Maybe because Microsoft is not solely a gaming company so most people have a Microsoft account if they use windows ? While PlayStation is literally a gaming company , if i have a pc - i have a Microsoft account , i have a Microsoft store installed so its not a problem to link that INSTALLED platform to a game . But if i have a PC , then i most likely DONT have a PlayStation . So now i need to create a PSN account to play a game i paid money for ON PC .
