I've been following both channels for a long time but just stumbled across this video. I grew up near Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley but now I live right on Percy Priest and fish there all the time. Whether you realize it or not, you guys do a lot of good for positive representation of us shooters and outdoorsmen. Keep it up!
Caught my 1st +5 lbr. at PP just the other day. We were staying at Nashville Shores and fished right out the back door around the bank across from the marina. Crankbaits Spinnerbaits , wackyworms...NUTHIN ! Got up the next morning walked down to a cove by the boat ramp and caught 3 bass on texas rigged crawdad. 1st one was less than a lb. 2nd was around 2 and the 3rd (according to my old berkley dial scale) was 6 pounds. There's several flat boulders in the back of this cove (like stepping stones) and I threw my bait as far back behind those as I could. Barely felt the fish hit but saw the line move a little and just started reeling . Didn't really even set the hook but the hook went out and then back into his mouth. If we ever go back to Nashville ,I know where the honey hole is !
I'm from Middle TN as well. I fished Percy Priest today near the Lamar Ramp. I managed about a 2 pound bass, but the target was carp. My buddy and I saw about a dozen carp rising the last time we fished, so I took some peanut butter and bread to make dough balls. I almost lost a rod, I looked down as it was sliding into the lake and I dove for it, but the fish was already gone.
good work. I just get nervous when you're holding the fish horizontal by the mouth. puts a lot of pressure on their jaw. either hold vertical or use a second hand to support their body weight
