Those are the kind of K pop videos that should be going viral, not the "Idol x criticized by K netizens for *insert human behaviour*"
EXACTLYYYYYY
I feel like not enough people talk about Bibi but she's incredible i love her so much, she's openly feminist, bisexual, make noir content, has a beautiful voice, can rap, can be cute, sexy, elegant i love her so muuuuuuch
All of her songs are amazing, the quality of her art is outstanding. She focuses a lot on sending a message and it shows.
So happy that people who listend to eclipse actually exist
eclipse is criminally underappreciated!
I love that song, I love Moonbyul, she's one of my most favorite women in general.
could not agree more with y'all
Bibi is such a queen when it comes to more serious women topics. She's not afraid to open any of those. It's not that typical empowering "women are the best", it's so much darker (Jotto is in my mind now for example), but we need that as well.
Jotto is my favourite song of hers, but all of them are amazing.

Omg i love animal farm
@@notwerkinginthishouse8634 Animal Farm is criminally unappreciated

Is it inspired by kill bill? Which reminds me of kill bill by brown eyed girls , women>>>
Lion by G-idle is such a complex song. Yuqi, Minnie, Shuhua, Minnie and Soojin's lines represent grace and beauty of a woman, with lines and instrumentals so touching and then...the beat changes, to something more powerful and we see Soyeon's representating female rage and power. Its beautifully done. Just like your video! Amazing keep it up!!
g-idle are the feminist queens of kpop. they always after lion focused on feminism. love them so much
YES I AM - MAMAMOO
WANNA BE MYSELF - MAMAMOO
GOOD LUCK - MAMAMOO COVER
I'M B - HWASA
it's deeply saddening to watch the cycle of "women only being praised/remembered for their beauty and not their minds" Cleopatra, Marylin Munroe, Princess Diana and now Wonyoung. We all know that there are plenty of other women who have also suffered this fate, we need to stop.
I knew people said that Maria song was about Hwasa but I didn't know why she was addressing herself as Maria so thanks for clearing that up.
Also, there's an interesting thing I noted while watching this video.
Women are more remembered and praised for their beauty no matter how many good and great things they accomplish in their life. Like, Princess Diana even. Yes, I know she was beautiful. But I didn't know her personality was great too, what she was as a person, how she did charities and all that.
And, in case of men, after their death and some times even when they are alive, if they are beautiful (handsome or whatever), it's more like their crimes will be forgotten. Ted Bundy and all the psychopath killers who can present themselves as charming are sometimes forgotten about how they were not just beautiful men but also killers.
Extreme example but less extreme examples also exist.
In a rape case, a woman will be there being judged on everything, from what she looked like to what she was dressed as. Most people wpuld not give a damn about what she had achieved for the country while she asks for justice.
But the man (in this case, the assailant) will be looked at and wondered what will become of him after he receives the punishment. Would jailtime be too harsh? It was just one night? That kinda thing. They will forget that he's standing trial because he raped someone.
Bibi is literally such a queen vengeance was my #1 song on spotify turns out i played it 230 times. Not enough people talk about her shes so criminally underrated.
i love ur editing btw
Just saying but Cleopatra being only known for her Beauty came mostlry after her Death. But yeah People in History being considerd more beautiful then there actually were is a very common thing. Because apparently being smart, charismatic a good Leader etc. isnt enough for some People.
Soo happy you included our Jennifer's 'I ≠ DOLL'! That song is such a bop nd the fact that she wrote it all by herself and also did all the illustrations in the mv is so freaking awesome! That song is soo underrated -
She is such an inspiration
Ikr!
ohhh i just LOVE how eclipse was part of this video. even if the lyrics themselves may not be explicitly about feminism or female empowerment, the whole idea behind it and the fact that moonbyul is always pushing gender roles definitely makes up for it.
Gidle means girl-idle and there main focus is women and women empowerment and Id love for them to collab with Mamamoo!!
