentioned as the visible form of God that one can see every day. Furthermore, Shaivites and Vaishnavas often regard Surya as an aspect of Shiva and Vishnu, respectively. For example, the sun is called Surya Narayana by Vaishnavas. In Shaivite theology, Surya is said to be one of eight forms of Shiva, named the Astamurti.
His other names include Vishnu, Vivasvān (Sanskrit root: Vivasvat, विवस्वत्) Ravi (lit. "the Fire Bird"[2]), Aditya (lit. the son of Aditi),[4] Pusha (the best Purifier), Divakar (the maker of the day), Savita (the vivifier), Arka अर्क (the ray), Mitra (friend),[4] Bhanu (light) (Kannada: ಭಾನು), Bhaskar (maker of Light), and Grahapati (the Lord of Grahas).
So ... I've always wondered this ... if we are completely at the mercy of the planets, what happens to free will? Does free will even exist? Why should we even learn astrology if we can't control anything? I'm really lost. Sorry.

+Estefania Lozano Hi... Sun in Sagittarius is a good position according to Vedic Astrology. This is because in the table of planetary friendships, the Sun and Jupiter are mutual friends. So, when the Sun is in Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter), it is as if he is sitting in his best friends house; i.e. he is feeling comfortable.
That said, there are many, many astrological considerations that can reflect your relationship with your father. As Kapiel always says, you must never make the mistake of judging an entire area of your life just by one planet. To get a fuller picture, you will have to see which house the Sun is in, what planets are aspecting it, how it is placed in the divisional charts, what planetary period you are undergoing currently, etc.

Hello Kapil, I have to tell you your videos are really insightful. I saw in one of your videos where you were saying sun is the natural atmakaraka, hence it should never be taken as chara atmakaraka while reading birthcharts. If Sun is in the 4th house.. Its losing its Digblala or directional strength
If it's in Libra, it gets weak unless conjunct with Saturn.

Hi Kapiel. I'm confused, I thought you said in another video, sun is only debilitated in Libra in the first 10 degrees, after that, it is not. However, in this video you state it is still debilitated, if Sun is in the 10-15 degrees, there will be career difficulties. My sun is at 20 degrees Libra in the navamsa with Saturn. If trying to understand my situation better, can you clairify? Thanks!

+Charu Chauhan That is true. The Sun is very badly placed in my chart too. It is in Capricorn, which is the house of its enemy (Saturn). Also, it is conjunct Rahu, which is the worst enemy of the Sun since according to mythology, Rahu 'eats up' the Sun and causes eclipses. It is also conjunct the "Gulika/Maandi" which is a highly malefic shadow point.
I had a really really weird relationship with my father. He was an alcoholic and my Mom left him when I was a toddler. You might not believe it, but I have never even seen my father in person. Recently I got the news that he had passed away. I have no idea how he died. Obviously, he had no role to play in my upbringing.
I really hope my willpower and decision-making power are not affected!! Anyway, Kapiel says that a badly placed or eclipsed Sun reduces its malefic effects by the age of 35... I am many years behind the age of 35, but I hope it is true!

