- Mosquito Pass Jeep Trail from FairPlay Colorado to Leadville. The summit is over 13,000 ft elevation and the views are spectacular. Tons of history about the pass. Todd and I were lucky to make this run in September when there were Fall colors popping all over.
Yea buddy! Awesome fall colors!!! Bro you are so colors to 1,000 subscribers! Let’s go!
Thank you my friend! I’ll be running some trails in Sedona AZ starting February 4th with some friends. More videos to come!
That looks like a fun trail to run thats not far from town. Liked the numerous little water crossings and the lake. Great scenery. Thanks for the video John.
Thanks Jim I appreciate that. The trail itself was pretty rocky, but the views were outstanding. The old minds that are up there a really cool to see too. A lot of history.
Another excellent video John. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much. It was pretty interesting to learn some of the history of mosquito pass And all of the mining that went on up there. as always thanks for watching I appreciate it.
We really enjoyed Mosquito Pass when we did it some years back. We really miss our Colorado/Utah trips. Hopefully we’ll get to do it again before we get to old....
Hey, thanks for watching Mike I appreciate it so much. Hey, if you ever get back out here to Colorado, I will do everything in my power for us to be able to hook up and go to Jeep in together.
Awesome video! Mosquito Pass is definitely one of my favorites. I can't believe it's Colorado's 4th highest road. I definitely have the bell on to notify me when you drop new vids.
DaSportsBabe, Thank you for your support, sub and comments!! I didn’t know this trail is the 4th highest in Colorado. I try and keep my videos simple and just want to share the adventure.
John it was another fun day out on the trails with you !!
Nice video !!
Thanks Todd! I had a blast. Thanks for leading on this one!
Nice John. Looks like a fun day but then, any day on a trail in the mys is a fun day. I remember doing Mosquito Pass I think we saw 1 other vehicle all day. It was a fun trail.
Thanks Mike! I didn’t know that you ran Mosquito Pass before!
@@outlaw9232 yep. We still had the JK. Maybe fall 2017. I can't remember. We did Saints John same year

That’s another great trail and you still get above timberline.
Looks like a good run. In the 80s I had skied at Copper Mt.
Thanks Tim! It was a fun run and exploring some old mines. Thanks for watching!
Did you go in 4 wheel. ?
Hi Ruth, yes we did. There were some steep loose, rocky sections, and it just made climbing a lot easier without tearing up the trail.
@@outlaw9232 thanks for the video my be snow now? Maybe next year
@@ruthimes8980 the mountains are forecasted to get some snow this weekend and it’s getting chilly up there. This time of year it’s hit or miss in the Rocky Mountains for weather.
Do they stock those lakes via helicopter?
I don’t think so since there is a trail that you can drive to get there.
The legs are pretty shallow too, but I know there’s small trout in there. 😊
@@outlaw9232 yeah the little 4''.. figures.
@sinepari9160 I was the guy fishing. There are 5 pound cutthroat trout in that lake and alot of them. I think early is better for fishing them and Flys seem to work better.
@@Iceman_777 you have my attention now! haha
@@sinepari9160 That's Oliver Twist lake