Even though the members of IVE are not listed as writer/lyricist credits for Either Way, it just feels like they had a heavy influence on the message of the song. It just like very authentic to the members themselves
Listen to shine with me written by wonyoung it’s beautiful
Hearing about all the problems the idols have to fight with, makes me so sad 😢
Realy good video
Itzy (as it's ironic becasue of the all hate they get) have most encourage songs I have heard. They debut literally started like this - love yourself message. Over the years they got so much hate but thier music still hits different. Bet on me talks about being still able to get off of their knees
"Erase all the fear in front of my eyes
Only think about the day to come
Hey world, I hope you're nice to me
But if you're not, gotta still be real to me"
Newest comeback and Lia song Blossom, talks about blooming in her own time, that she doesn't need to be always on top to be the best and she can grow more and more to be better at her own time.
The so called "downfall" of Itzy's song sneakers talks about being them, when all people hate them and have problem with everything they do.
"I want to run freely, others' eyes are on me
But I don't care now (Hey, hey)
I don't know how far I'll go
But I'll start right now
Yeah, alright (Alright)
Don't stop me to the top (Yeah)
Don't worry 'bout it
'Cause you know I put my sneakers on"
It's amazing how this girls still are one of the top - love yourself bands when all they get is hate. Yuna is a "pick me", Chaer is "ugly", Lia is "untalented".
Hey, as a rabid Moomoo it's nice to see Mamamoo get the credit they richly deserve for standing up, not just for women, but for all sorts of progressive values. Fully 5 of the 18 songs in Parts 1 and 2 are by Mamamoo the group ("Yes I Am," "Ah Oop" and "Hip") or by a member of Mamamoo (Hwasa's "I Love My Body" and Moonbyul's "Eclipse). One of the songs, ("Ah Oop"), was co-written by eSNa, (who, IMHO, is a brilliant writer/performer). I just wanted to make you aware, (in case you weren't), of an eSNa song that very much fits your feminist theme and shows off her incredible talent. The song is called "Attention." I don't think it's my place to put a link to it in the comments, but it's easy enough to find. Just copy and paste "에스나 (eSNa) - Attention MV" (without the quotation marks) in the CZcams search box and it'll come up. (There's an English version as well.)
Moonbyul is the type of girl pan guys like
Bibi is my favorite soloist in kpop, and gidle is my favorite group for so many reasons (i also love mamamoo, as well as some other groups and soloists, just saying the ones in these videos for reason).
These women are very talented and also push so much more in kpop than you would even know to expect, especially if you are coming from western society whose music scene is soooo much less conservative (though women are still always more harshly judged than men, and usually not for their skill like men might be but for things like beauty, personality (must be passive and polite), clothing choices (must cover most of the body, but not everything or you're too prude), body type (must be thin, but not too thin), skin color (must be lightskinned, especially black women should be mixed with light skin or lighter brown skin. White women are the only ones who are allowed to be tan, but still not too tan), sexuality (in this instance i mean showing of anything considered remotely sexual, not queerness -although queer women usually also face more backlash than queer men) among so many other things). Women continue to be belittled and scrutinized, beaten online by ruthless individuals (and groups) who uphold strict views they believe all women should fit in.
Jeon soyeon has done so much for kpop, her songs are catchy, she produces most of gidles songs herself (and writes and composes, i focus on producing here because, even in the western music world, producing music is a highly male-dominated field, despite many women who write and compose their own songs) and jeon soyeon pushes so hard to get her songs and her /messages/ heard. I believe she is a big force to be reckoned with in korea, and considering she is only 25 years old, i can only imagine what other messages she might push forward and what she can do for the kpop scene even further from here. It makes me happy to see how big gidle has gotten in the past few years.
I'd speak more on bibihere, but just listen to her, lol. Im tired and didnt expect myself to do a mini analysis this late at night. I could write a paper on these women and their effects on the kpop scene as well as feminism in korea, but there are more who could explain it better than i, and i haven't written papers in, god, 8 years? Idk, just support these women and listen to good music that is both wonderful to listen to and leaves a good message.