Your conscious and subconscious thoughts determine the greater part of your life reality and your manifesting of life reality.
I would strongly suggest you do a couple of things that could really benefit you and move you closer to your goals:
1. Ask yourself, "What exactly do you feel you may have missed in the relationship with your dad - write that/those points down.
2. What do you feel may have been different in your life, had you have had a healthy relationship with your father AND a balanced home with both parents working their roles in balance.
Write these points down.
(Now this is where it becomes a bit more difficult for me, since I don't know your points - but I'm going to proceed as if I did, based on your comment.
3. Of your points - What is the most important?
Let's say it's - The Advisor role to nurture you in making wise choices and thus giving you the "Self-Confidence" to make various choices on your own as you venture out into the world. Like purchasing a vehicle - measuring reliability, budget, and getting one that you find reflects your style... AND not getting "overcharged in the Sales Process"
Take a notebook:
Write down each item that you know you need to achieve - below that list - write down - your desired color, style, and any perks - like remote starting, bluetooth, leather seats ...
Know that there may be 1 or all of these in any budget.
Now you pick a style/model within your budget - Then you pick at least 2 more that are comparable- 3 best but must have 3 minimum to look at - (in this scenario you can't lose on achieving a vehicle that satisfy's your goals for BUDGET and DESIRED VEHICLE- Yoh have 4 different brands - Chevy, Ford, Buick, Toyota, maybe Kia, Nissan, and Mitsubishi also -
But 4-5 is sufficient.
Now you go to Consumer Guide (may have to purchase a partial membership - BUT IT IS WAY WORTH IT - and you enter the model/year/details - pull up vehicle #1, print it -
Now #2 and print- but before you go to 3, go ahead and run a comparison between 1 and 2 - and this will tell you ALL THE DETAILS - of value to you and costs.
Do this for each vehicle -
Then - take your printed copies and make any notes - attach to copy.
Check general insurance prices by model - this is a bit harder, so you may want to go in person to an insurance agent - explain that you're doing your "homework to prepare for purchase and just need a ballpark estimate" or if you have a fmly/friend in the business - that works.
Now you are in command of facts - but there is more to master before you go to dealer.
You must go on CZcams AND GOOGLE - Google 1st, search "How to buy or lease (whichever meets your needs) a new or used (new is easier) vehicle" "Negotiating a Car Purchase"
... And there will be many but there's one through Google that is the Consumer Guide to Auto Buying - (pretty certain that's correct) and it has every detail you need to know - very thorough and very correct.
Then CZcams - there's 1 or 2 really good ones - by guys that worked in car sales.
Key points to remember!!!
1. Always used a Bank or other Lending source for any loan needed (have that settled before you shop)
2. DO NOT TELL THE DEALER HOW YOU PLAN TO PAY FOR THE VEHICLE, LET THEM THINK YOU'LL USE THEIR FINANCING.
3. Do not tell them "how much you want to spend, monthly payment or total - just say - "I looked on-line, this is in my budget."
They will continue to ask you in various ways - but a wise sales guy can measure about what you want to spend by your vehicle choice -
4. Do not act superior or talk down to them - allow them to think you're average in knowledge about the vehicle and sales process.
5. Any promotion is simply a "Marketing ploy" - those really don't do much except confuse the buyer.
(There will be 3 - 5 detailed angles to get best car price and you can use what's best.)
They are in the How to guide for buying - read it well and make notes.
6. The suggested sticker price is simply that - use the pricing you got in your research as a guide.
They can come 2000 - 3000, maybe more off that price, but will use added options as an excuse for price.
They will ask you to make an offer - or give you a number -
(Don't carry the file in with you but do have a little note pad w details or phome memo)
They will not ever give anyone a pen and Las- you must have your own and phone calculator.
Best way to deal with price - look at car - compare to details - before you set down to negotiate (go to the dealer that has the one you like best 1st cause if you an settle on a price - you have the advantage of "well I've got another vehicle I really like as well, that I've got to go look at. If you leave the property - w/I them dropping the price, they will call ya by next day - "It's a game, but best players get best deals"
Go to other dealer and go through process again.
Key: know the vehicles/costs, get loan through bank - do not ever give them a number and when you get close to the deal and they want you to go to finance- get them to write the proce/vehicle down - like you're going to check insurance -
Once you get the price you want just say -
I'm pleased with this let me just go withdraw the money - I'm paying in cash or via bank-draft -
Now there's a true example of the kinds of benefits one gets from dad - these give one confidence in advice and valuable how-to knowledge.
Point is this advice is also available through other sources, an uncle, a friends dad, a friend that has mature wisdom and enjoys nurturing young folks that need the advice - maybe someone in your church, social organizations, school, job, etc.
The point is - a niece or twice advice on the basic how this- is sufficient - The remainder is simply - The goal, the list (above) the Google search - research and watch videos - and - ask questions before you take action.
The remaining - advice dad's give - is the point that would better be discussed with a mentor, guru, priest, pastor, etc.
But bottom line - if you didn t know there was a planet conflict- it wouldn't hinder you near as bad - and even though there maybe - unless you had Kapiel read your whole chart - you don't know if there isn't a benefiting aspect or yoga in the mix and the whole time "You are Manifesting a reality that can be change this second!"
Every single thing we think we can/can't do it going to be delivered as we think - because we are either not pursuing the desire and applying positive thought, feeling, knowing - we already basically have it - or we are going about it with a half-arse' attitude - and the universe, and ourselves are giving/getting just what we keep stressing on.
So Meditate and clear the ick out of your m8nd - and get your "goal energy" on - and stop being your own limitation - Determine Goal - make a picture of it - begin necessary steps/actions to achieve it - and go ahead and think like you have it - and keep your thoughts on it to yourself until your setting on it -

I maybe had to work a little harder, by I had achieved Marketing Manager of a Major Hospital by age 28, and on later to Executive Sales in National Lab business, 1st place in annual sales 5 - 6, #1 sales in the industry 2 years - managed 6 Million in Sales and became RVP by age 35 on to COO in my 40's
I had a health issue that clipped me, but I assure you Sun in 10th or Cap is not at all negative- especially if it's at MH.
My sis has that, she's a CPA, owned a Tractor/equipment dealership and has mad land and farming income.
Just pick your Passion - as long as you're working toward what inspires you you'll be successful.
But no CEO ever doubted his own abilities and not too many in the USA ever cared what was in his 10th house or chart...
Remember the chart is supposed to simply show is where we have strengths and areas we need to work on, otherwise it becomes a malefic value for the chart native -
Make it your measure of where to apply attention - and start with the 1st House - pretend Jupiter is in there - and maybe a Mars aspect!

I have sun in 10th house and it’s sextile Saturn in 12th (I guess that’s more of a western astrology thing but whatever) and I have to kick my own ass to get myself to do anything. I haven’t had a job for a year because I let myself get verbally abused in another job, it was my fault BECAUSE I wasn’t using my sun power, my self worth. The guy was a worthless piece of shit and I let him walk over me. I am afraid of assuming control over my amazing chart, I don’t have a single planet retrograde, I have five planets in my 11th house but I’m afraid to go out and make friends because I feel worthless. I need to accept the fact that I am better than other people in general, because if I don’t people are going to USE me.

Due to dig bala (directional strength). Sun gains directional strength in the 10th house. Since 4th house is the opposite it gets a little weak there
