Hi mate. It's been brilliant watching your videos of our new home. This is my first ever comment on a CZcams channel. I was on holiday near Southport with my wife and kids last week and visited New Brighton to do a kids treasure hunt. Whilst doing this I looked across the Mersey to see the new Stadium in all it's glory. It was absolutely amazing. Carry on with the great work and thanks for all your hard work. 😃 COYB💙

Thanks again Nick. The reflections on this stadium are brilliant. There are the windows on the South stand shimmering with the reflection of the dock, but also, on 3 mins, look at the way the barrel roofing reflects the blue sky.

Once again an excellent video, question iofter ask is will the riverside walkway be open from town ? Two small bridges neede by dockers clock . But this route would provide a route for thousands to avoid the busy and fume filled dock road . A great walk ( perhaps not on a January night 😉)

Alright Nick, another great video. I don't know if you've noticed but every video I keep spotting the old dock wall just behind the goal posts on the south stand. Do you have any idea if they'll be covered up eventually or there to stay?
Thks Nic, very clear video. See there are still a few more seats left to put in on the right hand side of the screen at 10.16 time. Also, when you visited the stadium did you notice that certain seats were more spongy looking and not the straight hard plastic? I'm guessing those plush seats are for the main stand people to sit in? 😉
I think you must have missed several droners' videos several months ago that focused on the 'Premium' seats, which are for the main Hospitality offerings in the West Stand. We've yet to see the 'Executive' seats appear in front of the 'Patio windows' nor the Companion seats for the Accessibility locations.
@@davidbadcock2225 Yes have missed them obviously David, I went to Europe end of May got back home to NZ beginning July, so didn't get a chance to catch up on the type of seats. All good. Thanks again.
Starting to look really tidy on the east and west outside the stadium. Sure this has been asked a million times but I've missed it if it has...
On the east and west sides of the South Stand, are we going to put some barrel cladding on the lower sections or is the detail being left exposed to show the Leitch-style design in keeping with what we have at Goodison currently? If so, I like the nod to the past but equally my OCD thinks it would look a more complete finish if they covered it.

I know we can "pause" footage but the speed of flight seemed a little rushed in this video and it was distracting. I don't know whether others thought the same? I have no POI's to add that haven't already been commented on previously.
It was a dreadful, unexpected result yesterday after a short period of quiet confidence that this won't be the fourth concurrent season of turmoil and anguish. I know it's just the first match but we needed to set the tone for the season and get all the negative external comments off our backs.
Have you tried going to 'settings' and changing the playback speed? Works for me, HTH :)

@@th7245 Yes, obviously re-setting the play speed to be less than 'normal' is an option and thank you for the reminder. However, the use of the word 'Normal' in the settings, at which I play all youtube videos, is a clue to the issue I described, if it has to be set at a lower speed for one video.

Amazing filming as always Nick. A few things:
You can see scaffolding on the south stand, above mezzanine on the exterior of the upper terracing. Not sure if it's new but may be putting something up in that area?
Do we know what type of seating the currently empty hospitality area will have in the very center of the west stand slightly above the players dugouts? It's been empty for a long time now.
I was there on Saturday morning before the match and saw workers doing something on the inner barrel cladding of the southeast corner. Hopefully that will be finished to match the southwest soon to really complete the stand.
Before you get an informed response, can I add.... Above the area you speak about that looks as though it's going to have maybe, sponsored seats for those lucky enough, you get to the upper tier, where there is clearly a section for wheelchair access (4 entrances onto that section), and below it, another section empty of seats but quite clearly no wheelchair access. Can we assume it's a camera gantry, or something of that ilk?
@@SultanofWooltongreat question. I'd think you're correct. There's not actually any stairs to access it at all by the looks of it. Only way in looks to be hopping down from the disabled viewing area 🤷♂️

Re Para #2: do you mean the scaffolding on top of the Viewing Gallery roof at 3:40 mins? Those trio of scaffold towers surrounding the grey vertical steels started at the SW end nearly 2 months ago and have been migrating gradually eastwards. I think they're just repainting them at the tops but they could just be making sure the seals around the steels meeting the concrete bowl are good. No one has yet come up with a certainty. They had the same start at the NW corner and those have gradually migrated eastwards too. Repainting or shrouding seems to be be a process that's being carried out on the North Stand overhang black upright steels as well, as the NNE area posts have been various colours of Black, Grey and White in the last couple of weeks.
Re Para #3: "Executive". I've not seem any pictures or diagrams of their spec, though.
@@SultanofWoolton Sultan, yes, it's to be the Primary TV Camera plinth and commentary desks (17 of them). The 'Press' will be located at the top/back of the Upper Tier West Stand, where you can see a couple of terraces without seats.
The three empty rows behind the dugout are called 'enclosure' and will be several groups of x4 seats with in match waiter/concierge services for food/drink with screens built in like business/first class on an airliner. They will also have access to the x3 themed restaurants and bar called 'the Yard' pre/post game.
What are the areas in the stands that don’t currently have any seats, presumably some of these are for wheelchairs. Is there still more executive type seating to be installed?
Paul: yes and yes, broadly. Look back at Nick's Library, November, 2023 to see the allocated Accessibility locations in more detail. None of the Executive-type chairs have made an appearance yet. The 'premium' West Stand Hospitality Seats are in but not the 'Executive-Type.
See comment above re 'the enclosure' some imagery on the stadium website. 👍

Thankfully, Young is suspended for the next couple of games (shame it’s not longer). Problem is, Dyche will play Holgate there 🤦🏼♂️

They need to put the Everton crest on it in multiple places because it looks a bit characterless
Due to the area it is in there won't be any big everton logos on the exterior just smaller blue banners etc on the lampposts in the fan plaza. Also more Everton branding will be added to the inside of the stadium once Laing O'rourke hand the ground over to the club later in the year.
There are plenty of potential locations for EFC and Naming Sponsor Branding identified in the approved plans from Sept., 2020 on the structure of the building but LoR are not responsible for the customisation phase of the project, which will be undertaken by EFC through separate sub-contractors in the same way that they engage sub-contractors for all work at GP.
@@rosse6705 Not quite so re branding on the stadium structure. There are many locations for branding and signage identified in the approved plans, even if we don't know yet how EFC choose to use them.

No chance, They've got 8 months from the handover to sort any teething problems out. Laing O'rourke are spot on as well the work has been immaculate. I can't imagine there to be any major issues if any at all. Probably smaller cosmetic type jobs what wouldn't take long to sort out.

Hi Nick I see your club as started this season off in the same way as last season, losing at home yet again what is going on at that club, if you continue this trend you will be in yet another relevantly and might survive it this time, and we don’t want to this as the league Derby games long run would come to an end, then the sequence would have to be reset at 0(zero) in order to start a new run in the league,

I don't recall seeing any details of Dan Meis stating that but unless someone can counter-claim it (like Dan himself) it's certainly an idea worthy of consideration, even if it's in hindsight. You've lit the kindling, see if you can keep the fire going . . . .
After getting a technical tip from @nothing-jg7fw I changed my playback speed to 0.25. Nick, if you haven't listened to one of your vids at that speed, please do it! You sound like me after a bottle and half of scotch. Funny! And I hope it helps Mr. Badcock with his issue of your video being too fast. Love it And now I have just changed the speed to 2.0 and it is just as funny