Возможность видеть айдл в этих видео едва не заставляет меня плакать от гордости за этих потрясающих девушек и в частности Соён. Рада, что стэню такую группу, безумно люблю🤧💙
BoA - Girls on top (2005)
,,Everyone’s telling me I should be somebody I don’t wanna be. I won’t ever let them get me"
,,Open up your mind. We can make it work if we take the time to realize we’re all the same inside. You can’t judge me by the way that I look on the exterior. No, I just can’t take it anymore."
,,This is who I am, So I just wanna be true to myself. (That’s just the way I like it, don’t wanna be somebody else) If you could understand why it’s never enough (I’m gonna make it happen. Who says there can’t be girls on top?)''
would love a part 3!!! I'd add lip & hip by hyuna and the great mermaid by lesserafim and bad boy by red velvet and lalalay by sunmi!!
I recommend Sistar - One more day. The message is a bit different but the song slaps go check it out guys
it's about abuse towards women + wlw so we stan
@@yuichizhova yep
Estoy feliz de que al menos reconozcan a Mamamoo y sus excelentes miembros de esta forma.
I'm so glad I happened upon your channel and your videos. Absolutely love your take on this topic!
If you ever do a part 3, there’s also girls’ capitalism by tripleS!
You HAVE to make a part 3! You talk so well about each song's power and beauty, and present your interesting point of view too. I never would've notice that Kazino and Eclipse could paint about protecting other people 😂
While we're at it I also highly recommend Mamamoo's Wanna Be Myself and Egotistic. The former has such a nice message about stop comparing yourself already because we're all amazing in our different ways, and the latter is a perfect song to convince people that they don't need ungrateful, narcissistic partner 😂 you can also follow that with Wind Flower that talks about the emotional power people can have in grieving their broken relationship.
I swear Mamamoo's songs quality are no joke 😭❤️
Miss A discography should be here
4X4EVER - MAMAMOO
I commented already but I'm rewatching this yet again lol can't get enough of this series you've made. Bibi is such a good actress in Bibi Vengeance and the scene you included gave me goosebumps when I saw the video the first time. Still love how you included songs for both their lyrics and their videos and even the subtlest of messages that a lot of people might overlook. I really hope you get more subscribers from this series and the rest you do - you've got a great layout for your videos and I feel like the editing is wonderful too.
we need more songs talking about real issues, and it's cool they do it even tho they recieve hate ofr that like fck k-pop with their fake perfeccionism
Bibi song is my fav
gain’s ‘FXXK U’ is an amazing and very underrated song about sexual harassment in relationships, I think it would fit very well in this list and it deserves more attention!
I love every single piece in this video. They deserve so much better.
i was lloking for queen card tbh
I am not a fan of IVE. I've heard their titles songs and knew some members and that's all.
But when "Either way" was released, I was curious and decided to look and I cried throughout whole MV.
I knew about hate girls get, esp Wonyong, and even without getting deep I was like: "Okey, this really seems unreasonable and far stretched". Watching the clip and reading the lirics made me feel for girls.
Let's just all applaud to powerful girl Wonyong, who won the sue against that @#$ youtuber who spread hate and misinformation. What a queen indeed.
I dont need a man by miss A!!!
I'd recommend one of my favourite K-pop songs, Bloom by Gain of Brown Eyed Girls: czcams.com/video/K64mb5KUhhs/video.htmlsi=aI08fF__agkX5ZfR The song and music video represent female sexuality in an empowering, self-confident way, from the women's perspective! Brown Eyed Girls as a whole have demonstrated female sexuality in confident and unconventional way (such as the Iconic(tm) Warm Hole and the gay scene in Abracadabra)
you never know by blackpink in pt 3
hwabyul 🤍
also butterfly by loona
oh and i want that by gidle!! it also fits "female hysteria" video ig lol
SLAYYYYYYY ❤❤❤
Itzy??
